nice! I did somthin similar to a pellet gun and I loved the way it looked. For some reason I got bored of it and painted it all black again... Big mistake.
you reckon its at all possible to achieve something like this with krylon? then spray varnishing it? i know it wont be as neat but still. Like use drybrushing for fine detail bits?
@i0mikey0i dont use "krylon", use "rust-o-leum" 2x coverage!, make sure you also use the "satin" colors as well, i do custom paint jobs on guns, and they come out perfect, just as long as you use a "matte" clear coat finish when done!
@TheReman5000 and just cut out stencils into painters tape, that will give you the "clean" look!
ps...tape waxpaper to clipboard, then lay down painters tape, and put your design over tape and cut out with an exacto knife, you will then have painters tape stickers to put on your gun for design! good luck
awesome im going to try this with my sks or ak 47 thanks for showing me how you did it hope i dont fuck it up and it looks as nice as yours did ill definitly practice on my sons toy guns haha he will either have some fucked up looking guns or some bad ass ones
beautiful work...I have been looking at other people's work as I am going to start doing this service too. You do good work! Nice video you have done.
Cool. I got several sizes of web mesh stuff at Super Walmart in the laundry section. The really large shoe dryer net are big enough for reptile/dinosaur skin and smaller stuff to mimic fish. Thanks man. Cool video.

@geronimo767 Did you ever think that the uploader likes that type of music. And maybe your negative opinion should be kept to yourself.

First of all very nice video
It has inspired me to do this to my Benjamin Trail NP Xl
But I have a few questions
Iv put on the black coat (but only on one side)
Should I coat the whole gun then start with the diamonds?
And do I finish one whole side of the gun stock then repeat to the other?
Also how do you darken the diamonds?
Do I use the same colors and just add more paint or do add another color to darken?
Is the color I use for the diamonds the same color for shading?
Sorry I know

Thanks for letting me know u did rly good on the gun, and i would like to do it, how did you get that brownish red color?
longshaft69 8 months ago
@longshaft69 It is a product called Auto Air. You can buy it in lots of different colors and in small quantities. It is water based automotive paint.

Cut the end off of the clothes pins, make it flat to get a close, tight fit when stretching the netting.
