  • This and Tsuki no Ie were really pretty, but the song that really turned me into a fan of Akino Arai's was Kirei na Kanjou. Been buying her cds ever since. ^_^

  • i remeber when outlaw star was the last show to come on toonami fro the dday and after this would almost make you cry like cartoon carttons would begain and youd be happy once again

  • @bigtoken90 Man, I want to go back to the time when all I needed to be happy was awesome cartoons, and homework being my only worry. Growing up fucking sucks.

  • This song is so majestic. Woahh.. nostalgia overload! Toonami is what got me into anime! It was the only thing I looked forward to after school as a kid. Outlaw Star was definitely one of my favorites!!

  • aw the memories of when i would sneak out of bed, like a flippin ninja, just to watch this anime. totally worth it. loved this series!!! XD

  • The ending theme images have alot to do with the show.... They are the girls that served as the past incarnations (aka the key) to the galactic leyline

  • @rwdplz1 if you watched the series you know that every episode they were fixing up the Outlaw Star. That's the connection to the welding and the song being stuck in your head.

  • Such a beautiful song. I cant help but tear up for some reason.

  • You know what would have been awesome, if Toonami had put One Piece on when it first broadcasted in Japan with Funimation doing the dubbing, it would have been so awesome and it would maybe have a bigger fanbase!!!

  • Oh my god... I had forgotten all about this song.

It's all flooding back in a tidal wave of nostalgia.

I've let go of most of my childhood, but this... this really makes me hurt for the good old days of Toonami in its prime.

  • The only one to thumbs down this was Akino's raivaru!

  • I was out in the garage welding on my car and for some reason this song got stuck in my head. No idea why.

  • I tracked down one of the endings I remember back from Toonami. I think the other one I'm looking for was in one of the Tenchi series. There's a petition to bring back Toonami, people should totally sign it. Toonami was amazing. Although the anime selection these days is not as good, at least anime that Toonami would show to kids. Adult Swim should pick up some new ones.

  • @Elytius Toonami, as we remembwer it, will never come back. CN has taken a new direction in what programming to show. All that we have left is groups like Toonami Aftermath and Neotoonami.

  • Nostalgia. Manly tears.

  • I remember waking up to this song during the middle of the night when I was younger xD Never really watched the anime until later on.

  • i love this song so much, and the drawings..akino arai has a voice of an angel💘👍👼

I miss the outlaw star years..

  • I always enjoyed this ending theme. Just so relaxing, especially for now with how twisted the world has become from corruption.

  • I remember i used to watch this on Toonami. I forgot the name of it years later but i always remembered the ending to it and i was always trying to remember it. I was looking up a few old animes and then i finally found it! :) probably gonna watch this show over again later with my friend. So glad i found it thank you Toonami and youtube. c:

  • man I wish could draw and paint like that

  • One of the few anime that got me hooked into anime. Thank you Toonami.

  • What the hell do these visuals have to do with Outlaw Star???? Ive been wondering this since the toonami days, please answer

  • @TrenTonStackZ it's an emotional thing rather than a literal reference to the plot. It doesn't have to be directly related to outlaw star at all in regards to what it shows

  • This reminds me of the good old days when I would come home and watch this on toonami

  • My mom loves this music! This is her favorite ending theme to any anime we've ever watched, and has been since I was like 8. Even when I'm 60 I'll remember this melody, and how me &&my mom would watch this series on Toonami. lol, I'll be telling my kids' kids about our anime times. Damn, where did time go?

  • @Look2Good2Binnocent

That's awesome, dude. I wished I could have enjoyed the anime with somebody else when I first saw this and a few others on Toonami. But with a PARENT?! To cool.

  • i cry to this song. I'm 16 now, not a virgin, with the girL i Lost it to, she's fiLipino, eastern asian. what i aLways wanted. i Love her so much. we've been together a year in 14 days (17th October 2010)

This song takes me back to when i was Like 8, probabLy younger, i can't remember.. but hearing this makes me equalLy as happy..

  • I first heard this song at the age of 16 and I never knew th etitle..thank god for YouTube because I finally found this song

  • I've read comments around here, & understand precisely what you all felt as a child. Was awesome on Toonami. It really was. It brings back so many good memories.. the innocence...

When listening to this song, it kind of sounds like a lullaby of your childhood. There's like this shiver that comes down your spine... and it's nostalgic but amazing.

There used to be so much respect for Asian culture! It was because of Bruce Lee. Nowadays... American culture does not respect Asian culture anymore.

  • I remember coming home from school and wanting to watch dragon ball z at the time but never could catch this show but always got to the see the ending and it was amazing i remember loving it and brings back memories of the golden years of my life

  • Wow, this brings me back and makes me want to shred tears of joy. This was my childhood and it makes me reflect and it feels good to listen and remember watching this show off of Toonami, and I can't help but be happy listening to this. I think everyone can relate this song to their own childhood.

