Comedians gotta grind too. This is real! In anything you do in life, in any profession, to obtain real success, you must never ever give up. Fight to win. Don't fight to lose!
I Felt the aspiring comedian(Ben) pain through his expression that got cut that night.. That was disappointing. Trailer looks Good.. cant wait to see the full documentary!!
I'd subscribe to you again just for this documentary. You are inspiring comics just by doing what you're doing with this doc, JP. I'm not a "funny-person" (just funny-lookin' lol) but you're still an inspiring person. Thanks for this video.
Then you honestly don't understand comedy. If you chose Monique over Richard, then you are the real joke. Comedy is a artform and Richard Pryor broke the mold so that Monique could do what she does.
You are the reason why I am doing this documentary.
I do not care I am basing it on who made me laugh the most haha. I know of course he opened doors but hes opened them for a reason (to let others in and sit it on down) R.I.P. But you cant take away that shes funny lmaooooo
You probably weren't born in the generation that respects Richard's comedy, LBloggie. I on the other hand, remember being forbidden to watch, listen to or even hear a joke re told through people who love Richard Pryor's humor. Curiosity stole my heart and Richard Ran away with it with the first joke I ever heard on the "That N&gger's Crazy" Album.
The first guy seemed a bit biased on his statements. Unless this video only pertains to black comedians, you can't leave out George Carlin when you're talking about Richard Pryor. I haven't finished watching it yet, but I just have to say George and Richard revolutionized comedy together, with one or the other, we'd still be about 20 years behind.
I totally agree, but this is talking about BLACK COMEDY. To add to your statement YES 100% Richard and George was needed I just said that TODAY to someone.
Haha, alright. I just didnt know it was only for black comedy. Had I known that I probably wouldnt have commented, but I am glad to hear that you agree with me. Richard and George are by far, my two favorite comedians.
As long as we're on the subject, what do you think of Kat Williams? He is quickly rising up my list of favorite comedians. He's short, and got a funny voice, but he makes it work for him.
Ahhhhhh, it's in the documentary. I really thank you for being into it. I love the fact that my heart felt project is loved. I am going to have a small screening in August.
You can't have an opinion (and comedy is your opinion / your point of view) without stepping on toes. It's very political, but you have to find your audience and during this process make people laugh.
wow I liked what you've done with this. On the street documentary journalistic style is cool.
With any entertainment or performing art the trials are very similar to make it. Actors, models, dancers, comedians and singers have to go through a lot. It's about who you now as far as business networking and connections and also publicity..image and etc. It's TOUGH.

if you can be funny without offending
then you can probably make a dollar!

where you should never piss off your voters!
just my 2 cents worth

Look at Friday's "Day-Day" :) Mike Epps. He's funny but he uses a lot of MFs. so crazy..
