  • This was funny, wrong audience though.

  • haha 6:24 we got a lot of jews.

  • @taylorbran123 I thought he said that too, but as an afterthought, I realised it was “a lot of juice”.

But “Jews” would have been hilarious. XD

  • :52

  • thats nice

  • dead ass liberal croud that cant laugh at its self and dont laugh till u talk about drugs.... ha ha way to run a country

  • @Alliedtonone It's sad how bang on you are.

  • @Alliedtonone theres no way reagan or bush's crowd would have been more appreciative of norm, they wouldn't have gotten any of his stuff

  • Boring.

  • Yes, I know.

  • He's funny.

  • I love Norm, but I don't get why people have to put down anyone who doesn't "get him".

  • @blurrybigfoot74

Cause sadly lots of idiot watch comedy and take every joke to the first degree...therefore when they see a guy like Norm they just don't get it.

  • Please god let Mac Donald roast Obama. I'd kill to watch people have to be uncomfortable through something like this. I know he's something of an acquired taste, but for once, let's just skip the self-congratulatory smugness of the Daily Show set, which come to think of it wouldn't be much of a roast.

  • Miserable

  • wrong f*cking crowd

  • NORM NORM NORM NORM NORMMMMMM I LOVE YOUUUUUUU

  • This is fucking incredible.

  • Who's the guy at 2:00?

  • Shit on em Norm!

  • Genius. Love how he thrives on audience rejection.

  • someone count how many times he says "ya know"

  • Seriously, this guys jokes are genius...if you dont get it, its simple...you dont have a high comedy IQ

  • 9:14 Tony Blankley

  • this is norm's shtick , its great!

  • so he jokingly makes bad jokes? reminds me of tim heidecker

  • the joke at 6:45 was amazing lol

  • Where is part 2 of 1? 0,o

  • That Democrats serving subpoenas bit was hilarious.

  • Quite frankly, this crowd needs to settle down. They are raucous and out-of-hand.

  • 2 parts comedy, 3 parts social commentary, 5 parts timing.

  • didn't Dangerfield say " I don't know " a lot?

  • New drinking game: take a shot every time he says "you know".

  • @sturroma I counted 51

  • The Boris Yeltin secret service bit just fucking did me in. I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes just from the way Norm punched it in.

  • norm loves to make people uncomfortable its funny to him one of the greatest of all time

  • Clinton's reaction to that inhale comment is proof that he smoked the shit out of that weed. Well done, sir.

  • @deviljon Christopher Hitchens said that he knows for sure that Bill didn't inhale (they were at Oxford together) because he was allergic to the smoke... But he definitely ate some brownies! So, basically, he wasn't lying when he said he didn't inhale. :D

  • poor Norm, time to retire from comedy

  • @tubedudeT2000 I don't think you actually understand Norm's style. He wants to creates those awkward moments. He intentionally makes the cheesy awkward jokes to get the crowds reaction. He does it just as much for his own enjoyment as he does it for the audience.

  • They stepped in to help!! LoL!!

  • I love his awkward style .. he's genius is in his delivery.. aquired taste..

  • norm.......sucks

  • @newt0830 you......take it up the ass

  • Norm is beast with his awkward style of comedy hahaha. He has balls. This will only get funnier over time.legend

  • @CRITIKCK I agree 100% he is the funniest person on SNL in the mid 90's because of Weekend Update. His delivery on those jokes, whether he wrote them all or not, is priceless. Sometimes it's even funniest when people don't get it and he just pauses and stares...lol.

  • @JakeGraceAndGlory yeah hahaha

  • Note Clinton's reaction compared to Bush's roast by Colbert.

  • He's so dry I need a glass of water. I love it.

  • I really appreciate this mans brand of ultra dry, spiteful, and self deprecating humour.

  • 121 people...were in that room.

  • @ripster8675 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Idiot.

  • @ripster8675 I dont think a crack head like Flav would be asked to roast the president.

  • @ripster8675 Thats the best thing about intellectual jokes and clever comedy, it show the rest of us who the dumb-asses are.

  • @TomEire1 YEP... LIKE YOU

    IDIOT

  • His lack of jokes, IS his jokes. Obviously most of you don't get him. He's not for everyone, but those who do appreciate his act, laugh out loud !!! Maybe Howie Mandel is more your speed.

