  • They really made Lamont an ungrateful little prick. Are there any episodes where Fred throws him a beating?

  • Comment removed

  • "They'll put a cap on your head and a broom in your hand." LMAO

  • I love when Lamont does his serious voice

  • @gale31 I second that! lol

  • "I call them as I see them, dummy"

    Lamont is a BIGGG Dummy!!!

  • A gravy train filled with biscuits! LMAO!

  • Where did the center island in the kitchen come from? Never seen that before.

  • Taking me back. I use to watch these old reruns when I was a kid.

  • put a cap on yo head and a broom in yo hand lol

  • lol what is up with all the salt :43 to :45

  • Lamont was a jive turkey sometimes. Fred should have told him to cook his own damn breakfast.

  • looks like a plate of dippety doo

    that really gets me

  • It's a wonder Lamont didn't turn into a serial killer or the dopeman because of Fred LOL

  • Can anyone "in the know" tell me if the actor who plays Lamont is still living and if so,what is he doing these day's.I just realized he was in not 1 All in the Family episodes, but 2.Him and another well known charactor actor was the thiefs that robbed Morgans Jewelry Store, but Lamont was in another episode when

Mike,Gloria, and Archie was looking for a house in the Bronx, and they were riding a subway, and the black guy behind Mike and Gloria was preaching his anti-establishment speech.Right?

  • @demmylowther Last I heard he was a minister and he occasionally does a few acting jobs. He was on the show "Girlfriends" when it was on the air, playing Lynn's long lost father. Hope that helps :D

  • stolen from STEPTOE AND SON....the original and best

  • @eserebcin yeah, iv seen that show. This show is better, Dummy!

  • @tealmarlin

Yeah, I have seen that show too. I don't know why some people feel the need to mention the origin of Sanford and Son. There are a lot of shows that hail from other countries on American TV. Not everyone is ignorant of entertainment history. And I agree with you ... Sanford and Son is better!

  • The way Fred plays the trumpet with his mouth just fucking kills me LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lamont calling Fred "Ray Charles"! TOO funny!!!

  • @3:29 A gravy train filled with biscuits LMAO

  • STUPID DUMMY LMAO!!!!

  • i'd eat that.. that looks tasty minus all teh salt.

  • That quote "it's one thing to be a dummy, it's another thing to be stupid," is a quote that I use all of the time; because I have an incompetent co-worker that thinks he knows everything. And when he does stupid things, and really shows how inept he is, I think back to what Fred said about Lamont, "it's one thing to be a dummy, it's another thing to be stupid."

  • Real show. Me and my Dad love this show. But they rather play boring old shows like the nanny, all in the family and white people shows like that. I get so tired of that.

  • If watching this makes you angry, then you must really be angry when you study the American Revolution. Go Team USA! America---taking everyone's ideas and making them better since 1776

  • Just watching this makes me angry , you guys stole this idea from the british show steptoe and son. Bastard americans , always stealing britains ideas.

  • @linkinpark1519

nobody "stole" it...it clearly says "based on steptoe and son" there are plenty of things that are based on things...and it turned into one of the most popular Black sitcoms. That means something to us.

  • @linkinpark1519 Yeah, just like you guys stole candid camera, america's next top model, the golden girls, law and order. queer eye for the straight guy. Believe me the list goes on so before you start making accusations and insulting people, know your facts!!! And if it makes you so angry why are you watching it?!

  • @linkinpark1519 fuck you buddy

we beat your ass in the revolutionary

we save your ass from the nazis

and american women are way sexier

so dont be talkin shit i say steptoe and son and it was "rubbish"

  • @crunkaholic81 Russian saved europe from the nazis

  • @linkinpark1519 but we make the shows hits out of it

  • @linkinpark1519 Shut up stinkin park.

  • @7477238 Shut up odd combination of numbers

  • The 4 people who disliked this video are racist.

  • the three people who disliked this video ARE BIG DUMMIES

  • @silenthatedyouth Dont forget their two miserable friends.

  • Fred was jammin' in the kitchen. LOL!!!!