  • This really is one of the most beautiful songs in anime.

  • This ending is such a huge part of my childhood! long live Toonami !!!

  • This song is so much so it sings me to sleep.

  • Having seen endings like this as a child was such an enigma, truly something else. Warm memories.

  • 13 years.... So nostalgic.

  • ahhhh this brings back memories....the 90's rocked!!!!

  • Outlaw Star is definitely in my top 5 anime of all time.

this song is so depressingly beautiful, in a good way. haha

    thanks for posting!

  • i never understood the meaning of this theme. it has nothing to do with the show

  • @TheMasterSword16 it's the song melfina used to sing to herself, but it depends on which version your watching, I like both the japanese and english version of it.

  • @JuanJohn86 then i just don't understand the images during the song. is that supposed to be her too?

  • @TheMasterSword16 you know, I'm not sure, I'm assuming it could be, but I might be wrong. I think it may actually be someone important to one of the staff or crew of the series.. sometimes they hide "easter eggs" in their dvd's or shows. I know funimation has done it in the past though..

  • @TheMasterSword16 yea i know it gave melfina this personality that she didnt really show in the show

  • I miss those old toonami days, they were friggin' awesome.

  • @JuanJohn86 me too man cowboy bebop, dbz, outlaw star, trigun. doesnt get any better than that.

  • @ReaperWEare yeah, 2000 - 2005 was the best when it came to toonami and adultswim in my opinion. Hey! Even wrestling was good back then.. Did you ever get to watch Anime Unleashed on TechTv/G4??

  • @JuanJohn86 I did but i cant get G4 anymore. Do you have Netflix they have all the good shows from back in the day.

  • Y don't they still have this show

  • I remembered staying up for toonami midnight run for this back when I was in the 8th grade. :(...lol

  • Outlaw Star is set in 2099-2101 A.D., and "Blue Heaven" is between Pluto and "Planet X"

  • This song and the wrap up of the anime was haunting and forever stuck in my mind.

  • I hate getting old.

  • oh my god..i watched these videos of the endings, not thinking that i've heard either one but now it's all flooding back to my brain, along with my memories of watching this. i love them both & thank you for uploading, i feel like i rediscovered something great

  • fuck yes! I've been suching for this song for years! i couldn't remember the name of the anime it came from!

  • This entire anime was amazing. And this song is still stuck in my head to this day.

  • I'm with you, this is probably the first anime type song I ever downloaded to one of the first anime's I ever saw (and I was totally in love with Gene. lol) I just love the artwork that goes with it too. <3<3<3

  • i feel like crying because it brings back so many memories

  • Wow. I just remembered how, when I watched Outlaw Star for the first time with my sister, this ending absolutely haunted me.

    So, so beautiful

  • beautiful song

  • as many others have said, this song used to give me chills when i was staying up late watching toonami as a child. And it still does. I don't understand a word in this song. But it conjures such deep, unexplained emotions within me. Best i could describe it is that makes me feel helplessly sad and endlessly at peace at the same. I've always loved this song and the feelings it incites. And now it carries more nostalgia with it than almost anything. Beauty doesn't begin to describe this song

  • i love this song, it always had a hint of sadness in it to me, made me tear up when i was younger

  • Man...the drawings are just awesome.

  • WE NEED TOONAMI BACK GODDAMMIT!!!!

  • I MISS TOONAMI DAMN CN

  • This is in my top favorite animes, so thank you so much for putting this vid up:D

  • Hadn't heard this since I was little. *sniff* still makes me feel sad.

  • I love this song! And outlawstar!!!!!!!!

  • you know, this song always felt like a way to slow down in the anime because it was always moving in a fast pace. So you didn't expect them to have a soft ending theme such as this.

  • Reminds me of the days when I was young. . . and the world was new, endless, and beautiful. . . I've matured quite a bit since then, but this song takes me back.

  • @AlesandrosX your comment felt like a poem. In the unknown is beauty I guess.

  • i hated my child hood but id do it all over again just for more toonami *sigh*

  • @ruzzzler You and me both mate.

  • Pickup Arai's CD RGB. It has this song as well as the other ending she sings.

  • @HachiZenki

Where would one attain such a treasure?

  • @muertefacil90 Bought mine from Amazon.com. Really pricy tho. It seems all Japanese CD's are real expensive compared to the average price for US CD's.

  • @HachiZenki

it's called RGB? i look for it. are the other songs sweet like this one and tsuki no ie?

  • @muertefacil90 Yeap. RGB.

  • @muertefacil90

You can download it easily enough if you look for it.

  • this song used to scare the crap outta me as a kid

  • Beautiful...just breath in and drift away along with the nostalgia

  • Outlaw Star is just one of those legendary anime's that should have, could have gone on but it ended gloriously. Just like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop ended properly left me closure.

