  • Oh dear....

  • for everyone who doesn't believe in god try to think about where it all began (before earth), there is no scientific explaination or theory, time doesn't just begin so there must be a God who made it all!

  • I don't believe in religion, but I love this chant.

  • I play this to be in tune with my History homework

  • I find Gregorian Chants so inspiring, peaceful and make me realise that there is a GOD

  • I am an athiest and i like this song :)

  • Athiest are such pricks

  • @chrisfoucha

Everyone has to find their own way, no one is completely right or wrong, or without sin.

  • @chrisfouch I know right? Not as much as Theists though.

  • All this people saying they are atheist and are enjoying this chant. Good to know. But I belive in Christ and love this chant too, just to say it.

  • I want to apologizes to all religious people. I am an Atheist.

BUT one that can enjoy this music for the beautiful expression it is without making a fuss about it. Nor would any other "educated" atheist.

Atheist always get confronted by religion and because of that we are used to argue against it. Some of us loose track of what we argue for. and argue against everything touched by religion.

    please forgive them ;)

  • Leyden That's the point I was trying to make, that is was a different Mary that had the kids.

And Martin Luther also new this.

Iwas poitning out to other Christion other then Catholics tht they were not Jesus's brothers but only cousins.

  • 1. Proud un-apologetic atheist.

    2. Really enjoy chant and polyphonic music

    3. Appreciate nice art and architecture regardless of its creators beliefs

    4. Nothing inconsistent in 1-3.

  • Sick of these armchair atheists who bring their sputtering vitriol and ignorance here.

If you have a problem with us, find another atheist and talk to him about it.

  • God bless Chatolic people

  • Questo è un canto molto bello! Grazie per aver condiviso.

  • this picture is beautiful... and the music... just speechless...

  • Faith is required for all action.

Faith in some value system that makes that action better than not.

  • I find it disgusting that on every video concerning even a tiny bit about religion must immediately be engulfed in a war between irreligion/religion. It's a great song, don't fight over it.

  • @zenmen55 I AGREE. I wish they would just SHUT UP!

  • @zenmen55 You should know that Youtube is the junkyard of humanity.

  • haunting....just sublime

  • and btdubbs, religion created this awesome chant. there is definfinitely something to it

  • It united Europe, crowned European kings. And yeah, did western civ do some pretty crappy things? of course, humans are humans. But they helped lay the groundwork of science, starting from Thomas Aquinas questioning what transubstantion is in Summa Theologia, to Francis Bacon, Descarte, etc etc. With faith, man realized the mystery around him, science is the answer to faith. They are intertwined, neither are perfect because of human fallibility, and both are beautiful.

  • @EmoScars17

i get what you're saying, except science is what lead to the atomic bomb, mustard gas, biological warfare, chemicals in the enviroment, and the gas chambers( which you can say was caused by a lack of faith) . You can't blame faith for isolation of other cultures- rather geography, and other factors. Aristotle wrote about the natural law, which is where the morality of Christianity comes from. Without the Church, Western Civilization probably would not have existed

  • Just enjoy the Chant, damn you.

  • One of the most beautiful videos on you tube. Well done.

  • A gentle oasis of acoustic tranquility. Thanks be to God.

  • BENDITA ERES TU, OH MADRE DE MI SEÑOR, DE MI NIÑO DIOS; DE LA TERNURA Y ENCARNACION DEL AMOR DE DIOS. DIOS TE ENCOMENDO LA MISION MAS HERMOSA, PERO TAMBIEN LA MAS DOLOROSA. COMO NO TE VOY A AMAR, SI FUISTE AMADA POR MI SALVADOR !!! MADRE HERMOSISIMA, RUEGA A TU HIJO POR TODOS NOSOTROS !!! AMEN, AMEN, AMEN !!!

  • @viago2: Mary is the Mother of God, the Archangel Gabriel visited Her, saying: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with Thee. Viago2 it is you who have been lied to not I. At the foot of the Cross before Jesus died He said to His apostle John: Behold your Mother and to Mary behold your son, at that moment Mary became Mother of all humanity. She is the Mother of Jesus (God) and the mother of all of us. Trust and pray to Her the Holy Rosary and see..........

