  • But that is so big problem The big problem is because when they making scene "Aragon vs Sauron" is so many problems of lights ..blabla..don speak english..that problem its so light when wil you wathc film there wil be so light in that scene..Sry for bad english..

  • In the films, Legolas wears blue contact lenses, but in some scenes he does not have them in.

  • Thanks :)

  • PLEASE What is song ?

  • @Letsfailmovie Protectors of the Earth, by Two Steps From Hell

  • @Letsfailmovie who was song?

  • wait wouldnt sauron have needed the ring to turn into his old form?

  • @admiralflynn895 no thats a movie thing only; in the books you get periodic descriptions of sauron-for example when you hear that he tortured gollum we find that the finger of one of his hands is missing.

  • @bairdrew ooooohhhhhhh ok another thing they didnt do according to the book LoL, but it wuld have been awesome to see aragorn with the narsil sword fight sauron without the ring

  • Comment removed

  • fake!

  • Comment removed

  • @pede0402 its not, they were going to release this scene but it took away the fact that there should be more emphasis on frodo and sam because they were on mount doom and not aragorn. So they got rid of Sauron and replaced him with the troll that you see aragorn fighting

  • in the really movie sauron is an trol

  • what is this heavenly music behind this vid???????

  • This would have been silly in the movie because Sauron is depicted as a nearly omnipotent force of evil, and him engaging in a simple sword fight with Aragorn is waaay below him. Even in his weakened state he would completely destroy Aragorn and his army.

  • @Suparian In the book Sauron is still really powerful, but he isn't all-powerful. In fact, there is something of ranks for the more magical characters. Sauron wasn't the most fierce badass to ever live, he was just the most badass dude alive on Middle Earth. His master, Morgoth the original dark lord, was a lot more terrifying.

  • @HotBlueLightning Well yeah, Morgoth was the true Dark Lord and basically a god, since he was born before creation, but Sauron is still a Maia, one of the chosen beings of the gods. Aragorn, or any mortal man for that matter, could be a match for him. The only one around I can think of who might beat him is another Maia, in this case Gandalf. As the most powerful of the Istari, he should at least be able to fight him and make it out alive.

  • @Suparian Well, to decide this, that's not an easy thing. In the end of the Second Age, Sauron has bean defeated, by the Narsil, wielded by Isildur. And, Morgoth... well, in the First Age, not defeated, but knocked by Luthien the Fair. Yes, she was an elf, not man, but, by power, dunedains are near to the elves. Not those ancient ones, like Elrond or his ancestors, but in the book, Aragorn could knock Sauron, too, with the Palantir, by mental.

  • Would not have worked in the movie. Although in the book, aragorn does see sauron as he once was ("giver of gifts" form he used to trick the elves), he does not actually fight with him or anything, he sees him then the vision vanishes.

  • what sountrack is this?

  • @epona400 two steps from hell:protectors of the earth

its awesome i have many of tsfh.this might be the best :P

  • That was beast!!!

  • song perfectly fits with video which makes it so much better

  • what is the name of this song ?

  • Fantastic scene, fantastic and epic persons and fantastic song!!!

  • the little hobbits running beside the really tall guys....so cute!

  • @skipncar The music is by Two Steps From Hell and the song is called Protectors of the Earth.

  • They took the scene of Sauron vs Isildur and they just mixed it with the scene of Aragorn vs the Troll! If this was an original scene it would show the death of the "form of Sauron"! You can see it's fake if you carefully pause it in 01:15 when Sauron throws "Aragorn" down but you can't see Aragorn's face cuz it's Isildur!

  • @MrAlexSaranto No, its a real scene they were filming. theres videos of Peter and Viggo on youtube talking about taking that scene out, and replacing it with the Troll.

  • @DXfanfoever replacing this with the troll was just wrong, I wanted to see Sauron's angelic form and then take his fearful form again. Then they could of had Sauron's spirit disperse back to the tower and then explode. They didn't even add this as a deleted scene in the extended edition :(

  • it would have been awesome to see Sauron back in his form !!!

