Its really sad that what this world has come to looks are becoming everything toe I mean sure who doesnt want to be beautiful out going but each of us as individual human beings have to realize that not everyone looks speaks the same way... Why cant we teach our kids that it is not okay to bully each other in school because later on in life it is going to be health issue for others and im not only speaking of apperance but
Arie Winograde " i dont think people who dont have bdd, dont understand it ". YUP. Absolutely true. Bdd is a living hell, i was diagnosed with it 6 years, and have avoidant personality disorder, major depression and agoraphobia because of it. Ive been on medications for 6 years, and ive gotten ALOT better. People who talk shit about BDD, i would love to see you try and live with it.
i have BDD its sucks i think im going to lose my friends over this when they do get me out the house i catch anxiety attacks ..they get so annoyed with me
Hi. I am a south east Asian guy. I have BDD and still suffering from it....... I don't have this disorder when I was in my country... I got this disease here in an ENGLISH LAND called UNITED SATES OF AMERICA.........yes, it is very PAINFUL...
It seems they keep changing the symtoms of BDD they say perfectly normal looking people suffer from this.Well some people can be diagnosed with it and told plastic surgery will not benefit them because its their perception of themseleves. But I dissagree I can tell who looks ugly or good looking and if someone wants to improve their looks the doctors assumption that surgery will not benefit is an obstuction. They lack reasoning doctors follow their song sheets they don't do common sense.

@LarissaLIBERTY ive been diagnosed w/bdd, and i think he did, i mean when he was little his brothers would always pick on him about his nose. I think he is prly one of the more extreme cases
i thought about Michael Jackson when i started watching about BDD, thought maybe he had this illness, sounds like he could have been the posterchild for BDD...
Just accept your ugly people, its not so hard , we werent all born to be supermodels. Accept it and move on. Be something else. Be the best at what you can be and remember that you might not be the best looking but your probably healthier and smarter than a lot of people. Ive had all these conditions for years but I learned to move on. Beauty isnt a key to happiness and even if it is it can be swept away in a second. Money is the way to happiness. Make money, buy shit, buy peoples dignity :D
fuck you do you have this symptom??? Do you know how hard it is to live this down?? This disease is getting in the way of everything in my life I'M NOT MYSELF ANYMORE. But all you can think about is how we whine and should get over it. You don't know the pain that we go through. You will never know...
wot if u're actually ugly like me ? like i see nothing but faults + every1 ive met agreeswith me about them + only says it's not that bad 2 mak me feel better
Suffering from BDD is extremely difficult, you try to overcome it but its so hard. You basically want to live like a hermit and want nothing to do with people, especially the opposite sex (from my experience). I harbor this hatred of people. And all of those procedures (been there, done that) never helped, nothing has changed because I still feel the same
I'm so happy I've found so much info on BDD on the internet. i thought I was alone with this. I hate it, but seeing things like this makes me realise that my perception of myself could be wrong and it helps slightly. I still hate looking at myself tho, I wish there was some way to get over it completely.
I too have BDD and as a result I basically live a hermit type lifestyle. It is so bad that I had anxiety attacks before job interviews and have had to go on Disability.
I know how you feel- I'm a realtor & I have not worked in over a month. It's crippling me personally, professionally. I'm getting help & everyone needs it who has it. I feel there is no way to beat this without help. Take care.
Wow.. that was really good. It's good to see that BDD is in the news (even though I believe it should be even more) because the few people that i've told about my BDD have no idea what it is and have never heard of it.

Soooo weak. Even a man who has nothing can still offer his life. A man is not judged by his gifts but by his actions.

You will never know. It is like discrimination towards a race. Unless you are that race you will never know the pain...

There are different levels of BDD some people can function in society with relatively normal lives and then there are others that can't yet like me.