  • @badgirlpinto1 well put

I once heard him do a 30 second joke, but he took 5 minutes

some people think Family Guy is funny. I dont get that. at all

Reminds me of the time blah blah blah, blah blah blah................Thats family guy to me

  • @badgirlpinto1 By that standard, everyone is funny. Just say people don't get your supposed jokes.

  • @badgirlpinto1 thats right. i think people who watch a lot of stand up like him

  • Comment removed

  • This audience finds humor in lynchings, not good-natured humor.

  • @KindlyStrong Its a roast, not "This is your Life", its what they do at roasts.

Hardly a lynching. This set is very, very tame when compared to The Roast of Charlie Sheen or David Hasselhoff, or any of the Comedy Central roasts, for that matter.

  • you know?

  • You know he's laughing looking out at all those stiffs not reacting.

  • @poopyscoopy5 Yeah but you can tell it's the kind of laugh that clearly says "wtf am l doing here surrounded by all those stuck up people who don't even understand half of my jokes".

  • He doesn't give a shit haha

  • You can always tell when Norm is going to be at his best when he has that mad gleam in his eye...he doesn't quite have it here. And he can't be filthy here either.

  • zzzZZZZZZ

  • "You must inhale in order to get better, Mr President." Hilarious.

  • These old fucks in politics don't get the dry wit humor of Norm. It's all about the TIMING folks.

  • 2:00 Im not impressed atall good sir

  • norm can be funny but this wasn't it... jokes are not great...

  • I love that dry delivery. I really wish when stations like Fox News were covering Stephen Colbert's correspondence dinner and bashing him for being disrespectful someone had pulled out this clip on them. It is amazing how much alike both parties are. Even in the comments here, folks with subscriptions to Liberal Viewer, Young Turks, etc are saying how much Norm sucks while their conservative counterparts are leaving similar comments about Colbert on the YouTube video of him doing the same stuff.

  • Vanfecto...please post something funny or else just take the 5 cocks out of your mouth because we really didn't understand your statement. #senseofhumor

  • bunch of stiffs in that room,,,not all ...but norm is brilliant here

  • 2 fucking funny

  • Senator Kennedy got up on one knee. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • THE COFFEE JOKE WAS AWESOME! WAY TO GO NORM. YOU ARE THE MAN FOR MAKING THAT JOKE!!!!!

  • his laugh between jokes is great.

  • Norm MacDonald is hilarious

  • Not the best by norm, some funny bits though

  • Not his best stuff

  • I didnt know him before i saw him on high stakes poker, and he wasnt close to Gabe kaplan

  • Norm macDonald's comedy is like a high wire act. His verbage and delivery make him seem not too brilliant, but in his meanderings, just when you think he's going to fall, there are flashes of brilliance.

  • This schmoozing between politicians and the press should not even exist. This annual event should be permanently canceled due to sudenly discovered ethics.

  • I love Norm MacDonald, but this was truly awkward and uncomfortable; not his crowd.

  • @gcahn2 .....making it awkward is part of the joke.....

  • @gcahn2 Career politicians are sheep, pure and simple. When the camera is on them, watch them and you will see them look to their betters, look to Clinton. They do that because they want to be sure it is okay to laugh or applaud. Nobody wants to laugh and look over to see their boss glaring. To be fair, it is a job where minor foibles can get you destroyed by the US media so their fear is somewhat warranted.

  • robin williams is great as a character and a amazing entertainer but norm is much more well rounded he has a unique comedy that works if not a fan watch his latest sstand up bet you watch the whole flick

  • I love Norm but this was a horror show, salvaged by not only how little he cared he was bombing, but by how much he enjoyed it.

  • you should call this part 1/2....so people dont get confused

  • i love norm but this is fucking horrible

  • @Dan69WasTaken i think he was being very dry and serious not trying to joke but trash the gov.

  • part 1/1..necessary?

  • a room full of uncomfortable laughter... this man could not give less of a fuck.

  • @povynoif009999 He knew he was bombing; he kept saying I'm nervous, but who am I. What's he gonna say? What can he say? Just get through the material and salvage as much dignity as possible.

  • Ya know?

  • Bill Clinton lovesssss to get high

  • I actually thought this kinda sucked. I was disappointed. I suppose my expectations were heightened after watching Stephen Colbert do it.

