@ih8faggots1000 you are not educated. And i do not mean college, because college does not determine true education. You are just a primitive minded idiot bound for extinction
@ih8faggots1000 No, that is a statement based on your opinion. Freedom is liberal, america is founded on individual liberty, hence liberalism. You are not very well informed, and extremely hateful.
@ih8faggots1000 Well that is your opinion, all politicians are in someone else's pocket. Believe me I am not a fan of liberalism, which is why I reject protestantism, it is liberal LOL.
@ih8faggots1000 In some senses ya probably, but in the sense of individual liberty and having no state religion. If you really think republicans are "better" or even the lesser of two evils then you are gravely mistaken. We are fascists since economic policy is dictated by big business.
@ih8faggots1000 I have no idea, I don't care either. But the fact remains that the founding fathers were liberals who believed in individual liberty, which is liberal. Seriously, even the pledge, which was written by a socialist, is very liberal. Conservatives have hijacked Christ and tried to make america something it never was, and I am not saying I agree with them in any way but those are the facts.
@ih8faggots1000 Actually no it is not. The founding fathers built this country on individual liberty, these guys were deists, and in some cases atheists. They did not found this country on Christianity, as their treaty of Tripoli clearly states. This was the first liberal country founded, a product of the enlightenment, that is a well established fact.
That was the best concert I've been to so far (out of 9, all different bands at the concerts). The energy in there was nothing like I've ever experienced anywhere else. But I still remember seeing all the riot police outside before the show. Me and my buddy left taking the 394 exit ramp from the parking ramp (had school the next day and didn't feel the need to be arrested that night).
Umm.... I dont know what show you went to in Mpls. suzpekt0 But that is the same show I recorded at the Target center and its the same clthes those fellas wore when they tried to play a show in St. Paul at a rally that got shut down and they played bulls on parade on a Bullhorn, So Yeah be peaceful but not passive.
Nah - they've always been here. THey need US - we all need each other to ACT not as music lovers, to push the movement way past ipod, concerts and fuckin records. dont get me wrong, I love Rage, and was side by side brother and sister at the DNC in 08, but I have to say that if we had been more powerful against the Iraq war during the Bush years, more revolutionary... I feel like the reunion was out of desperation - that we needed to be encouraged once again to RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!
Zack, Timmy, Brad and Tom - you are so needed right now it's unbelievable. These guys have so much positive influance on this generation - and I am forever greatfull for the kickass rebel jams they lay down!!!
"hey look a pig on a horse, who would've thought?"
Man i heard that one so much during the DNC last year!! Man I bet the atmosphere at the RNC was just incredibly tense. Anti-Flag and RATM? Now that's some inspiration.
Same here.....But the Alpine Valley show on August 24, 2007 was the best!!!! The built up energy and anticipation was so insane among the band and every fan on that hill that night!!!
I was there, it was a pretty good show. Bombtrack in the orange jump suits and hoods was great. Musically they were a little off most of the night compared to past shows but who cares? The "riots" after were created by being confronted with helicopters and horses in gas masks, messed up.
I Was in awe of the talent of those four musicians!I wonder if the police were thinking the same? I Don't think so. Those poor souls-I know they were just doing there jobs but they were way OVERKILL!!!!
I bet they had over 200 policeman total at one point. I went to Minneapolis all the way from Illinois and seeing all those cops was unbelievable. A friend lightened the mood when we saw the cavalry of officers though, and he said, "hey look a pig on a horse, who would've thought?" Best show of my life.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ed Vedder and Pearl Jam along with Bruce Springsteen and other artists I can't really think of right now failed at voting in Kerry in the last election. It seems as though the Democrats hired RATM for this "reunion" to get the Democrats back in office.
You couldn't be more wrong... Consider the fact that they protested at the DNC this year and as well as in 2000, where there were actual riots and tear gas dispursed throughout the crowd. They hate our 2 party system as we all should!
I fundamentlay disagree with everything that RATM stands for. But I would die for thier right to say what they want, you can't suppress freedom and dissenion.
everyone was peaceful. there was no riot. yet there will still 105 arrests after the show. what is wrong with my country? its our constitutional right to be pissed off at whoever the fuck we want. that was a great show, and a great speech. it is obvious to me that we concert-goers can show more discipline than those riot police.
@LiBlub1 your an ignorant fuck who probibly hasn't read the constitution or your just talkin out of your ass... either help make our country better or STFU and get the fuck out, im sick of hereing ignorant bastards bitch and moan from the couch when you dont know shit about shit
Seriously thank God he said that. I agree with him totally, It's awesome if you want to raise your voice up and say what you want to say. Thats our constitutional right, but once people or cops get violent at all it just makes everything bad. It just turns into one big mess. Thank you Zack!
Thanks to Zack for the closing statement. We would have tore the city down if there was a call for it. Not to mention everyone there was as nervous as the cops. Thanks for the non violent aproach. It saved a lot of good people from getting very hurt that night. And by the way most everyone kept their cool, it was a proven fact we are more disipline. I have to agree with StopMKold though, this country is on a brink. To what end is up to us now. RATM soundtrack for our revolution.
non violence is the only way to go, anything else just gives them an excuse to give the sheeple on the nightly news as to why force was used. but people aren't going to keep being oppressed in this country much longer. everybody you talk to nowadays are pissed off and sick of the cops and the power trip and the war and the lies. the evil is so blatant and inescapable, somethings gotta give. good people will always strive for justice and freedom, they always have and they always will. God bless
This speech saved alot of trouble on the streets, thats for sure. Without Zach saying this i think alot more shit wouldve went down than what did go down.

You are probably the dumbest motherfucker I have ever heard of.
Do you know anything?
Can you read?
Can your simple, small, closed off and lonely pathetic mind even begin to hear the messages of RATM?
I bet you really don't know what the hell he's saying do you? Have you ever listened to RATM?
Have you ever worked for your money, or do mommy and daddy spoon feed you from their table of plenty?
