  • Arie Winograde " i dont think people who dont have bdd, dont understand it ". YUP. Absolutely true. Bdd is a living hell, i was diagnosed with it 6 years, and have avoidant personality disorder, major depression and agoraphobia because of it. Ive been on medications for 6 years, and ive gotten ALOT better. People who talk shit about BDD, i would love to see you try and live with it.

  • I am convinced there is no god because such a horrible thing like BDD exists.

  • i have to BDD it sucks so effin much

  • bdd is so crippling...i hate it, i wish i didnt care about how i looked and what i saw but the mirror constantly taunts..

  • i have BDD what i find useful is to avoid mirrors and cameras all together, as best you can. just stay the hell away from them.

  • what freaks me out is if i'm dysmorphic about the way i look, what else am i dysmporphic about? lol

  • I have schizo I think it started with bdd.

  • i have BDD its sucks i think im going to lose my friends over this when they do get me out the house i catch anxiety attacks ..they get so annoyed with me

  • It seems they keep changing the symtoms of BDD they say perfectly normal looking people suffer from this.Well some people can be diagnosed with it and told plastic surgery will not benefit them because its their perception of themseleves. But I dissagree I can tell who looks ugly or good looking and if someone wants to improve their looks the doctors assumption that surgery will not benefit is an obstuction. They lack reasoning doctors follow their song sheets they don't do common sense.

  • It sound like Michael Jackson's situation. Would people still taunt him it they knew he had a severe mental disorder?

  • you know what.

    I actually thought about a lot .

it wouldnt really surprise me if he had bdd...relly wouldnt

  • @LarissaLIBERTY ive been diagnosed w/bdd, and i think he did, i mean when he was little his brothers would always pick on him about his nose. I think he is prly one of the more extreme cases

  • i thought about Michael Jackson when i started watching about BDD, thought maybe he had this illness, sounds like he could have been the posterchild for BDD...

  • fuck you do you have this symptom??? Do you know how hard it is to live this down?? This disease is getting in the way of everything in my life I'M NOT MYSELF ANYMORE. But all you can think about is how we whine and should get over it. You don't know the pain that we go through. You will never know...

  • Soooo weak. Even a man who has nothing can still offer his life. A man is not judged by his gifts but by his actions.

  • You will never know. It is like discrimination towards a race. Unless you are that race you will never know the pain...

  • wot if u're actually ugly like me ? like i see nothing but faults + every1 ive met agreeswith me about them + only says it's not that bad 2 mak me feel better

  • Suffering from BDD is extremely difficult, you try to overcome it but its so hard. You basically want to live like a hermit and want nothing to do with people, especially the opposite sex (from my experience). I harbor this hatred of people. And all of those procedures (been there, done that) never helped, nothing has changed because I still feel the same

  • you described me to a tee.

  • It's hard, but I'm sure you know how difficult it is

  • I suffer from BDD and I didnt know

I found out some weeks ago.

I have all the symptoms and the Compulsive behaviors, like checking myself in the mirror all the time...

    but i cant make treatment....

  • I'm so happy I've found so much info on BDD on the internet. i thought I was alone with this. I hate it, but seeing things like this makes me realise that my perception of myself could be wrong and it helps slightly. I still hate looking at myself tho, I wish there was some way to get over it completely.

  • i feel the same way. i am also glad =]

  • I too have BDD and as a result I basically live a hermit type lifestyle. It is so bad that I had anxiety attacks before job interviews and have had to go on Disability.

  • I know how you feel- I'm a realtor & I have not worked in over a month. It's crippling me personally, professionally. I'm getting help & everyone needs it who has it. I feel there is no way to beat this without help. Take care.

  • There are different levels of BDD some people can function in society with relatively normal lives and then there are others that can't yet like me.

  • Wow.. that was really good. It's good to see that BDD is in the news (even though I believe it should be even more) because the few people that i've told about my BDD have no idea what it is and have never heard of it.
