It's a tried and true fact that taller people are more respected, more successful and have better sexual partners and mates as their height gives them that aesthetic advantage. I'm 5'3" male and i'm 21. personally i have low self esteem because i am so short and i wont even approach ladies taller than me. its not about parenting, its how the world works. everyone wants the bigger and better. im a great guy and very fun and caring, but most chicks wont date men their size or smaller. if i was rich i would do this to my kid so they wouldnt feel the way i did.

I felt that i should include "little people" so as to give people an example. From the information I've seen about height averages,5'10 for males in America,5'3 for females in America. This child was on GHT for a projected adult height of 5'5"?? That doesn't sound like a legitimate reason for therapy, that sounds like genetics. My son had no detectable IGF-1 in his system and has a projected adult height is 4'10". We will be starting GHT this winter, not JUST to make him taller, but to hopefully prevent other issues that can be caused by lack of GH. Being small in and of itself is not a bad thing. Little people make it through the world just fine, with a few adaptations.

whatever doctors don't put kids on hgh unless they are deficent in the hormone. I was on it and wish I decided to stay on it longer to grow taller. Dumb move but it was still fairly new back in the 70's and 80's. I'm 36 now and just was diagnosed with adult onset growth hormone deficincy. I've been off hgh from the age 14 so it has been a long time and didn't know that my sickness was all because of low hgh till now.
