I've played the PS version, (on the Anniversary Collection) and I'm going to disagree with you. I've also compared tunes from both versions thanks to The Mega Man Network's music archive.
The PS version still has better samples and overall quality.
@OmegaManZX Ha ha ha what a joke you played the PS anniversary version...that one is plagued with issues...go play Sega Saturn in 1997 then talk to me. Better animation, loading and more bosses. Saturn kicked ass.
Actually, I played the Anniversary version on the GAMECUBE. There seemed to be no issues what so ever on my copy. As for more bosses? I could care less. Cut Man and Wood Man should have stayed dead. I'm more interested in the music and sound quality. And don't even mention Tengu Man's stage, I like the PS version's better. And technically, the animation is the same.
As for loading screens? The loading seemed pretty fast to me. Maybe they fixed that issue on the Anniversary collection.
Love this Game SO FUCKING MUCH!

"Metal Heroes"... the Japanese subtitle for RM8 was pretty straightfoward. As if the heroes up until that game WEREN'T made of metal... :\

It's only because it has Cut Man and Wood Man as bosses. The PS version, on the other hand, has much better sound chip and music quality.

Megaman X6 which wasnt even expected to be a success and all, because of the rushed production, had both Opening and Endings in japanese...

Yeah this song rules. It's always so gay when you get to play the US version and the song is not included......

It does cost money, and a lot of it, to license even one Japanese song to be played in the U.S. version of any game or anime.