  • @00ghostcobra oh i nooooo rittteeeee! LOL

  • never was appreciative

  • The only reason I call you a dummy is because I call them as I see them......DUMMY

  • Firstly, the arrangement is that Fred takes care of the house and cooking, while Lamont makes the pick ups of junk items, and similar. Plus, the show copies Steptoe and Son. That is why after the second season, when the producers changed it to where Lamont and Fred were nicer to each other, are much better seasons.

  • I have that same tie, haha.

  • A lot of us go out and work hard all day AND cook our own food, do our own laundry and clean our own houses. Lamont could do the same too.

  • @MzSunnyJeep A lot of us are supporting our father either. So you'd be okay supporting your dad while he sits on his ass all day doing nothing? Then you're a fool.

  • @HTHAMMACK1 Thanks a lot for calling me a fool - NOT. What I meant is that Lamont don't have to live there. If Fred always upsets him that much, at 35 he should be living on his own. At 35 I hadn't lived at home in 15 years, so whatever my dad did or didn't do, it wouldn't bother me because I didnt' have to be there to see it.

  • @MzSunnyJeep Exactly. I agree with you.

  • @rainbowskies400 Lamont goes OUT and works all day, it's the least Fred can do is cook for him, I mean it is supposed to be a partnership, if somoene went out and worked for ME I'd gladly cook for them.

  • look at that cheesy table and table cloth. Looks like lamont was getting ready to have a seance.

  • @kevonedmonds Lol!

  • lamont-i wanna get a job were i can use my head as well as my hands

fred-well they got it for you they a put a hat on ya head and a broom in yo hands

    me-lmao!!!

  • One of the best shoes on tv ever! All that's on tv now is reality junk.

  • This is just about the best comedy series ever made!

  • @777butch777 your right there is and will never be a show as great ive been watching it just about as long you have class

  • Comment removed

  • yeah a plate full of dippity-doo

  • this is when tv was TELEVISION!, now its all reality show crap! . Great show!

  • this is classic stuff man

  • Tryna find the name of my fav Sanford and Son episode. Its the one when all the cast was sitting in the audience watchig a ground of white actors potraying there roles and Ester yells to the white one its SUCKA!.....LOL.....please help me find that episode.

  • @nickelwindow53 Kind of ironic seeing as it's based on a British comedy with 2 white fellas!;)

  • @comanchio1976 i know have you have seen steptoe and son? The show its based on? I would like to watch a few episodes and she if its funny?

  • @nickelwindow53 Yes of course, was repeated for years in my country! And although it did well,I'm not sure how well it would travel! What I do like though is ow well similar concepts transcend time, nations and so called races!;)

  • @comanchio1976 you are so right! I am like wow A show the same concept, but different races in the places doe so well. It is crazy

  • @nickelwindow53 I think it's called Steinberg and Son. It's from the 5th season.

  • @snoops71 Thanks! I need you to help me find another episode now. What is the episode were Fred thought he saw lamont going into a Gay Club? lol Please help me find that episode.

  • @nickelwindow53 You're welcome! I think that one is titled Lamont Is That You? It's from season three.

  • @snoops71 wow you are pretty good? How do you know this? lol You must own the entire series on DVD? What is your all time fav episode if you had to pick one?

  • @nickelwindow53 Thanks! I wish :) No, I don't have any of the seasons on DVD yet. I've just been watching the show since I was around 5, and it's one of my favorites. I never get tired of it.

Wow, picking one all time fave episode is almost impossible! There are so many GOOD ones. This is definitely one of my favorites, along with the time Fred helped Aunt Esther with the beauty contest, the time Lamont went African, and the time they went to Hawaii.

  • 1:05 wawawawawwa mmmmm,, hahaha lmao!!

  • y doesnt lamont make his own breakfast...shit!!....he's a spoiled punk...some of the times

  • @MoneyBlocc868 lol, but he does do the heavy lifting of the junk business though while Fred sleeps the rest of the day.

  • @soulmziklova that, and the all the actors on this show had chemistry on stage.