  • Sauron does have a physical form, it is mentioned in the books most notably in smeagol/gollum mentioning him only having 4 fingers so the scene was possible however as it does not occur in the books was a good choice to leave it out but include it as a deleted scene on the extended edition :)

  • @tomc611 No, Sauron ceased to have a physical form after fighting Isildur.

  • It was bullshit for Peter Jackson to cut this out, but he did had a good reason. He wanted Frodo and Sam to be the true heroes to root for, not Aragorn.

  • Comment removed

  • Epic, but seriously, it was impossible to Sauron appear at this time. Without the ring, he couldn't form a physical body.

  • @filiperodriguesaquin in the book he had a body remember remember smeagol's tale about he was torched from the dark lord with the four fingers:P

  • @Afereth good point :)

But, in my interpretation, even incorporeal, Sauron still could use some of his powers, don't you agree?

  • @filiperodriguesaquin no,because he hasn't a ring

  • @filiperodriguesaquin wrong. he did that before.

  • @TheDarkChaplain when??

  • I really like to see the success I had with this video over the last year. So I made a new and reworked version. I've added it as video response

  • Does anyone know where this music comes from? It is epic!

  • Honestly it would have been more climatic to see Sauron (The ultimate villian in the story) fight against the KING!!!

  • scene aragon vs sauron is deleted cause that not in the book lord of the rings return of the king!

  • @veljkoPrO Legolas shooting sauron in the Thoat is also not in the film

  • @veljkoPrO *Book Sorry

  • @veljkoPrO Do you reckon they forgot about that when they actually made the scene? :p

  • Awesome song can someone please tell me its name???

  • @Istariwizardjedi the ones that made this music are called TWO STEPS FROM HELL there you can search for it

  • @NickRiviera10 Thanks a billion! The song is called "Protectors of the Earth" and it is epic and fits this scene perfectly

  • Sauron's armor and vicious fighting style are awesome. I think it would have been BIBLICAL if Sauron had battled Aragorn exactly like this and it would be fitting seeing as he does not now have the power of playing uber beat down and having battalions fly back with his mace because he lacks the Ring. It would have been a lot more dramatic especially in the Extended version because of Frodo's Mithril mail etc. Sauron is basically the equivalent of a huge troll with nothing but physical power here

  • that poor orc at 1:16 seconds that legolas knocks over disliked this video

  • youtube.com/watch?v=IqKt_h0EPuU anyone wondering where the raw footage of aragorn and sauron fighting comes from.... in case no one has linked it i added it as a video response!

  • dude this looks like shitty editing and where is the fucking annatar form?

  • @EazyOleMiss it does show annatar at 0:35 if you pay close attention

  • @killer19903 oooo i see it

  • It's not in the extended, it was literally deleted from everything but the special features.

  • Watching it on the new extended theatrical version I saw a number of different scenes...one I hadn't seen before was a re-cutting of he reunion of Aragorn and Arwen, much much better than the one on DVD. Is that on the blue ray version, or was it more reason to have gone and see it in the large anyway?

  • song?

  • @everybody The entire movie pissed me off can y'all answer me this question since gandalf use the birds to save frodo and same why didn't he use them damn birds to take them there....from a niggas perspective the whole trilogy is pointless lol jk

  • @UriahCrook47 It's based off of books. And besides, the eagles aren't always with Gandalf. I don't think that he rescued them with birds in the books.

  • @UriahCrook47

The eagles only flew into Mordor after the death of Sauron. Actually, flying into Mordor with Sauron still around would be pointless. All would have been lost because he would have taken the ring with ease.

  • @UriahCrook47

It's not about that, it's about the journey and fellowship man, the struggle for humanity.

It would've been a suicide run, who ever was dropped off into Mt Doom would be killed almost immediately. Then it'd have to be someone no one cared about, then they couldn't be trusted who ever it was with the ring. Then if they just tossed them into the volcano from the air, what if they missed? The guy died hitting the rock ledge.

  • I Honestly feel Aragorn should have had a final duel with Sauron. He should have fought him as Isildur had.

  • @Brandon5l9 Well, it was based off of Tolkien's books. Maybe he never thought of it that way.

