How to make a logo in Inkscape - Free software

Are you by chance using the Dvorak keyboard layout? I noticed the n/s typo when you typed technology.

@icomey I was not using that layout but I've heard of it before.  Idk why but my finger must have just slipped or something... I made it a long time ago lol.

I just don't have the free time to make it for someone for free in college right now, and I don't even know you at all... but I'm glad you viewed my tutorial, so thanks for that! ;)

@hawkssoccer03 Well it depends on the client, but some people charge per hour yet some charge per logo. It really depends on the experience as a logo designer too and the size of the client, etc. Anywhere from $50 up to $500 or so is a good estimate for an average logo... it honestly depends though.

One question: After downloading the font type to your computer from FontSquirrel, how did you load it into Inkscape (so you can use the commercial free font)??

@acap2224 Thanks, I'm glad you liked the tutorial. To install the font, you will need to find the location of the font you downloaded and export it from the .zip folder. Then you need to either right click on the font and press the install option, or double click on the font and there should be a font preview box of the font where you can press install as well. @gamerworld14: I apologize gamer because I'm incompetent and I'm not following your steps. You mention to "export it from the .zip folder", but I can't find that option. When I right click on the font folder in my documents, I can only copy it.

Then you explain I need to either right click on the font and press the install option or double click on the font. I presume I'm in the Inkscape program at that point?

I appreciate another step by step help

@acap2224 That's ok. Just search "how to download and install a font windows 7" on google and the third result should be from the sevenforums . com and from there I think you should be able to figure it out. ;)
