I live in a very small town in upstate NY. We have I'd say 6 or 7 town cops and a BUNCH of staties. every town cop ghost's. The state boys. not so much.
Somthing called ground bounce scatter can accompany radar feeds when a single point EM discarge reflects from hard surfaces at a parallel level from the ground. This causes signal reflex and lag at a slightly lower frequency. This is interpreted as multiple signal on a little device like this.
For military radar tracking this would apear as multiple bogy inbound tracks known as shadow or radar ghosts. Enjoy!
Thanks, That is a very good explanation what is happening here. I agree most of these hits are just reflections off objects which makes the V1 show multiple radars. I have had only one case where this was correct, where two LEO's had their radars on.
tHAT'S THE MODE I'M USING. PERHAPS THE UNIT THAT CLAIMS HE USED RADAR ON ME WAS USING X OR K AS THERE WASN'T A PEEP OUT OF THE V-1. VERY MUCH DOUBT THAT HE WAS USING RADAR BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY WOULD HE LIE TO ME ABOUT THE RADAR USAGE WHEN HE ORALLY TELLS ME HE USED IT AND PUTS IT DOWN ON THE CITATION THAT HE USED IT BECAUSE THAT'S A WAY OUT AND AN OPENING TO CHALLENGE HIM IN COURT.
I didn't like the V1 when I tried it a while back. Had great detection area, really like how it shows where the cops were. But WAY to many false alarms
Ehh, I live in a decently small town that a lot of them use X-Band and I've also detected a handfull of North Carolina State Troopers with X-Band as well. Seeing as how I don't live in the city it's not much worse then K-Band false alarms.
There is only one radar present. Yet the V1 states there are more than one source of radar (Bogey counter). This just shows it is very possible that the V1 can show more than one bogey when one rader is present. This was a common problem on older 3.8?? versions.
my 3.864 still gohsts so I think its a problem thats sitll going to be around if not as much but still there its not too bad considering everyother radar detector doesnt have a counter anyways so fuk oahtr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
doing that will fry your V1 lol

Disable X band and turn it on logic mode, thats how the real ballers roll...

all these v1's on youtube arent in logic mode thats why. logic rules out mostly ALL false alarms

better to be safe than sorry especially if u like to speed
i read it can spot speed traps other detectors cannot
i dont want to be doin 80-100+ alone with no one around and get a ticket in the mail
i also dont want to be paranoid of oh i cant speed because there might be a cop there u know :)

Then you should of turned off X Band and turned on Logic Mode. Almost no cops use x band except for garage openers and shit.

so what does that mean???

New software has reduced this problem.

I would much rather have ghosting than not picking it up at all, just my opinion.