  • @Brandon5l9 isildur didn't fight sauron, his father did, all isildur did was cut off the ring

  • @Brandon5l9

You're absolutely right for 3 long movies i waited for that moment and then all i get is a falling tower WTF.

Not even in the books does he go mano a mano with Sauron

  • @navylaks2 He's sacrificing himself to give Frodo a chance, to have a bossfight like that would take away some of Aragorns heroism

  • @Brandon5l9 While it would have been cool, it would be lame at the same time. The story was not about Aragorn, the whole battle at the Black Gate was them fighting for Frodo, so he could destroy Sauron and the Ring. It wasn't Aragorns fight, it was Frodos. Aragorn just bought him time.

But I'l admit it would be bad ass to have a duel with Aragorn and Sauron.

  • @Brandon5l9 then getting rid of the ring wouldnt be as epic....if that were so

  • @Brandon5l9 Wrong.

  • @Brandon5l9 It was planned that he should have, but they replaced Sauron with a Troll

  • @Brandon5l9 yeah but sauron is stronger than aragorn hes even stronger than gandalf

  • @Brandon5l9 Peter Jackson intended that. But, he thought that it would undermine the true meaning of the battle: to give Frodo and Sam more time. The battle was for frodo and sam and Jackson thought that giving the big good guy v. bad guy duel to aragorn would take away from it.

  • Man you guys are arguing over some trivial bullshit lol

  • @xxsandmanxx02 Mostly, people were conversing politely, till some assholes showed up.

  • @xxsandmanxx02 These fags are unbelievably stupid. They must be 8 or something, desperately wanting their opinions to be the correct ones. And when you try to explain to them why they are idiots and they should stop, they call you a troll. But, that's the internet, buddy. Deal with it or don't fucking use it.

  • Just to clarify, this particular video is fake, but the concept isnt. They filmed an encounter between Aragorn and Sauron along the lines of this, but the idea was scraped and the footage was never used.

  • both endings would be bad. I mean, if Sauron was out fighting, despite not being in par with the book, it would be obvious that Gandalf would be fighting him, not a mortal even if that one is Aragorn. But with the current ending, its fucking weird seeing Legolas getting shit scared about Aragorn and running to save him from a Troll, since there are like a shittons of Trolls around and I bet Aragorn should be able to handle them

  • @KiSs0fd3aTh By the time this battle took place, Gandalf was not much more than just an old man with a sword and a pair of balls. The witch king had broken his magical staff, where all his power lay. Nobody could take Sauron on if he had resurrected, that's what the whole point of the fucking movie is. Prevent Sauron from getting his ring back and resurrecting. Did you actually watch the movies or read the books or are here to just talk your shit and have a good time?

  • @DeanWinchester133 except in the prequel in the very beginning, mortals are definitely fighting sauron, when he had the ring still. have you forgotten that a mortal is the one who cut the ring off his finger?

  • @tylerbrainerd Yeah, well, touche.

  • @DeanWinchester133 I'm still blocked on your channel so I'll reply here. I'm doing fine

  • @Alyzabeth1990 Good, good. I'll unblock you so we can a friendly chat.

  • @DeanWinchester133 Where in the books exactly did the witch king break his shaft? Hint : He didn't... and Sauron ressurected? LOL, he wasn't dead in the first place wtf. And no, the movie / books wasn't about preventing Sauron from taking back the Ring, since this could be easily done, it was about destroying the ring in the mount doom, which is a different thing

  • @KiSs0fd3aTh *facepalm* We are talking about this movie now, not the books. Clearly you haven't seen it. Did you even read my comment? Yes, that was the point, destroy the ring to prevent Sauron from getting it back. Do you know what happens if Sauron takes back the ring? He regains his power and his body, therefore you could say he gets resurrected.

  • @DeanWinchester133 LOl you are talking about the movies now? In your previous comment you told me I haven't read the books...now that I clearly have and you not, you altered it into "you haven't seen the movies". Nice trolling there dude, keep it up

  • @KiSs0fd3aTh No, you started talking about books all of a sudden. I asked if you watched the movies OR the books. Learn how to read you fuckin' idjit. Trolling? Lmfao, you really are the dumbest idiot on youtube. The only person trying to troll is you and i don't see why. What the hell is your problem? I suppose you don't get laid enough and your parents didn't love you since you're coming here to fight about trolls and Sauron in an extended scene of lotr. Get a life loser, seriously.