  • SCIENCE IS GOOD IF IT IS USED TO DO GOOD DEEDS FOR HUMANITY AND GOD'S CREATION. ATHEISTS ARE ALSO GOD'S CREATURES MANY OF ATHEISTS ARE GOOD PERSONS. THERE ARE MANY OTHER SCIENTIST WHO BELIEVE IN GOD. LET'S PRAY FOR HUMANITY TO ACHIEVE PEACE, LOVE, COMPASSION AND HAPPINESS. NO MORE IGNORANCE, HATE, OR ATTACHMENT. NO MORE SIN. SALVATION AND HAPPINESS SHOULD BE OUR FATE.

  • @MarisoleraBoricua61 I second this :)

  • @MarisoleraBoricua61 I'm sorry, I don't intend to argue with you, but CAPS LOCK DOES NOT MAKE YOUR COMMENT MORE CONVINCING. That said, I'm an atheist, and despise prayer, but I enjoy this music, as sounds beautiful.

  • Awesome song:)

  • It's always good to see another believer in God bring such testimony... Thx brother for your witness!

  • I'm Pagan and I love this chant. :D

  • @TheCrusader1109 why are you called crusader then LOL

  • @albokk Aesthetics, duh.

  • @TheCrusader1109 But The Crusaders fought against paganism. You probably should change your name...LOL

  • @mrob75 Technically it was the Templar Knights who went on crusades to the holy land. A Crusader can refer to pretty much anyone who traverses distances to fight for a cause, metaphorical or not. And it was Islam they fought against. The Teutonic Order were the knights who fought against pagans. :P

  • @TheCrusader1109 Very detailed and interesting reply. Have you always been a Pagan or are you a born again Pagan? And how interesting that you would come to this page on You Tube dedicated to our Blessed Mother/"Salve Regina".

  • @mrob75 No I've only recently became a Pagan, and the idea of paganism that I follow isn't really about Gods/Godesses, it's more to do with respect of nature and taking responsibility for your actions. The idea of Pagan Gods is much more recent "branch" if you will. I'm not a devout Pagan either although I do live life by most of the ten Pagan Commandments. :)

  • @TheCrusader1109 "recently became"? What were you before, may I ask?

  • @mrob75 I was agnostic before, although I have been spiritual for quite some time. :)

  • @TheCrusader1109 And what in your life moved you from agnosticism to becoming "spiritual"...And who are you spiritual with?

  • @mrob75 I thought there had to be more to life than our current form?

  • @TheCrusader1109 Although I wasn't spiritual until my mind started to develop, so I've only been like this for a few years.

  • @TheCrusader1109 Hmm...Interesting. As you ascend higher from agnosticism to spirituality, is it possible to continue the ascension to the creation of the "current form" in life?

  • @mrob75 Who knows?

  • @TheCrusader1109 Well if you're listening to Gregorian chant, especially, Salve Regina, you might be closer toward Christian monotheism.

  • ... salam ya ratu, bunda yang berbelas kasih, ... hidup hiburan dan harapan kami, .....

  • thank you, and yes i did. i am from england and here, it may surprise you to know that some catholic churches are more pentecostal than some pentecostal churches. also that we share church services, prods and caths together. the ministers preach in each others churches too. i think it is how it should be. i think its what the popes were after in the 1960's when they introduced vatican 2 the sequel i was saddened to hear of your experience at a protestant church. i never heard of such a thing.

  • this is my jam! yah

  • @AdIgnorantiam I commend you on your openness to appreciate our Catholic music as something beautiful even though your own personal beliefs are different, and I thank you for commenting here to share your appreciation with us :-)

  • Leyden you must take into account that even Martin Luther ( protestant founder) acknowledged that Mary was the Mother of God (second person of the trinity) chosen and made by God to be his Mother in Jesus. As Christian Catholics or Protestant we must acknowledge that Jesus was God incarnate. Therefore we must conclude that Mary can only be known as mother of God otherwise you fault the Christian doctrine by denying Jesus. divinity.

