The best guitar players in the world, you will probably never hear. It's always been that way, and will probably always be that way. It's a little different now with youtube of course. You don't have to be famous to be seen these days. If you're good, you can get seen. But still, only certain people (good or not) are cut out to be "stars". It's alot of hard work, and not everyone is cut out for it. Talent isn't the only thing that makes a "star".

Joe Satriani is a one dimensional guitarist. He can reproduce (on his guitar obviously) what he is thinking in his brain. But playing good guitar is not only about what's in your brain it's about how well you can blend it with your emotions with plenty of passion. His guitar work is sounds more like someone who has practiced with modern guitars and now can play wide array of notes and that individual is happy about this. I think most of his albums are saturated to some extent.

lol hey i'll be the first to admit that! no, what i meant was, the drummer got the tempo wrong, it happens all the time when songs are played live. instead of punctuating the song, the fast drum tempo obliterates it.