  • honestly i wish they used that scene because it would make sense if sauron wuz there and wuz fighting aragorn and it would be epic because sauron fought isildor the same way

  • Comment removed

  • @MrResidenteviladdict No, it would not make sense, Sauron does not like to fight directly. He only fought in the War off the Last Alliance in an act of desperation, he much prefers manipulation and using armies. The fact that he lost was all the more reason not to do it especially with the embarrassing (for Sauron) 'lucky swing' route the movies took. In the books Elendil (Isildur's father) and Gil-galad (king of the elves) killed him, but died in the process, the ring cut from his corpse.

  • Has nobody noticed that this is fake. He's put music to cover up the sound of the movie because he had no matching sound, this is shown nowhere else on you tube and in any cut out scenes in lord of the rings special features and sauron would need the ring to come back in physical form so this is fake

  • @Elsypelsy0 - Although yes, I'm sure he spliced this all together and added the music, the scenes are not fake. You know the scene where Aragorn fights the troll at the end? Originally, when the black gate opened, they were going to show Sauron in the form of Annatar, his fair form, come out of the gates. There, he attempts to corrupt Aragorn, and when Aragorn refuses him, he then looks like Sauron (as he was shown here and at the beginning of the first film) and Aragorn and Sauron fight.

  • @Elsypelsy0 - However, in The Silmarillion Tolkein wrote that after the fall of Numenor Sauron could no longer take on a fair form, so, even after filming it, they cut the scene and changed it to Aragorn fighting the troll. This definitely isn't the full scene, but the clips of Sauron and Aragorn fighting are real. The entire scene was filmed and edited and still exists, the scene was mentioned in documentaries on the Extended editions of the films, so really, it isn't "fake".

  • The scene in question was partially shot and discussing in the extended edition commentary, but this scene is very obviously a fake. It is just a composite of scenes from the theatrical release with scenes of Sauron from the beginning of FotR and the DVD extras. It wasn't even spliced in effectively, it is very noticeable. The horrible fake lens flare is also a giveaway. To reiterate: The scene in question was partially shot, but never released and a troll was CGI'd over Sauron in the end. Fake.

  • Have can Sauron fight Aragorn when hes clearly straped on to the tower? ;)

  • Much cleaner ending than we got tortured with...

  • THANK GOD they didnt use this it would have undone 3 movies of epicness in a single swoop lol. bit weird that the final battle is actually against gollum, but thats also pretty cool, well ok technically its against saruman in the book

  • Wouldn´t Sauron need the ring to become like that again? IMO it is better that they did not use this take.

  • @TheMajin7 No he can take on his form anytime, in the books Gandalf repeatedly says that He is only a covard and whould only come out of his tower when his victory is assured, he is a wuss.

  • @Darkernorakeln Oh, I had no idea. I suppose it would have been fitting. Is that what happened in the book?

  • @TheMajin7 No cause Sauron know something was shifty about Aragorn walking in front of his door and challenge him, BUT he never had imagined that Gandalf whould send a hobbit into mordor with the ring.

So no he whould not go to the black gate, and Aragorns death is not the end of middle earth, he whould only lead the assault on Rivendel himeslf.

  • @TheMajin7 It could be because it was so close.

  • I wish they kept in sauron. It doesn't really seem to come full circle with the troll. It would have been perfect if it was sauron.

  • @AddamHusayin no it would have been awful, sauron couldnt be two places at once and it would have deviated away from the frodo and sam part in mount doom if people were also worried about aragorn dying from sauron as well

  • @iBeAsTeX It would have been awesome!!!

  • Good they didn't include it both cut and and extended version, this would destroy the epicness around Sauron.

  • sauron: 1:12 that tickles, NOW U DIE

  • it's too bad that replacing sauron with the troll just made this whole sequence make absolutely no sense. they should have had something else entirely, or maybe another balrog.

