Absolutely. The fact that my comment has been minused twice kinda shows people don't really listen to Damien tell the stories behind his own songs before he plays them. This song is, to him, (or so he tells us) a satire of over-emotional, self-indulgent singer-songwriters or bands. I think that's what it's about because I see precisely where he's coming from.

Of course, it's open to interpretation. I just like his own interpretation better. I think it fits perfectly.