  • @MrYouthTruth Yea, I know Mary was only the mother of God, and not a goddess; I've never said that Mary was a goddess. and fyi, Catholics came first, directly established by Jesus himself; therefore, protestants are wrong because their "faith" was established by the laity, and not by the Lord himself. And if you're going to say that Catholics deny the divinity of Jesus, then I feel sorry for your soul because you have been dangerously misinformed.

  • First, let us see what the Gospels tell us. At the death of Jesus, we are told that Mary wife of Cleophas/Clopas (Jn 19:25) was present. She was described as the mother of James and Joseph (Mt 27:56) in one account, and mother of James the Less and Joses in another (Mk 15:40). On the other hand, James is described as the son of Alphaeus in the synoptic Gospels' listing of the Apostles (Mt 10:3, Mk 3:18, Lk 6:15)

  • @MrYouthTruth yea, but wat does this have to do with the Virgin Mary?

you're talking about a completely different Mary. The Virgin Mary was married to Joseph, not Cleophas/Clopas. therefore, all the kids that she apparently had were of a different Mary, and not the Virgin mother of God. And by the way, I know my truths. Catholics came first, Protestants broke away, bastardized the bible, and constantly quote misinterpreted information, as you have shown me.

  • Merry Christmas Everybody

O clemens: O pia: O dulcis Virgo Maria.
  • Like i read somewhere.. "i do believe in God and Christ, is their fanclub i cant stand"

  • I am a person who believes in God. - However not in the sense that it is a "father" or a man that sits on a throne somewhere in space. I asked an atheist once, why are you an atheist? you believe in something no? Their reply to me was this - Its not so much they dont believe in God perse, its more so they dont believe in what religion tells them about God. They have their own individual thing (*what catholics call personal relationship*) with "God" or whatever they believe in. Its the ideology

  • @sonicboom2885 And further more, why believe in a religion that says do good, but if u do bad repent and u will be saved? They (*the atheist*) believed it was hypocritical. More or less same thing islam does. So i understand them. However i was born and raised in Orthodoxy, never understood how religion and science could co-exist till i came to higher studies. Would i say i am orthodox still, not so much. Do i believe in God, yes, however it is a more naturalist view.

  • leyden, you seem to be a kind and sincere person. i have deliberately avoided trying to hurt you as i can see your faith means everything to you. i am not sure if i qualify as a protestant because i dont know what any of martin luthers 95 theses were about. i do know, however, that your religious belief should not be judged on the depth of your conviction but only on the damage that that belief effects. in love, viago

  • 92 people are fundamentalist protestants...

  • I'm very devoted to the Virgin Mary because she's my spiritual mother in Heaven and i happen to be a devout Catholic. That's why every day, i pray the rosary and that makes her very happy. Put's a smile on her face. :)

  • @alanbourbeau24 keep praying the rosary

the most blessed Virgin Mary will reward you with her intercessions :)

  • As a Catholic, I find i get to appreciate the deep spiritual mystery as well as the amazing artistry... double whamy! yay!

  • @1978dagreat: Mary is full of grace! See the Gospel according to Luke: 1.26-38

Mary was chosen by God to be the Mother of His Son Jesus. She was kept clean from sin, that is why she is the Immaculate Conception. At her death Jesus raised her mother to Heaven body and soul, the day of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.

  • @fiorina1 you have been fed from liers and villains. the assumption is a lie invented in the middle ages. mary is burried in ephes in turkey. read the bible. god requires you to know the truth. to pray to mary is to worship a false idol. god will kill you for that. be very careful.

  • @viago2

yes, I'm sure Jesus loves it when you attack his mother

and I'm sure God will kill us for asking Mary for her intercession

you protestants piss me off so much when you attack Mary

well guess what? READ THE 4TH COMMANDMENT

HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

we honor the father (Yahweh) and the mother (Mary)!

  • @212Leyden i didnt mean to start a religious war i was trying to set straight the illusions you are under. i did not attack mary and i am upset that you said so. the bible is clear that no person can enter heaven until the second coming. the assumption is a lie and non biblical. it is out of love that i try to save you from lies. it is not my intention to hurt you.

i do honour my father and mother mary was the mother of jesus, james and three or four others, thats it. she aint your or my mother.