  • @tylerbrainerd why did it make no sense?

  • @tylerbrainerd what your saying just doesnt make any sense at all

  • @LifterC3 don't worry, I'm sure someday your reading comprehension will step up. or you will learn about asking questions.

  • @tylerbrainerd You know i can perfectly understand the English language and i dont need comprehension.. just explain to me why a troll in Saurons army makes no sense but a Balrog would..did you know that Durins Bane was the last Balrog in Middle-earth and Gandalf defeated him.Aragorn would have never been able to fight a Balrog, there never were Balrogs in Saurons army so thats why it doesnt make sense, however he did have trolls fighting for him so it fits perfectly and it DID made sense.

  • @LifterC3 I'm not talking about it doesn't make sense in regard to the larger LOTR canon. Jackson has disregarded plenty of those details before. All I'm pointing out is that in terms of pacing and editing, the sequence builds and builds and builds, and then it's nothing. Why would the army pause for a troll? Why should there be a big stop for something that was totally normal?

  • @tylerbrainerd Maybe because that Troll was kicking Aragorn's ass?

  • @DeanWinchester133 Could you specify what you are responding to specifically? And it wasn't a troll kicking his ass, it was sauron with a troll photoshopped over it.

  • @tylerbrainerd Usually on youtube, the message one person is responding to is right above the one just sent. Do i have to draw you a picture? Anyways, i digress. My point is, what the hell do you care if it's a troll or sauron? Ok, the whole army stopped and looked at Aragorn, so what? Get over it kid. Watch the film and enjoy, don't be an asshole.

  • @DeanWinchester133 jesus dude, what the hell is your problem? In case you hadn't noticed, the conversation I was in didn't include you, and my most recent comment had more then one statement in it. How am I an asshole for politely asking for clarification? And how can you feel ok about being an asshole while calling someone an asshole? Fuck off.

  • @tylerbrainerd OMFG! Are you really gonna bitch? To me asshole?! Go fuck yourself, really. You need it.

  • @DeanWinchester133 Go away troll.

  • @tylerbrainerd So tell me what it's like to be half a man. It must break your heart to see what I am, but that's the breaks boy.

  • @DeanWinchester133 What it's like? A lot more pleasant then your sad existence.

  • @tylerbrainerd Hahahaha, that's the breaks little man.

  • @tylerbrainerd what sequence building/big stop are you talking about, they were fighting for there lives and a Troll apeared in the middle of the battle, it fought with Aragorn for a while and slammed him to the ground, there was no army pausing for him, the battle still raged on, on the background and i guess no stupid idiot would come near a rampage troll as it could easily crush you. Legolas was pasing towards them because the troll was about to pulverize him, there was no big stop..

  • @LifterC3 Don't bother messaging tylerbrained, he's a tiny-brained pathetic troll. Also, he's a kid, so i guess he's taking it out on us because his parents don't love him enough or something. Anyways, don't bother man, he'll just keep talking his shit until one of us stops answering.

  • @DeanWinchester133 well honestly i still expected a reply from him since the last one was written by me 3 days ago, but now i see that he completly ignored me for no reason an started bitching on other people i guess he realizes that he was wrong but sadly he is immature enough not to admit that so lets just ignore him, eventually he might crawl away in a little cave and become a Gollum himself to die lonely and miserably.

  • 0:22 gandalf: come on come on rubbing mithril shirt don't let it be who i think it is!!!!!!!

  • What a load of old cack. I cannot believe someone wasted their time putting this piece of s**t together.

  • @dtblack123 It's pretty clearly real. That whole sequence in the movie doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have it just be a troll, but it makes a lot of sense for it to be sauron.

  • @tylerbrainerd

It wouldnt make sense for it to be sauron, for I doubt any mortal could fight sauron in a one-to-one combat and win. Even a balrog would be too much. After all even gandalf nearly died killing the balrog and he was a maia himself..

  • @jphotguy well he was only gandalf the grey then :P

  • @Joshimitsu91

EVen if he wasnt the leader of the istari, do you REALLY think aragorn could match up against a Maia?

