Judging by the rollers laid out with a demonstration of gameplay, computer-controlled opponents so far not very smart. Jedi attacking the character does not even try to apply at least some of the tons of skills and tactics. Just stupid waving their swords. And the rest of the attackers not very best. Best time was a 3hr keep battle as a defender, dumb order. Also played Star Trek Online, since open beta. Cryptic dropped the ball on that, and only hard core trek fans, seem to be left. Perpetual, had better visual design ideas. Bioware have a reputation for making great RPG titles, hopefully this MMO does just as well.
i played star wars galaxys on day one till they ruined it...it was a fun game. i earned jedi the hard way and was one of the first to run around as a jedi. i did a month trial with my old account not to long ago. logged on my old wookie jedi. poorly geared. i got called a noob..then i turned into blue floaty (only old school could do that) and told him to stfu.
the physics of char movement need to be more realistic, a person jumping longer distances will need to look like the momentum of the jump is occuring and not just a straight/immediate recovery into standing position like how the sith did after breaching the engineering door @ 1:27.
omg thats awsome how he just picked up his light sabre and equiped it. I wonder if you need some specially skill for it or you can just be like "oh cool dual wield"
Since this isn't even out yet and what they have showed looks like it was rushed, I'm sure you can expect better graphics and gameplay. They have about as much story and lore to add as wow does, the only issue I see coming from this game is trying to balance the battles with action bars... light sabers are more fast paced and seem suited for controllers, making it an mmo is challenging. when are mmorpg creators gonna realize that global cooldowns are just stupid.. give each move its own cool down, then have the moves traverse into each other. create combo's with them. it would be much better, and its not too complex, or hard to do. this is just another wow, with a different face.. same shitty combat system, still gear/level oriented. when will a game come out where Skill>gear/level?

Gotta say I'm a tad underwhelmed. Looks faceroll and I'm not really seeing it work as an MMO either - one of the Ms doesn't belong there. It certainly looks either massive or multiplayer, but not massively multiplayer.

It's probably just because they are showing you a bit of gameplay footage. I don't know if you watched the Fallout 3 videos or even played Fallout 3, but before it came out they showed videos of the gameplay and it looked very easy as well, but if you played, you know it wasn't always as easy as it looked.

i admit it looks pretty nice. I just hope the landscape is open... MMORPG's need a few things in order to have staying power. Fluid graphics and animation. No floating like this has shown so far, they needs personal space, like housing - apartments - customization - they needs personal transportation IE mounts and or vehicles, persistent world - and player economy with tremendous amounts of items and player made idems and crafted weapons. Will this have those? i dont know.

@groberti Exacly! I play wow like in 3month periods. After that I stop and have about 2-3 month break playing other games. I just got bored to it time after time. Basicly, it's allways gonna be the same (lvling, raiding, gearing, walk around as if showing off). I'll hope it won't be the same with this one...

It's probably just because they are showing you a bit of gameplay footage. I don't know if you watched the Fallout 3 videos or even played Fallout 3, but before it came out they showed videos of the gameplay and it looked very easy as well, but if you played, you know it wasn't always as easy as it looked.

I have a question, why does it seem that the chars take like 0 damage unless the warrior and the hunter can heal, the EPIC battles dont seem that epic when u cant die

I won't take your comment seriously due to you spelling of "graphics". At this point in the game it isn't finished yet, the graphics will most likely be much better by the time it comes out, and even if they weren't, that will definitely not be a deciding factor in whether or not this game is any good.

The combat system in the game definately does not appeal to me. Looks like pvp willl just be spam buttons hit target like Aion, WoW, and other MMO's are like.

i admit it looks pretty nice. I just hope the landscape is open... MMORPG's need a few things in order to have staying power. Fluid graphics and animation. No floating like this has shown so far, they needs personal space, like housing - apartments - customization - they needs personal transportation IE mounts and or vehicles, persistent world - and player economy with tremendous amounts of items and player made idems and crafted weapons. Will this have those? i dont know.