  • @viago2 yea, well the Catholic Church teaches tradition and the bible are the authorities, not the bible itself

    all of protestantism contradicts itself

I can disprove Sola Fide and Sola Scriptura to you right now

Sola Fide: James 2:24 "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."

Sola Scriptura: 2 Thessalonians 2:15 "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."

  • @212Leyden "Sola Fide: James 2:24 "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."

who. exactly is this james bloke? he is a bit off message. probably why jesus said the stuff he did about his mother and brothers.

man is saved by grace alone not by works or deeds. do you know that him saying this caused the first split in the church. actually, i have a great deal of sympathy with his point, however it aint what the good lord says.

did you learn who jude is yet?

  • @viago2 how can a man be saved by grace only when it says it directly in the bible that he's saved as well with good works? there's no other way to interpret it. The church teaches by Apostolic tradition as well as the bible, therefore somethings the church teaches aren't found directly in the bible. the bible approves of the traditions itself as seen in 2 Thessalonians 2:15. The Catholic Church, along with the Orthodox church follows the apostolic succession.

  • @viago2 no other "Christian" church can claim apostolic succession besides mine and the Orthodox. And by the way, Jesus calls everyone his brothers; he didn't mean it literally. In church, I call all everyone i know "brother or sister," but i don't mean it literally. Also, my church has never yet judged anyone. I've never even heard a priest say anything bad about any other religion. But, when I went to a Protestant Sunday Worship, judgements about Catholics flew everywhere.

  • @viago2 Jesus never judged anyone, especially Mary Magdalen who was a sinner. The Catholic church invites everyone of every race, of every disability, of every sexual orientation to her masses, without judging. And if any priest were to ever judge anyone, and the bishop were to find out... damn, i would feel scared for that priest. and the first split came over an argument over who controls the church; the papacy, or the Orthodox patriarchs as they came to be known.

  • @viago2 you should ask Jesus for forgiveness for your blasphemy against his mother, so that when your judgement day comes, she doesn't convince her son to prohibit your entrance into heaven. and regarding her, our church NEVER prays to the Virgin Mary. How could she have more than Jesus, if she's a virgin?

  • @viago2 "Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death. Amen."

tell me exactly where in this prayer we say that Mary is a goddess, and that we are praying to her. I wanna know what evidence you have that makes you conclude that we pray to Mary. no, let me tell you. NOWHERE! we only honor her, as 4th commandment says to do! :)

  • @212Leyden ok leyden, you win. my soul shall be eternally damned because mary convinced god to act against his better judgement. thats what i call a true mother, saint and goddess. "so that when your judgement day comes, she doesn't convince her son to prohibit your entrance into heaven"

  • @212Leyden protestants dont have such a low esteem for mary, we believe her to have been blessed and gracious. nor do we deny her other children, one of whome james became reconciled to his brother jesus. for mary to have remained celibate in marriage would be against biblical law and presumably, therefore, gods commandments. similarly, if you believe in messianic prophesy then the mother of the messiah had other children. oh, and stop saying brother means cousin. it dont in these contexts.

  • @viago2 show me exactly where in the bible it says that Mary will have more kids than just lord Jesus, since you rely on the bible so much. well guess what, the bible isn't the only authority; that's the load of bullshit that Martin Luther created. Tell me how the apostles founded the church and all of its teaching if the bible didn't exist until 300 ad. no, let me tell you... HOLY TRADITION GIVEN TO THEM BY OUR LORD JESUS!

  • @212Leyden i trust you had a good christmas and i wish you an enlightened new year. it may surprise you that i lit a candle for you at midnight mas on christmas eve.

some of the gospels were written from around 60 ad im told, but i take your point. however, beware the cart that is called apostolic tradition as it has been a vehicle for papal ideological and doctrinal changes down the centuries.

  • @viago2 you really lit a candle for me?

wow, that's really generous of you

now im really confused... are you Catholic or Protestant, and by protestant i mean any other non-Catholic or Orthodox christian religion?

the pope had to change doctrines along with societal changes

same thing with the many more organized Protestant religions, eg Anglicanism

it started out exactly the same as the Catholic church, but it changed over time as society changed, to meet the people's needs.