  • @PinprickSociety It may also be that, while you really disliked Bush you may have really liked Clinton (or disliked him less), thus, find jokes aimed at him to be less funny or biting overall. I think they were equivalent performances, both sort of ribbing the government among nervous laughs. Obviously, when you throw politics in then more liberal folks will dislike Norm here and prefer Colbert and vica versa. Alternately, you may not like Norm. He is an acquired taste for sure.

  • 6:20. "We got a lot of power here. A lotta Jews." Sneaky Macdonald...

  • Killed

  • I didn't know Larry Flint and Bill Clinton were close, makes sense though.

  • God damn tough growd. This dude is a fucking cemedic genius!

  • WEAK! unless you like the phrase "y'know" a lot.

  • Norm MacDonald sucks. Straight up denounced his Canadian citizenship because we didn't join the illegal American war on terror.

  • @DannyReggin While I feel compelled to disagree with you out of my love for Norm, I am disturbed to hear this.

  • @DannyReggin Wikipedia said that Norm confirmed he was joking about that in a later interview, actually. I think he is still technically a Canadian citizen. Much like when Alec Baldwin said he would expatriate if Bush Jr won the election back in 2000 (or maybe 3004, I forget, but it was a big story). One of those things you say off the cuff but don't actually do from the sound of it.

  • I think you meant to write part 1/2, not part 1/1.

  • a man who slept with his own wife... one of the oldest jokes in the book.

  • he's ridiculously good looking.

  • Love the Boris jokes hahaha

  • I normally like Norm but I didn't laugh at anything he said here. :/

  • Tough crowd!

  • snobs

  • This is just a perfect example of the kind of people who are in politics.... so self-important and egotistical that they have no sense of humor, and so concerned about their image that they don't want to laugh at something unless the rest of the room is too.

  • Terry Murphy...balding homosexual

  • wow this is a tough crowd.

  • Man.... Norm has balls!

  • 03:15 oh hello Obama. just chilling.

  • Stop hacking the audience just because they didn't enjoy every joke. Maybe they just didn't like it. I don't take myself too seriously, and I do know what irony is - but I didn't laugh that much either.

  • He broke out into a big frozen smile lol

  • You know?

  • 4:03

  • 3:15 Bill was the shit

  • youtube.com/watch?v=buSv1jjAels jokes about obama/biden at the end if you can understand his english!!

  • Everyone gather round at 5:40 and watch Dan Rather laugh like a wiggling granny

  • Bill's having a good time...He's always having a good time. Btw--Norm killed!

  • yea..Norm MacDonald is not funny...as usual...ONLY time I've ever seen him as mildly chuckle worthy...is when he played the man-whore on European Gigalo

  • @akotr3mor Great point.. But don't forget to factor in the fact that you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

  • @smithersandburns oh I'm sorry, you must be from an era where you can be mildly retarded and be considered funny whereas I came from an era where you actually had to be funny to be given the title of "comic". If you're idea of "funny" is dry nonsensical jokes that only he himself can laugh at or takes 5 minutes to get...then you my friend have no sense of humor whatsoever. Don't be mad because I don't jump on the bandwagon and consider this dumbass funny

  • @akotr3mor You're problem has nothing to do with eras, it's that you are too stupid to appreciate Norm MacDonald. Who do you think is funny? Dane Cook?

  • youre a godamn moron if you dont think norm macdonald is funny

  • @Vanfecto Uhh No, he is not funny. He sucks.

  • @BravoLimaKilo Moron says what?

  • @Vanfecto Well if you think norm is funny "you know" and um "you know" .....He can be mildly funny on occasion but with too many awkward moments..."you know"....Count how many time he says "you know" ...i had to stop 5 minutes in i could not take anymore...

  • @hellasow its part of the reason why he's so good. he does it on purpose, its part of the delivery, makes it sound more natural than just reading straight from the script...

  • @Vanfecto

    Yes my friend! Yes!

  • @Vanfecto I love how a lot of people in the audience don't laugh. It shows me they don't get it or they are too stuffy to laugh. He IS HILARIOUS!

  • @Vanfecto You're the moron for not offering anything interesting to the conversation. You are evil and God hates you. If you don't believe in God then whatever celestial force hates you. Because you have NOTHING to off to the conversation, You say what is obvious. Everyone would have known what had to say. Basically you as a human being are a horrible person.

