  • I know how stupid this going to sound .. But I cant get over how much he looks like robin williams :3

  • is it just me or do these robot "laws" sound extremely similiar to mjor storyline of i robot? sounds like plagiarism!

  • @gaararox2000 You should google Isaac Asimov. Now you just made yourself seem like a fool.

  • 0:13 LMFAO

  • Wow, I guess he can sleep too. That was so amazing!

  • I HATE THAT BLONDE BITCH TOO, BUT IT'S OK, CAUSE DEEP DOWN, SHE KNOWS...THAT SHE IS A DUMB BITCH.

  • i still cannot believe that the girl who's Little Miss in this movie is Jesse Eisenberg's sister. She is so adorable in this film. :-)

  • That skanky little character would be skinning the neighborhood pets if she didn't have a robot to torture.

  • good night

  • surley one day robots will become humans

  • I hate to see the electric bill after having this robot.

  • 5:00 "hello"...

  • This movie is way beyond its time!

  • I can't believe she made him jump out a window!!!!! Harsh, or what?!

  • @PandoraParanorma Would have been a short movie if it was destroyed.

  • @scottieman2 I know, would've been crap too. 2 scenes what a rip off.

  • if you can hate and actor that much, means she's a good actor :D - still, what a BULLY

  • see howe a mean carecter can lead your hole life if you don't handle it fast enough.

  • @drestaboy learn how to spell you piece of shit

  • ROFLMFAO! "Now Jump!" Jumps there and then!

  • i want a robo maid like him!!!!! i would put fitted caps on him hahaha. make him look G.

  • what an old ass Benz trying to be futuristic lol. and my uncles new beamer already says good morning and welcome. but not his last name lol.

  • The father remembers me Carl Sagan =P

  • this movie made me cry

  • GOOD!

    night...

    XDDD

  • No shit, when he was cleaning the basement, I thought he was in my uncle's house! Looks the same!

  • ha at 1:43 hes getting High like bender off of that episode of futurama

  • Well at least we got the talking car by 2010!

  • @rjereza i was wondering why those law sound so familiar...

  • i like this movie the robot is nice

  • The laws are the same as I, Robot...

  • @rowzmari1784 Correct, but you have to understand, the 3 laws of robotics were written by the same dude who wrote both this and I, Robot. The 3 laws of Robotics are pretty much the same in all things though. Except Terminator.

  • I weep for the future depected in this movie, humans think that simply saying ''kitchen'' to what is essentially a computer in the shape of a man is sufficient direction to go into the kitchen. saying that could mean anything, flood the kitchen, burn the kitchen, check if the kitchen is clean, self destruct yourself in the kitchen.

  • @SpecterReflector that really make you weep? you need a hobby

  • @nastycruelsnail says the guy who responds to a month old comment.

  • @SpecterReflector If the robot is learn that "kitchen" means "go to the kitchen" it's fine! I learned my dog that "door" meant "go to the door". However, you sure are right that it is pretty lazy to not be able to say "can you go to the kitchen, please", even to a robot, or a dog. I'm lazy!

  • Why make a robot look like a human, making them like insects would be much more efficient in terms of labour. ants for example. humans are physically built to hunt other animals and run and manipulate the environment; would you really want a thing built to be a slave to do all that?

  • "Good"

    "Night"

*peeks around the corner to look at Andrew"

    "Sorry Sir"

    LOL!

  • LOL, I remember seeing this in the theatres, and thinking "Household robots in 2005? No way!" Here we are in 2010, and still no household robots.

Of course, I don't think we'll have robots like Andrew even by 2020. That kind of sophisticated android is still at least two or three decades away, and only the super rich will be able to afford one. But the family presented here, if the time is changed to 2035, would be plausible.

  • @datalal624 back in the 2000s was different that technology did happen and were great but in the 2010s be a lot more different and we do have robots now but start off very small but will get better in the Future in 2035 that year be a lot different from the movie i robot be very more futuristic this movie is good to its like it is based on possibility and i love this 21st century better than the 20th century

  • @datalal624 in the 2010s which we are are we could have robots may walk and talk if not than in the 2020s robots will be walking around doing anything for us and its self who know wat robots can be like in the future i know robots be very cool and very amazing can have a robot like this but different i know theres robots now but small at first

  • @mquiroz90

Why is your comment constructed so badly? A lot of it doesn't make sense.

  • @MarshFacev2 u just dont understand thats all its a lot to explain

  • @MarshFacev2

How dare you say that. I'm perfecly capable of understanding anything your brain vomits up, you just cant write properly. I understand the basic jist of what your TRYING to say, you just cant write it properly. I'm sponsored by an electronics control system company to make robotic and animatronic displays for the Royal Adelaide Show. I've won $500 in an inventions competition as well. How dare you talk to me about not understanding robotics in society.