  • @212Leyden @212Leyden cont.. of coarse, this is fundamentally unsound for it suggests that fundamental truths were withheld from earlier christians and, therefore other truths may well be being withheld from us now!!!

as i said before, i am far from anti-catholic and often choose to worship there, but i refuse to be a slave to philosophically unsound theology.

i look forward to hearing from you soon.

p.s. biblical evidence: mathew 13 v55 56 +most of the the biblical references to mary.

  • @viago2 i've realized that there's no point of arguing because neither you nor me will change our POVs, but i would like to say it was very nice to get to hear your interpretations and your truths. I hope Jesus blesses you and enlightens your path, and maybe one day we could meet in heaven. God Bless You!

  • @212Leyden cont... you are wrong again though. there has been a point in crossing swords as your persistence has allowed me to focus my thoughts on these issues. i have noticed that it is not just me who you have had to deal with but yet you defend your faith with true vigour. i find that inspirational. you have convinced me of faith and works i think.

i am neither protestant nor catholic nor any other faith nor atheist. i walk my own path and search for truth.

  • @viago2 i defend only...

i never attack others' religions unless they attack mine first

i like to learn of others' philosophies and POVs

  • @212Leyden cont.... when you get to heaven you will find me sat next to mary.

that will be magdalen of course. the other one will probably be a bit miffed im there.

  • @viago2 naaa

the Virgin Mary will be happy to see you there

she loves each and every one of God's creations

  • @212Leyden p.s. you want to do creation?

only if you think your tough enough!!!!

  • @viago2 what do you mean?

  • @212Leyden ???? oh, i see, i mean in the biblical sense not um in, er i wasnt suggesting that we literally should er. never mind. are you female? i thought, maybe, i could put you straight on the finer details of genesis,as we seem to have exhausted mary and good deeds and tradition.....maybe not on this page though. what do you think?

  • @viago2 im a dude...

    awkward...

  • @212Leyden not at all, i always thought you were then i suddenly thought you might not be after your last comment. it threw me a bit.not that it matters. the truth as i see it is for all to enjoy (or not).

  • This brings peace to my torment.

  • I wish I can hear this type of music at Mass every week. :(

  • /watch?v=IomxvOTf-So

    The orthodox version

  • @blancbard thankx mate!

  • "I KNEEL N PRAY TO MOTHER MARY AND TO JESUS CHRIST . I PRAY FOR THE WORLD TO GAIN PEACE AND STABLENESS AND LOVE TO EACH OTHER , GIVE IT A TRY AGAIN PLEASE NEVER GIVE UP. PRAY !! BELIVE IN GOD AGAIN ! AMEN. IN THE FATHER , THE SON , THE HOLY GHOST .

  • I love this. I want to know the lyrics.

  • @mbbrown30 Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae,

vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.

ad te clamamus exsules filii Hevae,

ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes

    in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia, ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos

    misericordes oculos ad nos converte;

et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,

    nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.

O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.

  • I wonder why this particular recording got so many views. See: renegoupil . org

  • @Geremia08 School project...

  • The Virgin Mary is my spiritual mother in Heaven because she watches over me and protects from spiritual danger. She's very pleased when i pray the rosary every day.

  • lol how have i changed my stance and contradicted myself? explain that, before i explain anything else

  • Beautiful! And for those coming here to debate, go elsewhere, dont sully this site with childish banter.

  • @EweTube4 Amen, Brother (or Sister, come to that...:):):))!

  • This is a song I wouldn't mind being played at my funeral.

  • y are so many atheists listening to Catholic hymns?

i dont think music about God is very interesting to you

  • @212Leyden

It's some of the world's most beautiful music in one of the most beautiful languages ever. Don't have to believe in God to appreciate that. :)

  • @212Leyden I'm sorry, but you must be very ignorant if you think that Atheists don't care. In fact many Atheists know a lot about the religions around them, and that is why they're Atheist. Music about God does not appeal to me, but something about the beauty in Latin music is amazing.