  • @Vanfecto no they just have different taste than you

  • @smithersandburns think again numb nuts; Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams...these were genius'...Norm MacDonald only seems to appeal to the retarded and senseless

  • @akotr3mor If you like Robin Williams and don't like Norm MacDonald, clearly your personality is cheesy and terrible. I guarantee you are not funny at all yourself and like dumb shit.

  • @smithersandburns Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. To angrily tease, bash and berate someone based on their taste in humor, is a bit boorish. I on the other band enjoyed this roast.

  • @CrissFFH That guy didn't just state his opinion, he pretentiously acted like he was an authority on what is funny. And he is really far from that. So that is why he deserved a verbal smack down.

  • @smithersandburns Ah i see... Well, carry one ^^

  • @smithersandburns What?! I happen to be a fan of both of them. They aren't opposites, or enemies. it's not like you can enjoy one person that is different from another that you can't enjoy another.

  • @06stephend No, they are definitely opposites. I'm not saying it's not possible to like them both but you like them for different reasons. Robin Williams puts on a strong cheesy, needy vibe of "I'm saying something funny right now, you should think this is funny" while he's not actually saying anything funny. Norm doesn't give a fuck if you like him, he puts that vibe out there, meanwhile he says tons of subtley much funnier things that dumb people don't pick up on.

  • @smithersandburns

Oh, shut up and sit down. Nobody needs to hear your preaching. In an earlier comment you say "he pretentiously acted like he was an authority on what is funny" and then you do the exact same thing.

  • @grands1am Well then what are you doing right now? Somehow your post is different? You pretentiously deem yourself an authority on deciding who should shut up and sit down. And the sit down part doesn't make any sense anyway. Nobody types standing up. Please kill yourself.

The first guy has a low level sense of humor and didn't know what the fuck he was talking about. I was just informing him of that. He doesn't understand why Norm is funny, doesn't get it.

  • @smithersandburns

People preach standing up. Go back and read your posts. I was pointing out your hypocrisy. I'm not going to do this anymore on a very funny video.

  • @grands1am Yeah, well the kind of "preaching" you claim I'm doing couldn't possibly involve standing since I'm using a computer and already seated. Maybe try telling someone lie down on the floor next time.

And no shit you were pointing out my hypocrisy. Then I pointed out your hypocrisy as well since by criticizing me you're doing the same thing I was doing to the original guy. Which shows that all criticisms involve an element of that. That point was lost on you though.

  • @smithersandburns

    Good Lord, man. No.

  • @grands1am No what?

  • he really let them old uptight dickwads have it!!! legend!

  • @smithersandburns G E OR G E CA R LIN

  • @boatofcoins, In my opinion,

George has had his EPIC moments, but I think norm has been far funnier on average.

Norm's delivery is far funnier. George's specialty is speed and accuracy, whereas I feel Norm has better timing, and has the rare ability to be funny without really trying.

I guess it's pointless to argue about taste though.

  • @akotr3mor the retarded and senseless dont even understand how funny norm macdonad is. retarded and senseless ppl laugh when comedians look or sound like they are saying something funny (dane cook anyone??). norm relies on his material 100%. If you are too dumb and senseless to pick up on his dry wit good riddance. pryor could kill you with his material or his presentation or both. norm sticks to his material. both are among the greats

  • thanks for letting us know that this is part 1/1. i hope i can't find the other parts.

  • Everybody in that audience should die. I fucking hate people that take their existence too seriously. Fuck them.

  • It's tough doing comedy in front of politicians. If you accidentally tell the wrong joke, it just might be true and become a scandal in no time.

  • if he says ''you know'' one more time...

  • norm is the best!!

  • This reminds of when I saw the late, great Bill Hicks in a comedy club back around 1991 or so. Hicks was just laying it down, but almost all of it was flying right over the crowd's head and I was one of three or four people cracking up amidst a sea of uncomfortable silence.

Norm is not Hicks, of course. But he had some very good bits in this clip. The crowd is just too dietary fiber-challenged to make it work.

  • @juiceforjoe lol

  • Norm McDonald is a random hero.

  • @MrButterjam I know I noticed.

  • He really bombed here!

  • @BKKaye No, the audience bombed!

  • One of the key elements of telling a joke is finishing it
