  • Omg thank you!

  • dezy3112 - you can do this stretch as often as you feel the need.

  • thank you your a legend

  • how many times a day can i do this strech?

  • i have severe sciatic nerve pain in my buttock area. sometimes the pain is so bad i cant even lift my leg

  • hello, i cant sit with my leg straight like you in this video, i will feel pain area in my buttock, is it cause of this sciatica or sciatic nerve pain? i hope you can help me, because i've been suffer from this pain about 7-8 month now and its really make me uncomfortable. thank you

  • @ahinabih try lying down on your back on the floor next to your couch, put your legs up on the couch so that your thighs are perpendicular to the floor and that your lower legs are completely resting. Check your neck. If it's arched so that your chin points up toward the ceiling, place a folded towel or small pillow under your head. This position completely relaxes all of the muscles in your back at the same time, reducing your pain. Stay here and just breathe deeply for about 5 minutes.

  • @KathiC100 i see thank you :)

  • @ahinabih You are welcome!

  • i cant do this :( i can only walk for about 30 seconds then my back is just too sore. im only 17 :( i dont know why this is happening to me.

  • I cant even start the first steep,,the pain is bad,,,

  • @sunsonicvision - you do not need to stretch as far as I do in this video. as long as your doctor has said that you can exercise, simply doing the exercise as much or as little as what's comfortable for you will help. If your foot doesn't go all the way to your thigh without pain, place it against your calf.

  • @KathiC100 where can i buy your dvd

  • I bought the same Mexican blanket down in Tijuana a few years ago.

  • Thanks, Kathy--nothing worse than continuous sciatic pain

  • @bellbonne - You are welcome!

  • im 18 and i have had sciatica for 7 weeks now , the pain is pretty much gone unless i stretch my left leg, but my problem is that i lost most of the strength in my leg , i used to play sports but had to give up because of the weakness in my leg , does anyone know how i can regain the strength in my leg ???

  • Can I suggest you try Theraflex it usually takes about 3 sessions to get rid of all the pain

  • Guys... i was once a sufferer of sciatica.- advanced stage. I tried all but it takes a very long time to get rid of it once in this advanced stage. I did go for Kerala Ayurvedic massage. It took 10 continous days, 1 hr massage under the guidance of ayurvedic doctor. Its gone in 15 days completely. Now again i am suffering. this was 5 yrs back. Well sciatica can occur again and again even if you take all these steps. So best thing is keep moving your body . Do exercise daily and it wont be bad

  • Thankyou so much. Here i was thinking that i had a bad hip like my mum, when someone said to me maybe it is Sciatic Nerve..... I was what, whats that. Anyway i found your exercise and i just finished it and wow instant relief. I know i will contine with this exercise as the pain is just horrible. I have never had back pain in my life and this is just brilliant. Thankyou again so much.

  • Thanks for your comments and glad you have found relief.

  • i didnt think this was gonna work until i tried it omg...its awesome

  • I am going to try these later today. I am a person who is in good shape, and rarely gets pain, or winded. Rather, I never used to up until about 8 months ago. I have to stop all the time when walking. It's very frustrating. I have no weight issues either... I am just here looking for relief. Surfing the net I mean, and ran across your vids. I'll report back. ;)

  • Thank you! I did it once and my back pain hs gone away about 75%! I'm going to do this stretch more, so I can prevent my horrible back pain. Thank you!

  • @LuvingToxik

    You are welcome!

  • Dear Yogini4ever,

You are correct, I tell all my students to fold forward with a straight back from the hips. Thanks for your comment!

  • hi um i did this and it helped a lot! but i still have lower back pains when i arch my back or bend backwards..i think i got it from cheerleading and we have a competition in a week any suggestions to make it feel better??

  • Be sure to hinge from the hips when folding! If you fold at the belly can make it worse!

  • that actually works thanks alot XD

  • Dr. Sarno's book is one of many valuable tools. I use it as a reference when providing programs dealing with back pain. I also recommend it to those for whom other treatments have not been successful. Glad you like it.

    Kathi

  • thanks you

  • wow, thank you so much for posting this! after just doing it once, i can feel a difference!

  • I tried chiropracty, massage, epidurals, exercise, etc. If you have low back pain, mid-back pain, or whatever it may be, there is a really great read called "Healing Back Pain" by Dr. John Sarno. It conveys the most Responsible Content on the matter that I have ever come across and is NOT "about" anatomy in general. You can google his name they probably have the book at your local library. P.S. I've had 2 discectomies in the past - didn't know better, and...yeah, it's a really worthwhile read.

  • Thank you for sharing and I'm so glad your pain is gone.

  • i know i've thanked you already but OMG you have no idea how much this vid has helped me !!! I do this excercise every day and its the only thing that relieves the pain, even after doctors and physio's tried to help - this vid is all that has worked lol xx

  • thank u for posting this :):)

  • You are welcome!
