Euro did try to distance from US $ ... but it is not so easy (it is a marriage, where the other party didn't want to sign the divorce paper ... lol). ... unless the cruise ship cut the cables. But cutting the cables seems inhuman to many, but if the were not cut then all will end up at the bottom of the sea. To me, cutting the cable is a perfect idea but before cutting it, save as those who are on board of that carrier and if some reluctant fellows who still feel that carrier is sound and save then it is up to them.

For the past few years, more and more crisis is rising in US, US can't even survive on her own, every year she need foreign loans & digging into Federal Reserve to feed her people. Till today, the US 9 % unemployment is still cannot be solve ... seems it will be turning for the worst .. and maybe follow by hyper inflation. Many of those ignorant are still in the ' sleeping ' mode or rather ' coma ' mode. Sorry it this hurts, anyway truth always hurt.

US did give financial aid to EU but with heavy condition. US never give FOC help. During the darkest hour when UK was heavily bombarded by the German, US didn't want to sell weapon to UK unless it is a COD (cash on delivery). @doctorw2 That is such BULLSHIT! Yes, U.K. troops were ordered into those conflicts, but, ordered there solely by the U.K. government, NOT the U.S. government. The U.K is a sovereign nation and doesn't "have" to do anything it doesn't want to, regardless of what the U.S. does. By your logic, the U.K would have also sent troops into Viet Nam, which they didn't, because Wilson did not support the action. Take some responsibility for your nation's foreign policy decisions.