  • @jphotguy for a start i didnt say that i think aragorn could have beaten sauron. Just because he was a maia doesn't make him invincible either. Saruman was killed by a mortal in the end...

  • @Joshimitsu91

true.. , but saruman had his "maia status removed" sorta. He was near powerless in the end. But sauron was still pretty goddamn strong ,no?even without the ring? :P

  • this song is 2 steps from hell (PROTECTORS OF THE EARTH) just the right song for this scene

  • Fake. The scene depicted here was scrapped during development but the Sauron in it would have looked nothing like this

  • @MrWaeseL alot of us have seen all movies IN NONE OF THEM SAURON HOLDS A SWORD IT IS NOT FAKE HE HOLDS A MACE IN THE FIRST MOVIE

  • @MrWaeseL alot of us have seen all movies IN NONE OF THEM SAURON WIELDS A SWORD IT IS NOT FAKE HE WIELDSS A MACE IN THE FIRST MOVIE

  • This is as fake as a Obama's birth certificate. Hoooo!

    Only kidding kids! He's legit.

    This still isn't though. :|

  • lol at 2:45 legolas looks happy like oh i don't know whats going on i don't care if sauron's in mortal form im just gonna keep smiling oh

  • You can say that it's fake all you want. The fact that the shots are actually of Aragorn fighting some dude in a Sauron suit say different. They CGI'd the troll over him in the final cut because they decided it'd be stupid to have Aragorn fight Sauron.

  • @cheames

I agree that Aragorn should've fought Sauron. Only that'd it'd be awesome. However it wouldn't be canon to the story because only with the ring can he take physical form.

  • Typical of the cornball literalism Jackson brought to the whole project. As if Sauron as a giant searchlight wasn't bad enough. Good grief.

  • I want the see sauron at middle earth! :( Not like an eye.I want the see him originial body.

  • If only my master did appear in this part in the movie.

  • Boromir would of kicked saurons arse!!

  • sauron is actually on his tower staring down his army, remember when aragorn looked at the palantir u can see sauron holding another palantir and the big eye behind him, sauron was always in his physical form

  • @josepasillas530 Sauron wasn't in his physical form, he was in a former Maia spirit form.

  • Comment removed

  • what is this song?

  • The moment I saw the obvious CGI lens flare, I knew it was BS. Only J.J. Abrams would do something so out of place... not Peter Jackson.

  • @MartinVideoVault I think the rest of the movie clearly shows that Peter Jackson was quite willing to do things that were entirely out of place... The warg attack, Aragorn going over a cliff... Faramir being a clone of Boromir... Gimli as comic relief... Remember that he wanted to have Arwen fighting at Helms Deep? It's extremely plausible to me that he would have concocted an ending like this, sadly.

  • You've got to be a freaking idiot to not see that this was pieced together by someone...

  • this is a nice little project, but, i call bullshit.

  • Really people?! That what fake as hell! Pay attention, a bunch of different battles added in one scene with a twist. There was a never a scene with such a fight.

  • Wow cool! :D Guess someone cut and paste the fortage from the Making-Of into the actual video to allow us to see the "Alternate" Scene. ;)

  • I agree with their decision to use the other version, but I was totally sucked in by this one too! Thanks for posting this!

  • Someone took the footage provided on the extras of the scene Peter shot of Aragorn fighting Sauron (which he later changed) and edited it into the movie. Cool!!

  • @donnajunef : Ya I think so too as the part showing "Annatar" is too short compared to what shown in the Making-Off.

But off my head, can't remember if they did show Aragorn fighting Sauron Post-Production (is that the correct word for it?) making it able to be seamlessly editing into a fortage from the movie. :\

  • what music is this?

  • @gratzifix it is Two Steps From Hell - Protectors Of The Earth(Choir)

  • Still didn't count the scene when sauron tries to persuade Aragorn, then refuses, and Sauron puts on his armor and charges aragorn.

  • what music is this?

  • lol fake

aragorn fight with battle troll in there

  • @Amaterasu299 nope its not fake. watch the extended dvd's because there they talk about it. They shot it with Souron but then they realized its too much happening at one time, so they replaced it with a cg troll.
