senator obama voted in favor of the energy policy act of 2005 wish give tax reductions to several energy industries between those $4.3 billion for nuclear power $2.8 billion for fossil fuel production....wait a minute wasnt he against it? isnt that mccain energy plan?...obama = flip flopper.
Gas Price: 1. High demand = high gas price 2. Low supply = high gas price 3. High supply = low gas price 4. Less demand = low gas price Obama supports number 4 of the above McCain supports number 3 of the above Problem is:Obama's plan takes 10 years McCains's plan takes 10 years too (drilling) There's no immediate relief unless there's less demand in the world oil market. But Obama's plan sounds better IN THE LONG RUN, green energy, that's the future, less carbon emission.
Look, we don't necessarily need to switch of oil completely in the next 10 years. This is where Obama is wrong, a complete switch would take... 10.. 20 years. We've found(recently) oil sands in the Rockies and oil in Anwar that in a few years, will have an impact on us. We need nuclear energy for home and business use and more oil efficient means of travel. FACT about this speech, we only get 20% of our oil from the Middle-East.. and the other 80% from Mexico and Canada so... where his facts at?
Gas prices have dropped in the past month almost entirely because of a sudden drop in demand, which makes it dead clear that the first way to give the average American relief is to begin a concerted national effort to reduce consumption. The economy is in terrible shape and cannot wait 10 years.
That's exactly right, less demand = low price. If we keep on burning oil economy will be in un-recognizable shape in 10 years, 30 or 40% has to come from alternative. I was driving 5 days a week to work now I drive 3 days saving 35%, people need to change thier habbit, drive if it is really necessary otherwise just walk or bike or use public transportation. we need curriculum at school on energy to educate people to use energy wisely. It's not a political issue, rather moral issue.
clearly you dont understand economics, sure prices will go down with less demand but remember in micro economics that they shift the production down to keep the price up. understanding this is the key, not obama, you'll find yourself fucked later following him.
Every single post you enter begins with 'LIBERLISM IS A DISEASE' and you have the audacity to complain about 'name calling'? Amazing. And the point of the Galbraith quote was.......HIS POINT, which rips the veil away quite nicely.
Osame? Obama voted on party lines: 97% of the time in 2005, 96% in 2006 and 97% in 2007. Obama voted WITH Bush: 50% in 2006 40% in 2007 Obama voted FOR the 2005 Bush Cheney energy bill. "Obama Voted For Bush/Cheney Energy Bill, Written In Secret By Industry Lobbyists" - New York Times
The math here is more than a little suspect; if Obama voted party line 96 percent in 2006 and 'with' Bush 50 percent in 2006 then it follows that the Democrats voted 'with' Bush very nearly 50 percent of the time in that same year and I am here to tell ya I find that unlikely. [ And your position is....Obama is...a closet Republican with the most liberal voting record?}
What is dubious is your position. The right wing routinely portrays Obama as the most liberal Senator in office, a socialist scourge who will sell white folks into slavery. You seem here, Mr. Liberalism is a Disease, to support this assertion while simulataneously asserting he is Bush-Lite. [Moreover, you assert that all liberal Democrats are closeted conservatives]. Please explain.
That you identify yourself as 'LiberalismIs A Disease' certainly leads me to believe you are very likely a conservative [ I recognize the phrase as connected to hyper-cretin radio hate jock Savage]. 'The modern conservative is engaged in one of mankinds oldest exercises in moral philosophy, that is, the search for a moral justification for selfishness.' John Kenneth Galbraith
Is the desire for small government somehow selfish? This is a stretch at best. Since you provide nothing but name calling I don't have much of a rebuttal.

Molloyx, nearly everything out of his mouth is socialist. He wants to tax the rich more and provide everyone with free healthcare and college money... socialism much? Liberals NEARLY took away our guns this year when the Supreme Court voted 5-4 against cities being able to ban guns. All 4 liberals voted for the ban and 5 conservatives voted against.. liberals are trying to strip our freedoms away.Obama cares what the world thinks about us,I say FUCK the world. If they don't like us,cry me a river
I understand that some people are upset with Barack and that the MSM and the republicans are having a field day with the flip flops. But if you actually sit down and listen to this man relay his idea's, there is no doubt he should be president. Yes he's inexperienced and yes people want a steadying influence in shaky times, but this guy is so far ahead of McCain and any other politician I've heard in years that it would be a disservice to the global community not to elect him. Obama 08
hell yea, i completely agree and we need millions of americans to agree as well. Barack Obama is one of the best presidential candidates we have seen in years. This guy is trying everything he can to change this country and put it back on track. McCain would end up sending America back in time.

This is correct. If you were a little more aware of politics you
might realize that Democrats and Republicans agree quite often,
otherwise nothing would ever pass. In the future please use the
internet to check facts before you rant.
These facts are from Congressional Quarterly June 9 and 12 2008.

1 I'm not a Republican
2 I never said Obama was the most liberal
3 no man can make me a slave,
thanks to the 2nd amendment
4 YOU seem to imply he's Bush like
The point is he claims to be for change. Where is the change? He's just another dirty politician.
