because it is a documentary about The Troubadour, and the people who came up in that scene. Dylan was already well established, and there have been numerous documentaries, and dramatic films about him
I know, but it's also about the whole singer-songwriter scene of the '70s. And I'm not saying that they should have devoted a large part of this to Dylan, but it's hard to talk about the movement's history without talking about the guy who invented the whole concept.
I saw this special last night and it was fantastic and the best music special on Carol King and James Taylor I have ever saw. I am going to by the Live at the Troubador CD and DVD package. There was alot of music and alot about Carol and James life and how James kicked drugs and how long he has been clean. The interview with Steve Martin was fantastic as well. Thanks for this post of this amazing program. Have been to see James 7 times all around the country.
This is part of America's wonderful history which has forever influenced our unique identity. BRAVO to the explorer's, shakers and movers of the 60s...

Uh, how can you make a documentary about singer-songwriters & not mention Bob Dylan, the guy who invented the whole thing?
