It will not always happen but it is a good sign when an archer gets a clean pass through. #1You know that you definately got enough penetration #2 you found your arrow #3 The annimal will generally bleed out faster, and be far easier to track if it comes to that.

I've got to hide up in a tree, with a laser pointer bow and a rope on the string so I don't hurt my fingers.... I'm still a firm believer if you want to hunt deer you should use a spear. That's real sport, this is like fishing with dynamite.

I once accidentally killed a deer at full sprint with a pellet rifle at 60 yards once ( my friend said to shoot at the deer, I did, it flipped over, I felt terrible) he thought it was awesome. Go figure. Anyway, overkill.

i love deer hunting but depending on where he is (state wise) this is illegal. he has to tag his first deer before he can hunt, shoot, kill the next one... even if you haven't left your stand and another deer walks up.... and even if you have two doe tags... but like i said i mainly hunt in Ohio and Michigan so in those states what he just did is illegal. =/ Maybe it is different where he lives.
