Hey man, me and a buddy are trying to hook up a trans fan and we're having trouble figuring out the wiring. Its a 6amp fan that runs on 12 volts. We're currently wiring together 2x 300/w psu's to hopefully get the proper wattage. Did you have to do anything special to get your fan going?
@ishb3w It has gone some time since I made this modification. I remember that i took a paperclip to short circuit two pins of the ATX-connector (so that it would be possible to start the psu without having it connected to a mobo), then I cut the wires from a Molex-connector connected to the psu to power the 12v fan. I don't know what fan u've got, but I think that it is unnecessary to have 2 psu's as I think that 1 would be sufficient. The one I used was only 250w I think.
Men det är ju bra, då kommer ju inget damm in ofrivilligt. Nä, men jag är lite tveksam till att det spelar så stor roll, det finns massvis med hål där luften kan smita ut. Blotta kraften från fläkten tvingar luften att cirkulera trots övertrycket. Eller jag vet inte, fysik är inte mitt starkaste ämne.

Åt vilket håll blåser fläkten? Ifall den blåser inåt så borde det bli ett enormt övertryck därinne ^^
