  • Hi,

    i have a Philips SBC MD150 microphone

Can i use that on my laptop?

  • dude you suck

  • uhmm Can I use the philips mic on my laptop?

  • @officialirishdiane if your laptop has an audio jack input, yes. Mostly likely it will be a mini-jack therefore, you'll need a mini-jack adaptor like the picture shown in the video, also, you'll need an audio or sound recording software on your laptop. Good luck and thanks for watching.

  • i liked the power book one because it had no bass in the audio recorded xD

  • everytime i try to record with my philips mic i only get sound on the left side...

  • That seemed to be my problem too.

  • how did you solve that problem?

  • Sorry I didn't solve it and I must have threw it out because I no longer have the mic.

  • If you know how to use Adobe Premiere Pro then you can import your a mono file and change it into a stereo file, then copy the left side recording to the right side and you'll have a mono file but with sound on both sides

  • I did have an old Sound Design software where I can do that, but now I'm with the new Mac OS X Lepoard.

  • i'll juss get a new mic..lol

  • Can i use tune talk with ipod classic (80gb)?

  • I don't know, but I Googled it and on Apple discussion forum, someone stated that it will work with the latest iTunes and firmware updates but with some tiny problem while recording.

  • In my opinion, this is the order of sound quality in greatest to least.

    1. Tune Talk

    2. Phillips Mic

    3. Powerbook

    4. Supersonic Ear

    5. Canon ZR85

  • Belkin TuneTalk Stereo <- wait do i have to buy a microphone to use this or can i just use it by itself on the ipod? its for taping concerts....

  • lillverson09: No need for an external mic but however the sound quality might not be there. The TuneTalk Stereo does have the external port if you need to utilize it. I suggest for you to play around with it, and BTW you'll still need a set of head phone to hear what you have recorded.

  • Hey i bought a philliphs microphone and it much louder than that

  • I'm glad that it turned out great for you, and it seemed to be working just fine in your videos. If I hadn't lost it, I may do some more test with it then. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • The Super Ear an pick up sounds through a wall?

  • msa1985: I don't know. I haven't test it as such.

  • Which would I use if I am working on an essay and I want to record my own thoughts before I start writing. It needs to be small and portable. Or any other ideas? I have no idea what is available these days. I used to have a portable cassette recorder for the same purpose.

  • If you have a 5th generation iPod up to the current ones with the exception of the Shuffle, in my test, Belkin Tune Talk works fine but for audio output, you'll need a headphone or portable speaker. However there are other mp3 players that can record and playback without additional accessories. There are mini-digital recorders that can be utilitize on the spot and then later transfer the file to your computer. Best place to look for is at Staples and BestBuy and some office supplies store.

  • thanks, dear :) I'll check that out.

  • robot talking....wat the hells the point of this video...ur a fag

  • thanks for the info

    very helpful

  • You're welcome.

  • some body needs a hug :S

  • LOL

  • your philips mic. is only a mono! try to look the edge of the mic's wire! its only single black line! convert it to stereo plug! it helps! for both left & right channel

  • Thanks for the tip, fighterup.

  • only thing i hate about labtops is that they keep singing you off msn but on the other hand there good :D i got windows vista acer computer

  • That's interesting.

  • Thanks Mangolite

    That comparison was very helpful!

    I use that same camera.

  • I like the Sonic Super Ear, but it was meant as a novelty for the hearing impair (eavesdropping/rare bird singing from afar). The on/off dial is also it's volume/gain frequency and really a trail and error if use for recording (when there is no sound thorough-put from the recording devices), that is why the sound comes blasting out in the video.

  • This test was done in realtime meaning no adjustment made to the hi/lo volumes of each device. What you hear is what you get. I'm thinking about investing in a RODE VideoMic & HDD video camcorder w/audio input port. As a blue collar worker, this will take time.

  • Oh well, once you're a big famous

Video Producer you won't have to

    worry about the price anymore...

  • for he rode video mic see my test videos walkking through woodland on a windy day rode video mic did not fare to well, then a home made mic in a 30 knot wind.
