ok If you in some national Park in ur area/state/country, and they warn u about lions/panthers or whatever animal that lives there. Be careful, do not walk alone, or have something to defend urself[a walking stick or something]. Warn ur children about it "There are lions, and may attack u if u are alone and no one around" Watch out for snakes too. It doesn;t matter where u are, in desert or in the forest. In Desert there are coyotes/wolves x_X.

I Was scared to be alone OO" after knowing Lions are there, only some areas that have bushes, rocks, etc and etc XD Also i saw snake once ;OO scarry~~! Thouh the snake was a baby one, but i was not sure what kind was/ it was under me when i was climbing up the rocks. O__O Had to move away quick. U do not kow if the snake is poisoned or not. Baby snakes, are said, do not know the limit of their poison storage. They can giv u a full poison. O_O Be careful~!

Well If that mom said she heard him scream, but probably she didn't know that that will happen. In my National park, it said "Do not walk alone, always have someone by ur side". Those word are written on only some certain areas the lions/panthers appear. Maybe they had the lion on the unusual area that rarely lions appear? Even thouh the rangers did warn that there are Lions and other animals that may attack. Lions will not attack u if u are with someone with u, but u are not sure

okay in the begginning of thie video the mom said "i heard him scream" well that means her son wasn't in her EYE SIGHT!! which shows me that she didn't care at all until after her son was dragged down the mountian side. people should know when you are around wooded and mountain areas that there are animals there some might cause a threat some might not. BUT it was the animals property the people were trespassing on. i feel sorry for the boy but the parents should have watched closely.

Mountain lions are not endangered. Their numbers are growing at speeds wildlife biologists never could imagine. Presevation efforts have worked. However, there comes a time when humans have to reassert themselves into the food chain as predator. Actually dogs are the best way to track any animal period! Even the best trackers in the world can have a terrible time tracking a lion, they are extremely elusive, cats even cougars have a natural fear of dogs and they will climb trees to get away. Dogs can easily smell them out for miles, this would be impossible to track without the help of a good canine.

Mountain Lions are simply amazing animals. Incredibly strong, graceful, and beautiful. It's unfortunate that we come into their territory and get hurt, but most good things (hikes,MTB'ing,camping) come with some risk.

I'm from NM and what this video isn't showing is that the parents let the kid go ahead of them by at least 20 feet around a corner so they had NO visual of him when he was attacked. I am from Minnesota. I was in search and rescue and trained in an area where there were mountain lions. No way would I have brought my child into that area. I continue to be amazed by folks who are well-doing, but ignorant about their own area where they live and the wildlife and yet blame animals for their own children's attacks by same. Bobcats are about 4 times the size of a housecat, they arent huge, but they arent small I have 3 of them as pets. They are about the size of my Blue Healer. On another note humans being attacked by Bobcats is very rare, while Mountain lions attacking humans is very likely. It was probably a Cougar