  • @Virck Your a space alien from Pluto my good man

  • @SuperGoldfish1999 Miswell be, I'm in the Marine Corps and I shun social interaction except when the situation of close proximity to human beings arrives.

  • @Virck Dude your seriously a Marine? I Love R. Lee Ermey (teh bestest Marine), he's so Fucking Badass in Full Metal Jacket and "MAIL CALL" on the History Channel =D

  • This is the State Song of Rhode Island

  • I now sing this song as a lullaby to my baby boy. And he loves it. Lol

  • @Wolffy5683 Awww that's so precious! x3

  • Really influenced my music abilites.

  • Cool drawings and a cool song.

  • im watching it right now, i love that show and this song is the iceing on the cake, thank you for uploading it.

  • very mystic feel with this drawings, it feels just like viewing hindu mythology artwork

  • I don't know why do I cry

    When I hear this song

I guess nostalgia has a way

    to talk to me...

  • omg i miss being a kid this bring bac so many memories i could cry :(

  • When i fist heard this song...i cried for some reason ...

  • OH GOD I MISS THIS SONG AND ANIME

  • Wow...

    Nostalgia.

  • The ending song always creeped the shit out of me when I was younger.

    DAT FACE.

  • @Fortist me too for sum strang reason

  • ugh, omg,.... nostalgic times...

  • first time i heard this song i was kinda taken back, fantastic classic anime music timeless

  • the artwork in the ending is serious..i can't imagine how long each one took to draw

  • Chateau Romani! Majora's Mask FTW!

  • I havent heard this song since I was a little kid. Always got me into deep wonder and thought, made me want to write and tell stories. Still to this day sends a chill down my spine and makes me stop and wonder.

  • hey guys, we're gettin old huh? lol

  • @LastRqss ugh I hear you lol man those were good times though! Shows like this were sometimes the only reason worth living back then haha

  • I still think this is the BEST anime ending ever!! If I ever get to heaven, this will song most likely be playing there!

  • i always wanted to believe the drawings had something to do with plot of outlaw star.

  • i used to dance to this when i was younger

  • sooooo many childhood memories of me pretending to be Gene in my backyard... lol

  • Man, I can not believe it's been almost ten years since this series originally debut on Cartoon Network's Toonami. I am old! I always, ALWAYs wanted to learn this song on the violin for the last ten years and now thanks to you, I can learn it by ear! Thanks for the upload and making me reflect on childhood memories!

  • I remeber going to sleep listening to this watching late night toonami I belive in the late 90's like 1999 OMG this got me into anime. Toonami was amazing. This song is amazing

  • Outlaw Star & Cowboy Bebop are the only 2 anime series I've watched all the way through, first episode to the last. I try to sit through the others but they get boring, alot of ridiculous and unoriginal themes that get repetitive. I'm not a huge anime fan, but those 2 series are almost flawless and ahead of their time. good upload.

  • How can you say they are flawless if you haven't even watched other anime all the way through. That's like saying chocolate ice cream is the best ice cream ever and you haven't even tried the other 100+ flavors.

  • 1) I said ALMOST flawless.

    2) I've watched a lot of anime movies and enjoyed some and some I couldn't stand. I've also watched a lot of anime series, but most of them are either too kiddy or the story line has a lot of fillers (i.e. Bleach, DBZ, Inuyasha etc.).

    3) I forgot to mention Afro Samurai, Samurai Shamploo Evangelion and Trigun. Those I've watched and enjoyed as well. I just liked OLS and CB the best.

  • Is your account named after that special milk in zelda that give u maxed out mugic that does not run out??

  • Yep that's the one :P

  • cool!!!

that stuff was expensive!!! what 60 rupees!!

  • @LunicInformer nope 200

but buy it the first night and free magic for the rest of the days.

  • this was my child hood before adult swim i remember this on cartoon network on the late late night

  • I have the whole series on my computer

    this show was the best

I;m sad toonami had to go

  • Awesome. My brother and I found DVDs.

  • this makes me happy Agigatoo gozaimas

  • fugg its too beutiful

  • i love this! thak you for the upload!

  • No problem! I'm glad you enjoy it! ^.^

  • love it

  • I remember getting the outlaw star soundtrack on ebay just for this song lol

something about this song that ties the whole series together.

  • When I was young, every time I saw this ending theme it sent chills down my spine and I just wanted to draw like crazy. This ending theme was so inspiring to me. Great ending theme to a great show.

  • That's awesome! I think it's great that you can find inspiration in this ending theme ^^

  • @ColorMeVicious same with me

  • the song is good, but so are the art they put in the credits. That's some awesome shit.

  • I loved this outro, I recorded every episode on VHS and used to play this theme over and over again. Thank you so much for the post brother. You cannot know what this means to me.

  • Your welcome! I'm glad you enjoy the video so much.

  • aaahhhh... sounds of my childhood, oh how i miss it...

  • I know, the nostalgia is awesome ^-^