  • Fred never gave a F**** about lamonts attitude!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They'll put a cap on your head and a broom in your hand, LOL!

  • lamont was ungrateful as hell!

  • Well they got it for ya! They'll put a cap on your head and a broom in your hands!!

  • Comment removed

  • Lamont just had a nasty attitude all the time. He talked to his father like Fred was the son. But this show is simply a classic. This show went off the air years before I was even born, but I grew up watching it and hurt my stomach laughing everytime.

  • Long live Steptoe And Son.

  • WOOP WOOP

    hahahaha

  • This muthatucker is still funny as hell. This fool scrapin burnt toast

  • DE OMELET FRED LOL!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol, video cliffhanger. XD

  • It was a funny, great show---but somehow also more than that....

I have the fondest nostalgia for this show.

  • thanks for posting!!

  • Fred is always so verbally abusive to Lamont, and Lamont has to take it. Lamont does all of the work for the business, and Fred only helps when Lamont tells him to. Half-of-the-time, Lamont has to actually wait until Fred decides that he wants to do it. If that was me, I would have left the business a long time ago; even if my boss was my father.

  • 5/5

  • I remember this show ...I was young, but i still remember it. Great show, always laughing, and I like the acting too.

  • Why doesn't Lamont make his own breakfast? He's 33.

  • What the heck is he making and what is he singing?

  • It's a scrambled omelet, over easy

  • LOL......Hes' making de' omelet Fred!

  • Comment removed

  • cause he can't cook, he can't get another job or he can't find his own apartment or find a women

  • If I do all the work, then I deserve to have my breakfast made for me!

  • Love when fred cooks and sings... RIP RED

  • Lamont: Now I wanna get me a job where I can use my HEAD as well as my hands.

Fred: Well, they've got it for ya. They'll put a cap on yo'ur head and a broom in your hand.

LOL! Given his education, especially in this day and age, that would probably be true.

  • right...lamont should have gone to night school if he wanted something better instead of blaming fred.a blue collar guy like fred doesn't understand the need for books..he only understood working and hustling...it is what it is....lamont clung to fred because he was scared to be on his own....

  • 4:05 Lamont really DOES look like a dummy!

  • "...a gravy train, filled with biscuits!" LMAO!

  • I guess $75.00 a week wasn't bad then for unemployment. I got it once in the late 80's and all I got was $114.00 a week.

  • LOL Puttin that toast in his pocket

  • I never understood why Lamont's unappreciative ass couldn't cook for his own ass.. he's already 35 living with his daddy, he can at least cook for him! WTF!!!

  • Damn, there sure is alot of hate for Lamont on this page, lol. I agree that alot of the stuff Lamont use to say to his dad was way out of line, but the truth is that's when the show was at its best. The later episodes when they softened Lamont's character just weren't as funny.

  • @weezyzlady601 I just hope i moved out of my dad's before i'm 30

  • @weezyzlady601 And take away the only thing his dad does for him? That won't bode well for the dad.

  • @weezyzlady601 maybe it was for people with grown children still living at home to feel like they can relate to it and after all its just a show lighten up

  • Comment removed

  • @weezyzlady601 This is only make believe. Not real life. A sitcom. You do know that don't you ?????

  • @weezyzlady601 lol right hes always demanding breakast he needs to tell him get your own damn food!!!!

  • @zulfiqar501 Damn right! lol

  • @weezyzlady601 You do realize these are not real people? They're characters in a TV show. Either way, Lamont is single-handedly supporting his dad, while Fred sits on his ass all day watching TV. If I was doing that, I'd expect my dad to get up off his ass and do a little something too. Then again, my dad wouldn't sit on his butt all day.

  • @HTHAMMACK1 DUUUHHHH.. I realize this. I'm not dellusional. I can still comment on the characters because that is the "CHARACTER" they play. His dad supplies him with food and shelter. Also, his dad's "CHARACTER" is of an elderly man. YES, he could help out a little. But I stand by what I said. Good day.

  • I can tolerate Lamont for the most part cause I know he loves his dad.