  • @Brimztoned i know they know

but they only know the bad stuff so they could use it in defending their views, and attacking others' religions

but the good things they ignore

and that is the reason atheists tend to piss me off

  • @212Leyden riiiight, religious people NEVER fucking do that. because we all know christians and jews follow the 'no shellfish' and 'kill your kid if they talk back' rules sooooo strictly.

  • @marinlabyrinth yea, i know we do that, but its not like i deny that we do

but atheists think they know the truth and always talk smack about Catholics

funny thing is, during mass, i've never yet heard the priest say one bad thing about protestants, atheists, muslims, hindus, gays, or anyone else

most catholics are pretty tolerant because in church they don't learn to judge others based on religion

however, atheists look for fights and attack the church at any given opportunity!!

  • @212Leyden atheists believe in not believing right?

  • @sonicboom2885

If that's a serious question that means what I think it means, then you're close. We have no belief in any god or gods. Some of us say there is no deity, some of just lack belief, some of us believe knowledge of him/her/ is impossible and some of us just don't care.

  • @212Leyden

    A) You're attacking atheists and making unfair generalizations.

    B) Many atheists feel the need to actively attack religion because of the harm it does/can do. I don't believe hate or anger solves much, but it's not arbitrary and they're not doing it just to be spiteful.

  • @OrnateDagger I attack atheists just as much as they attack me

if they stopped attacking Catholicism, I'll stop attacking them

and don't give me the bs that im making unfair generalizations because atheists constantly generalize that all Catholic priests are child molesters

I'm just defending my faith, and if anyone says anything bad, I have a right to defend it...

  • @212Leyden

"Don't give me that BS that I'm making unfair generalizations."

"Atheists constantly generalize that all Catholic priests are child molesters."

Generalization about atheists that very strongly implies that we're spiteful, illogical and hateful.

Defend your faith all you like, but perhaps try to imitate Thomas Aquinas: Use logic. Don't just lash out at your opponents and assume they're out to get you.

  • @212Leyden i agree atheists and liberals do the samething they attack christianity and use some of the past transgresstions againts us and ignore the good things the catholic church does for folks in latin america and in africa or the many charitable works in the united states like catholic charitys i dont know which is worst liberals or atheists. notice they rarely attack islam nore muslims for there acts of terrorism around the globe.

  • @212Leyden yeah its true not just atheists that do this liberals are worse at this they attack christianity for the past but they tend forget the many good things chrisntianity does around the world places like africa latin america and the united states with catholic charitys, and other charitable org. not to mention liberals and atheists ten to give a free pass to muslims who are treat women like garbage and committ acts of terrorism around the globe and appress other religions in there region

  • @212Leyden ill leave you with this secularists and communits which are for the most part atheists haved killled more people in history then anyother religion or political movement on earth in the 20th century secularists and communists killed more then 60 million people around the world i dont see atheists brining that up tell them to read up on joseph stalin who was atheists and how many people he killed he killed more then 25 million people but as manty as 50 million people died under stalin.

  • @212Leyden i stand corrected as many as 100 million people died under secularists and commnuists who are mainly people are atheists in the 20th century

  • @jaquino451 exactly, and then people bitch at Catholicism for every little thing, but they somehow never mention Stalin

    ur so smart :)

  • @212Leyden lol no fucker is trying to defend stalin!!!!

  • @viago2 Also, how DARE you tell me that Mary is not my mother and that she has other kids besides Jesus? Who the hell do you think you are? Luke 1:27 "To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. " She's a virgin; how the hell can she have more kids when its not even biblical? Yes, she's my spiritual mother, and that's why the Catholic church honors her. I'm sure Jesus is happy when you Protestants call his mother a whore!

  • @212Leyden omg. leyden, do you know what you have said? where oh where did i call anyone a whore? are you some sort of orphan? does having children make a woman a whore? does your mother sell her ass because she had you? did i say mary wasnt a virgin when she conceived?

calm the fuck down. i didnt insult you, mary, god or jesus, i just dared to tell you the biblical truth. if mary didnt remain the rest of her life in celebacy that dont make her a whore, she was married to a carpenter, big jo

  • @viago2 I stand to defend Mary from Pagans like you, who offend her holiness

Luke 1:48 "For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. " Yea, Catholics call her blessed, but Protestants call her whore and slut. HOW DARE YOU?

