Hello again. I've been watching this video again and again. I can't find this bag of mixed prima flowers. I want the purple ones that were sprayed with sugar maple. Where did you buy them?
@fruitfly769 That bag of flowers comes fro the Prima Wildflower Pillar in white. I just put them in a bag for easier storage. The place where I purchased them no longer offers them, but if you go to google shopping and search "prima wildflower pillar white" a bunch of options will come up. Also, I recently started using the Petaloo "Color Me Crazy" flowers in white {same concept as the Prima pillar} and I actually like them much better. They are more geared toward layering and they are awesome!
Hello, you did a great job on the pages. My question is the envelope that you used can you get it in bigger sizes? Like to use brochures and maybe a small books. I'm doing a book for mr brother from his trip to Europe and I thought that would be fun to use with the extras in. Or do you have an better idea?
@missjj1280 That 7 Gypsies pocket did come in three sizes & this is either the middle or the largest. The largest is around 4.25"x6.25" or so. They recently stopped making these pockets, though, so they're getting harder to find. You can try catlog envelopes from the office supply store, which come in a variety of sizes & have a similar shape, or you could make your own custom pockets out of cardstock. There are a bunch of free templates on the net. :D Hope that helps!
@fabilanena The flowers were sprayed with Glimmer Mist in the colors Apple, Pomegranate & Sugar Maple. Those colors are from the Fall 2010 Limited Edition colors and they are gorgeous!
@tifflazek12 The white flowers I used in this video are from the Prima Wildflower Pillar Pack {comes in white & multi-colored ~ I prefer the white so I can use my Glimmer Mists}. Prima also makes bulk white flowers for Michael's which are sold under Michael's Recollections brand. Hope that helps!
Beautiful side by side! Have to say it was kinda eerie watching this video! LOL I love the wind blown flowers it's just stunning against the deep purple background. I love how you used the box cutter to remove the clip from the butterfly!
love how you have all the flowers on the pages, i am really tight with my flowers even though i have a few hundred of them LOL and i love the butterfly, great 2 page spread tfs hugs Amanda
@butterflyamanda I used the hoard my flowers, but then I realized my house was likely to collapse under the weight of them if I didn't do something about it, so I just started to go crazy! I promise that the more you use, the easier it gets to use more. ;)
I just love the colors you used on this page. The contrast is sooo pretty. I love all of your flowers. The colors are stunning. I'll have to get those glimmer mist colors. JIL
Everytime I watch one of your videos, it makes me want to run right into my craftroom ! Thanks for always sharing, your such an inspiration!! ~ Corene
@corenescreations Thank you, Corene ~ that is a huge compliment! Knowing my videos inspire you to create is so awesome! :D Thank you so much for watching & for taking the time to comment. I'm so pleased you're enjoying the videos and projects.
I am so glad you like the GM colors! When you ordered them I knew you were getting them for this project :) Pomegranate is my new fav color! Isn't the turquoise glimmer gorgeous with the purple? Thanks for sharing this project!
@BlackSunJamie I am going to have to stock up on Apple, Pomegranate & Sugar Maple. Those three are spectacular. I love how bright Sugar Maple is when it dries ~ almost like copper. They're all gorgeous & they go perfectly with this paper collection!
@bakogirl66 My library pockets are from 7 Gypsies. They have four options: small, medium, large and multi-pack. If you're looking for them, you should check out places that stock a lot o 7 Gypsies stuff like Two Peas or Bluemoon. Hope that helps!
Gorgeous! Simply gorgeous!!! Soooo pretty & you are right, it looks like the flowers are justblowing along the pages. I love your sponge dauber, where did you pick that little tool up? TFS & keep up the beautiful work...
@galecrafts Thank you so much, Gale! :D That little sponge dauber is called a spouncer and they area stenciling tool. You can get them at most craft or art stores in the stenciling section. I believe I got mine from JoAnn's, but I am not 100% on that one.
amazing video, once gain. even in fast motion, your voice is so calming and direct. I feel like I could do exactly what you did. Wonderful colors. Haven't see it in stores.
Very beautiful as all your albums are Kathryn! I am loving this paper and I usually dont bother buying fall paper but purple is my fav color and I love the way this collection is put together. tfs
Kathryn, this is just stunning...all i can say is WOW!!! You are so talented! I love everything you did here! This is going to be one amazing Book! I adore the colors!!!♥
@JenniferNicoleable It has six pages in it & I think they will all fit even after they are decorated. You can fit a lot in a small spine ~ the problem is that it won't lay flat unless the spine and the finished page spread are the same height. So this book will fan out for sure. But that's okay ~ it's not like I can make a flat book, apparently.
@IVY5 I get my refills from Framing Supplies. {Just google "framingsupplies" and it'll pop up} I buy 12 rolls of the 1/2" width {I have the 700} in the 60 yard length of the 3M 903 Gold. I have always ordered from them & their customer service is great. 12 rolls last me about six months, but I scrap all the time and use tons of adhesive. I have heard there is a cheaper acid free tape out there, but I am so happy with what I am using and where I am getting it, that I am not tempted to switch.
@kipperdsnacks Thank you, Patti! I'm so happy you love this album ~ I love it, too! :D I am so inspired by the rich colors in this paper pad ~ I think they're gorgeous! It's making this one a joy to pull together.
Wow. I think this may my favorite layout of yours and I've seen alot of them. I absolutely love the way those flowers and leaves look as if they're blowing in the wind. Lela
@scrapstampcreate Thank you, Lela! This is one of my favorites, too! I am absolutely in love with how the flowers did end up looking like they were blowing in the wind ~ it has so much life and movement in person ~ I just love it! This is going to be a tough one to let go of.
Just wondering how often you have to replace you ATG gun? I am looking into buying one but I'm not sure if it is an investment I want to look into.
I love how your page turned out. The cut out of the leaves looks wonderful, and it's a great way to incorporate your fav papers onto one mini page! Thanks again for sharing your awesome ideas, I love watching you create! TFS!
@Lejack97 Thanks so much, Lily! I'm glad you enjoyed it! A box of 12 1/2" by 60 yard refills of the adhesive lasts me for six months, so I am replacing the adhesive twice a month or so. But I scrap every day & am really greedy with my adhesive ~ LOL!
Words can't describe how beautiful this mini is coming out. The paper is stunning! I'm not usually drawn to this style, but wow. The fall GM 2010 colors look like they were made for this paper. Goes along perfectly. Thank you for sharing another page with us.
@CrysTvsky Thanks so much, Crystal! I love how this page turned out & I agree with you about the Glimmer Mists! The "Pomegranate" color matched the purple on this page almost exactly ~ I was so pleased! Love the Fall 2010 GM colors!
@mississchic I am on my second glass mat because my first glass mat shattered after a marathon session of heat drying misted flowers. I do not recommend you heat directly on your glass mat. I have a wooden cutting board that I usually put down {when I am not feeling lazy} to protect my self-healing mat from the heat.
You are genuine, talented and so generous for sharing this with us. It's just beautiful and so getting me in the mood for FALL ! Glass mat definitely helps ! TFS
Thank you for sharing page by page. It sure helps and inspires. Beautiful work.
