The problem here is that the video is very obviously cut from a lot of tries to only show the few times where this strategy excels; for it to work, it requires large teams, very stupid enemy players, a lack of knockback (particularly smart pyros) on the other team & a dose of luck. A smart team just backs off when the medics uber and knocks them back until their uber runs out, then kills them both. While fun, it's not long-term viable in any way; you'll never chain more than a few ubers.

We know it exists. Some of us just prefer increasing the power of our ambushes. I've gotten plenty of kills just by coming in from unexpected directions and back-burning people.

There are levels where I take the standard flamethrower, because there are no good backstab points. CTF maps, mainly. But the Backburner is *essential* for almost every Payload map.

Sure, you may get kills faster, but is it worth it? I main Pyro, and I just can't imagine going out without my Flamethrower. When you learn the timing, it becomes so natural that you rarely have to think about it. Extinguishing your Medic during a push might just save the game. Soldiers become so little of a threat (most of them, anyway) and you can turn their own weapon against them ( I have killed Medics before with their own buddy's kritzed rocket). ---

--- Spies can be pushed away before they can get thier sapper off. Running Scouts can be stopped dead in their tracks. Snipers can be forced to taste thier own pee. Hell, if you are good, you can even rocket jump (I personally can't, but some people do). The possibilities are endless. Is it really worth trading that for extra crits? The Flamethrower has plenty of killing power when you really need to just spray.

I am Brazilian and I do live in Brazil, but I've lived in america for 13 months, so I speak fluent english and I don't see why shouldnt I enjoy the american servers, since my whole clan is made out of americans / UK ^_^

Lag is a downside though. I can't see it, but if I melee someone it takes half a second for them to fall down and die. Thats annoying specially with the spy, since I get a lot of glitchy backstabs.