  • boring movie

  • lol i love this movie so much! Especially the ending. I cried so much :( He died with his love awwh :) Its so cute! :)

  • When this first came out, 2005 (when they first get Andrew) seemed so far away

  • LOL I love how he pats his pockets like for a second he's thinking about giving Andrew a tip

The 'Big Three' is completed by the writer Robert A. Heinlein whose works include 'Stranger in a Strange Land' and 'The Past Through Tomorrow'. Heinlein was extremely popular, but his works have faded a bit.

Also agnostic, Heinlein's later works include 'Job-A comedy of Justice' which depicts a humorous SciFi approach to the bible.

Later writers followed paths laid down by these three fabulous 'science-based' authors. Larry Niven is one of my favorites.

    READ people. READ. READ.

Both writers have been drilled on their religious beliefs by conservative elements in society worried over the effects such men have on the youth of the world.

Asimov was an avowed athiest and Clarke was at most an agnostic.

This is important to remember, for these ideals are seen in movies such as Bicentennial Man and many other modern SciFi films, where even a man-made robot can have what would be called a soul.

Both writers understood the controversy will continue for a long time.

Curiously, we approach the timeline set in motion by Asimov (who wrote one of the greatest of all SciFi futures in his trilogy 'Foundation')

The Three Laws of Robotics comes into effect in 2002 according to Asimov's timeline (who died just before the turn of the century) and it's about correct for our present technology to at least understand. However, our work on cybernetics is lagging behind Asimov's optimistic outlook by a decade or so. 'I, Robot' takes place in 2058.

  • @QPhilms the movie i robot takes place in 2035

  • Isaac Asimov has been called (originally by Arther C. Clarke in fun tit-and-tat competition) the best 'Science Writer'. (Clarke got the best 'Science Fiction Writer' appellation in return from Asimov)

These two writers paved the way for much of our modern look at SciFi, from books like Space Odyssey to the Three Laws of Robotics in 'I, Robot'. (published 1950)

Seminal movie makers like Kubrick, Lucas and Spielberg have used these fundamentals to create the world of SciFi as we know it.

  • Three Laws of Robotics are a set of three rules written by Isaac Asimov. google it and you will know....

  • Hey how come these three laws are exactly the same as those stated in the movie 'iRobot"

  • LOL "hello"

  • I love the robot! He's awesome!

  • Robbin Williams plays a robot well

  • I really like the actor that plays the father in this movie he is the guy from Jurassic Park he and the the robot make interesting co stars.

  • Sam Neill is great, but everytime I see him now, I just see his mutilated face in Event Horizon and it totally freaks me out lol!

  • chickens dont have lips lol gd comeback

  • itsthe"nottoodistantfuture"

    haha

    isaacasimovisbrilliant<3

  • why would they build a robot so damn big,lol

  • destroy the ministry!!! GUN DOWN GRACE! FUCK the ministry!!!!!!! SMASH HIS FACE!!!

  • i would looooove to have an andrew :D

  • I like this movie, along with I, Robot.

THis movie deals more with a robot trying to become human,

nd I, Robot is more about what the Laws can force robots to become...

  • @Darkendmind1 I also like Artificial Intelligence for that same reason of a robot trying to become human.

  • @Darkendmind1 you should watch AI.

  • @Darkendmind1 fun fact for ya, its set in the same universe as irobot (they were both written by isaac asimov so it makes sense)

  • apparently not. maybe he was strong enough to survive the fall?

  • Didn't jumping out the window go against the 3rd law?

  • The 3rd law is the weakest law, and must not contradict law 1 and 2. Law 2 says it must do as human says, even it that means its own destruction.

  • i hate that blonde bitch shes sooo rudeeeeeeee

  • @justinelhillow Maybe she's the decendent of Paris Hilton... either that or Lindsay Lohan. Get it? Cause their bitches?

  • @justinelhillow i hate the whole family...but ill keep the house and da car..

  • the laws of robotics make a lot of scence

human tells robot to kill him/her

    robot says it can't

    human says i order you

    robot says no

and then theres a massive fight in the house where both get destroyed

  • actually the robot would only run from you and your attacks there wouldn't a "fight".

  • Did You See The Ending It Makes one i like this movie it's pure and innocent you can't find this kind of movie anywhere on earth these days now you just see rock and roll or death these days i miss those days...... : (

  • Kyle XY was inspired by this movie i believe.

  • that girl is such a little bitch

  • Yes... "one now knows why some animal mothers eat their young" ...or something like that

  • hmm the laws are the exact same laws from I Robot....

  • That's because both movies were based on works by the sci-fi author Isaac Asimov, the creator of those laws.

  • ah gotcha

  • and they are the actual laws of robotics

  • because they are the laws of robotics and they always hav been the same

  • Thats cause they've taken it from isaac Asimov, the writer of I,Robots short stories that are all based on the 3 laws.

  • Like with vampires ;)

  • 'Sucks? How? Chickens do not have lips.'

    LOL

  • haha hallie's laugh was so cute

  • Thx for posting this...
