Ley-guardian Eregos - Emerald drake solo kite

i did this today with a ruby drake soloed it heroic enh shammy

This is no longer possible. After a while the whelps gain infinite range and destroy you. You can kill the whelps, but he summons more and more and eventually, you can't keep up because it takes a full stack of poison to kill one whelp before it expires. This wouldn't be so bad if you could use the nuke, but the self-damage scales much faster than the damage dealt to Eregos, to the point where you do over 200,000 damage to your 225k ride.

You can still kill him with the red drake though.

the achievement he gets after the kill is for a normal Oculus run... not Heroic guys

I got 8 achievements in that solo run both for normal and heroic since it was the only one i needed to clear all heroics. (You get the normal achievement if you clear the heroic). However, the UI shows only 2 of them at the end. You can check the dates at my armory page. char Melemin, server Silvermoon EU.

how did u get to the portal to get a drake?? i enter the stance, i tried to reach the portal, but mobs nuked me. once i reached the portal buy couldnt get through, proll cuz i was in combat. how to get to the portal??

As drthvdr2 said, i was in a group which cleared the instance but couldn't kill Eregos. After several tries and since everyone else left, i decided to try the kitting method. And yes, its on heroic.

Btw, Blizzard fixed this by giving the whelps unlimited spell range. So don't try it anymore.
