The sad part about wars is that they are all economically caused. In the 1930s the banks spawned the depression which in turn caused ww2. Today we have the same madness with the global banking meltdown. Maybe it will take a ww3 to end selfish politcal infighting and get global cooperation to end poverty, pollution, exploitation, religious zealotry, and corrupt economic systems.
Japan got what it deserved. They tortured and killed innocent people in every Country that they invaded. The US rebuilt Japan and now the US protects it.They should be grateful that the US didn't treat it the same way that it treated other Countries that it invaded

Watch the videos from Chinese about what the Japanese were like back then- they were not the peaceful people they are today. This was an EMPIRE trying to expand and conquer the world, and they didn't care who they killed to do it. They are no5t totally innocent in this scenario. But hopefully the world can learn by example and look to the West and Japan to avoid this from ever happening again.
I've been to the A-bomb dome/museum in Hiroshima, so I do have a fuller understanding of the history. It's easy to second guess the actions. The Japanese needed to capitulate and at the time there was no response after Hiroshima. Also keep in mind that both targets were warned through leaflet drops and both were valid military targets. War is hell...just ask any people from any nation that were part of it. For sure...the A-Bombs prevented many more casualties than it caused.
