What is interresting in this film is that Walker is just a normal guy. He's not like a secret agent and he has no knowledges in french. So in a time where Paris was darker and less welcoming, he's really confronted at himself excepted with the help of Michelle. I was sad to see her die,
I love the end track in this movie but it doesn't appear to be on the soundtrack. Always annoys me when it's on tv cos the feckers always talk over it. Grrrrrrr
-rewatching this remind me why I love Polanski soo much and why I got not just into his films but films in general. love the emanuelle seigner charachter and ford's one as well. very underrated film this and death and the maiden as well as the tenant are great polanski films
Don't like the ending that much though. Not sure why, guess I expected something bigger. Well, not really bigger, it just wasn't satisfying for me. Can't put my finger on it.
But loved the rest of the movie. Harrison Ford was really good in this.
Thanks for uploading, I've been wanting to see that for a while.
What a bitter end... loved to see this movie again, i watched this movie in the mid' 90's and honestly I didn't know roman polanski capabilities BACK THEN, but after i've seen the pianist svral yrs ago & finally found this clip of the frantic movie.. then realising that this is his movie, now i know why this movie is so good, added by ennio morricone orchestra, a complete artistic achievement....the feeling of LOST is so felt when they're leaving Paris, And only Polanski and Morricone can do it
Yeah, the end credits were so relaxing I shit my pants.
Man that french chick.. you see how hairy her eyebrows were.. she must have a seriously hairy cunt! You just have to stick your dick in the hairy patch and feel for the wet squishy part.
Here something strange from me. I watch this movie at least twice a month on...FRIDAYS!!! I get my chineses food, grab some wine relax on the couch(sometimes with my girlfriend) and enjoy the hell outta this movie!

Nearly ten minutes of shootings and the Parisian police never appeared. Talk about chauvinism, American bias.

A CLASSIC!!!!! And a great score too and the way it's "laced" with Grace Jones really captures that time period well

Not one of Polanski's best! Rather laboured with not much to say. Definately not a piece of art.

@narayana1888 Piece of fart, I would say... Thinly-plotted, badly-acted, and boy, did it drag...

I love how he calls Michelle "baby" and later he says to his wife "I love you, baby". Too late, I guess.

I know this sounds lame, but I love watching the end credits- the scene on the freeway watching the credits roll by makes me feel relaxed.

Didn't Polanski work on a film called the penist?