  • @212Leyden abraham, peter, paul, and mary were all to be called blessed. this is what the bible says. if you dont like it dont shout at me. catholics are the disgraceful people who disrespect gods chosen and call them whores and sluts. the most holy mary magdalen who was jesus favorite and special disciple (maybe wife) the one he first appeared to, was denegrated pope gregory the great in 591. how evil is that? you think god will forgive him? be careful what you believe. im not anti-catholic

  • @viago2 oops...

sorry for calling you a Pagan

i seriously didn't mean to, I was just so pissed off

    i hope you understand... :(

  • Once more @TwoFeetButcrak, lol bro, funny name.

  • @egarza86, that's always good though. Outside of my prayer life, I'd have to say this version is my least favorite rendition. Its beautiful though of course, nonetheless. And @TwoFootButcrak, the chant or this specific song? Well, as far as I'm not mistaken Gregorian Chant has been around since both of the medieval and Renaissance. And Salve Regina, I'd say prob Renaissance. I could be wrong though!

  • As an atheist I think this should be classified as one of humanity's greatest creative pursuits.

  • @probejoe May God bless you and replace thy doubt with faith.

  • @Marco2003able, yes there are many different versions of how Salve regina is hymned. Umm the one that i know often of should be from the Monastic Choir of the Abbey of Notre-Dame Fontgombault. Hope that helps!

  • @Cappello101 True that...I've heard another version of it and assumed one of them was titled incorrectly...I like this version better, though...

  • tHE TOP two COMMENTS ARE BRILLIANTLY DIFFERENT YET CO-EXISTENT

  • GOD BLESS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, GOD'S CHURCH :)

  • Ben. Get off my dick

  • does anyone know if this "version" (I mean the notes they sing) is the right one? I used to sing this chant, but the notes in some points were different, but probably we were wrong, and this is the right version. Does anyone knows anything about that? Anyway it is very beautiful and .. spiritually quiet, it gives peace, as we are in peace only when we are quiet in God, with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • Halo anyone n?

  • @smokintoken2 Martin O' Donnell is a genius!

  • I sang this at school :)

  • Creepy but beautiful

  • ***Beautiful songs***

  • Porn is nothing more than a perversion of healthy sexuality. It is closer to lust than love, and it leads people to Hell. Sex in its own right is beautiful because it is expressing that a husband loves his wife enough to create a child, but now it is little more than an act of pleasure. Proverbs chapter 5 describes how unhealthy sexuality ends in disaster.

  • @AlexKenas "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" John 8:7

Although you night not watch porn, you definately have done something bad in your life.

  • @ILD2014 All people are not without sin. Even Jesus questioned God at Gethsmane and Golgotha.

  • Comment removed

  • @AlexKenas

Jesus questioned God? Are you certain about that?

  • @Liujin20 During his crucifixion, Jesus asked God why he had forsaken him. I do read the Bible often.

  • @AlexKenas

If you read it often, then I'm sure you must know that what Jesus was doing was merely alluding to Psalm 22, which prophesied the coming and suffering of the Messiah.

  • @Liujin20 I have read that psalm, but Jesus had an internal conflict with his human and devine sides. Bear in mind that he was also part human, and therefore; subjected to earthly temptations. He prevailed, but he struggled to overcome them like every other human.

  • @ILD2014 so that makes it okay for you to put forth scandal by posting your comment on this beautiful video's comments? NOW you quote the bible?! Get off the fence. We are merely standing up to show that it is NOT Catholic to make light of such a grievous sin and still claim to be Catholic. You should seek to be corrected instead of making excuses! If you want to confess, do it to your priest, instead of looking for thumbs up from people who agree with your lack of virtue.

  • Is there a specific title for that painting of Mary?

  • I'm damn near an Atheist but listening to Gregorian Chants makes me feel something "spiritual". One of the most beautiful sounds ever made by man.

  • @RandomShellAccount they are prayers after all..