    Lamont: "I'm carrying you!"

    Fred: "Where?" (Hilarious!)

Fred: I call them as I see them-dummy."

  • Comment removed

  • ill never get bored of this show, been watching it since i was 5.

  • @zaiagamble they just dont make good shows like this anymore

  • @djfingersflores

"They" will again when I become a television producer.

  • @zaiagamble me too

  • I always thought the had a backwards relationship being the Father was always cooking for the son. And the son was always yelling at his father.

  • Lamont sure was good at blaming Fred for all his problems..Fred had his faults, but Lamont could have been getting his GED in night school instead of bitching to Fred that it was his fault!!

  • Word, son.

  • You Dummy !!!

  • Fred shouldv'e thrown those hot eggs in Lamont's face! Ungreatful fool.

  • Lamont always was a puss. He was always always acting so smart, but there he was sponging off Fred. At least Fred got laid. Lamont just jerked off with Rollo.

  • i know right...Lamont was a hater...He thought he was a little bit better than Fred cause he had some book smarts..But Fred had the best smarts of them all..Street Smarts and Common Sense!!lol

  • OMG, Lamont gets on my nerves! Make your own darn breakfast you old freak!! Gosh.

  • For real though. He IS annoying in this episode. Claiming Fred is holding him back. Wah, wah, wah.... then go get your own place and shut the heck up. lol

  • LOL amen to that!

  • I LOVE THE TOAST IN THE POCKET

  • Anyone know the name of the song Fred is singing in the kitchen?

  • ST Louis Blues

  • @collinnc2001 - Fred Sanford is originally from East St. Louis like my homeboy..

  • i dont think the eggs was cooked long enough lol....

  • I love when Fred sings lol. funny as hell

  • Drops the burnt toast, pick it up

    Looks around

    Gets back to topic

    shoves it into his pocket

  • I bet that was improv

  • Obviously I reckon

  • "I calls them as I sees them, dummy." Man, I was cracking up at that for like a minute.

  • Didn't redd foxx do any stand up? when he was alive you know?

  • Yep, When they first let him on hbo the stand up segment was called Redd Foxx On Location. They took some of those vids off of youtube.

  • oh.. too bad, I guess because it is too valuable to be just 'free'

  • he did a lot in Vegas. a little bit of google will help, You can actually find some clips here i.e wash your ass, fart jokes etc

  • Make your damn breakfast, you big dummy!

  • i like it when Sanford tells Lamont "You Big Dummy" lol or when Lamont said:"when he was a kid,he always thought his names was Dummy Lamont or Dummy Sanford, cause Fred always called him that LOL~~~~!"

  • The original to this show is called 'STEPTOE AND SON' which was made for the BBC in the UK.

If you have not seen it then please check it out on youtube......

  • "Say Ray Charles!"---that line gets me everytime LOL

and Fred talkin about last time...its still looks like Dippity Doo lol

and i love the line 6:01-- "dummy stupid, stupid dummy"

  • Anybody that thinks that the shows today are as good as this is a bigger dummy than Lamont.

  • I agree. With the fact that Sanford and Son is way better than these shows today but not the fact that some people think Lamont is a dummy.

  • My statement about Lamont is due to the fact that Fred says Lamont is a dummy so that's good enough for me. Lamont is a king size dummy. He is the supreme dummy. Fred is GOD. It's just that simple!

  • he cooked his food for 34 seconds lol

  • r.i.p redd foxx

  • Norman: my friends at the gym call me King

Fred: yeah, what do they call you at home? Kong?

    ROFL!!!

  • I loved that salt omelet with bits of toast to garnish it.

  • If Fred cooked like that all Lamont's life, he wouldn't have made it to be an adult, LOL.

  • just as funny as Steptoe and son :D

  • plate full of dippiddy doo

  • Comment removed

  • You mean some Cold Duck!

  • It's one thing to be a dummy, and it's another thing to be stupid...and ain't nobody gonna hire no dummy, stupid.

    Stupid dummy.

  • I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH : )
