  • yikes. she shouldn't have admitted that - it's probably the reason her career is over. oh, and because she has no talent.

  • Notice how she says "I was raised a Mormon", if you have half a brain and actually look at it there is no doubt it was one big con job.

  • lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/od/1?lang=eng

  • LOL Elisha "dishes" her Mormon Posse. Cool can she do my dishes?

  • I think you are from Romania ! :P

  • I'm not mormon, but for those of you commenting below under the impression that mormons still practice polygamy; you're wrong. They have not in a long time.

That's the problem with this world, so many ignorant and negligent assholes, not taking the time to understand the world around them.

  • @jsteuernol maybe not the mainstream lds members but polygamy is part of smaller sects of mormonism. its part of their doctrine.

  • @spylok85

LOL No. The RLDS church, which is not iffiliated with LDS, practices polygamy. Anyone that does Polygomy is excommunicated from the mormon church. So no it's not part of our faith. I think it's sad people dont do a little studying before opening their mouths.

  • @Shotgunsteve2733 its easy to say "its not part of our faith" when youve changed your doctrine so many times over the years and omitted so many events and so many ridiculous beliefs from your history. you people are really good at pretending like shit never happened when you fuck up.

  • @spylok85

LOL keep telling yourself. Hopefully that makes you feel better even though You dont know what the fuck your talking about. Next time learn more about Mormons before you open your fucking mouth

  • @Shotgunsteve2733 YOUR CHURCH MAY NOT OPENLY DO POLYGAMAS MARRIAGES BUT IT'S STILL BEING DONE IN YOUR TEMPLES AND IT'S ALSO STILL A CORE BELIEF IN MORMON DOCTRINE. IT'S AN ETERNAL LAW AND YOUR CHURCH HAS A RACIST HEART AND EVERYONE OF YOU ARE LYING BASTARDS!.

  • @A1Goku

HA HAHA HA. I seriously cannot believe people are so stupid, but then here you are. What you said was so funny I'm actually going to laugh at you for a week. You seriousy just made up some false shit and said "this is how it is" HAHAHAHAH. Fucking loser. Go jack off to anime since there's no way you're older than 15

  • @A1Goku If you must know the institution of polygamy was instituted when the church was small and when half the men in the community were massacred by mobs of prejudicial people early in its history. At that time, women did not raise families alone and so the men that were left took responsibility for those families. It persisted simply out of culture, but when the practice was outlawed in Utah, the church quickly followed suit making a proclamation that exists in the church's text today.

  • @selpunt -- Not true... it is still a belief in your church today because it is in your doctrine (132) and "your" church can not remove it because it is an "ETERNAL" law...so if it is removed this one ( 1 ) card...the whole house of cards would then fall and 'your' church knows that so "YES" you are lying when you say we don't believe in it. You have been taught a lie and to ignore "fact" YOU can leave the church ya know...Matthew:16:24 and Mark 8:34 trust in those scriptures..."NOT MAN !!.

  • @A1Goku FYI, I'm not a Mormon, but unlike you, I've actually read the entirety of Mormon Doctrine: Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine and Covenants. I've also done research on the founding and early years of the church as a scholar. Perhaps you should do similar objective studies to avoid sounding ignorant. Also, In the Bible, almost every prophet and disciple practiced polygamy and that is Christianity, not just LDS. History is past, not present.

  • @selpunt -- I thoght you "where" LDS...my bad. In what "FACT" was I incorrect in ? B of M is "NOT" Gods words...ever. P of Great Price is a fairy tale...never happend. And the D&C is J. Smiths man made doctrine...unbiblical and not true either. Go to UTLM ORG There you can find FACTS. This web site is from a direct decendant of J. Smith himself ( Sandra Tanner ) So "YOU would be wise to have known that as a Fact..and you claim to be a scholar ? not a very good one if you don't know your facts!.

  • @A1Goku um yeah, so J Smith's wife started her own version of the church when he died, a version not compatible with the actual church. Look, I'm not saying LDS is the right church at all, just saying you are 100% wrong that the current LDS church practices polygamy. They do not. I really don't understand why you are all worked up about it. Also, you can't go to a website dedicated to taking down a church for factual information. That would be like going to a nazi site to learn about Jews.

  • @selpunt -- GOD allowed polygamy in the past...never commanded it. And every time it ended in disaster. And you are ignorant if you think I have not researched it as well and seems to me that I know more facts on mormonism and christianity than you! . so 'phttthhttt!! In fact...I think you "ARE a mormon by the way you answerd back...defending them as a christian faith. They are FAR from being christian!

  • @A1Goku The only "Mormons" that still practice polygamy are from breakaway sects that are not recognized by the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

  • @jsteuernol good post and spot on

  • @jsteuernol yet they believe in a heaven full of polygamy.... *rolls eyes* the only reason they don't practice it anymore is because it's illegal in the US.

  • @animato It was outlawed in 1862, yet Mormons practiced it until 1890. They did not stop because it was illegal, they were driven out of New England because of it, which is when they all moved to Utah. Just another example of persecution, but the Mormons stood fast with their beliefs until it was no longer necessary by the prophets of the church, not because of anything pertaining to the law.

  • @jsteuernol Mainstream Mormons definitely don't practice it, but there are always those fringe Mormon groups in small isolated areas that practice it.

  • @doughboycod2 Those aren't Mormons. Look it up.

  • every time i see someone that say they are or practice the mormon religion ALL the comments are bassed on the LDS respect any church ppl!!! shut the hell up and comment about the overall of the video not religion!!!

  • yes, it is 2011 and it is a common fact that all Mormons have 5 wives.

  • @CaptainBorfus i know some mormons and its not true

  • @CaptainBorfus you are a dumbass! nobody in the mormon church has 5 wives

  • Of course Mormons have a lot of relatives.

    Do the math:

1 male + 5 females will equal 5x the average reproductive rate.

  • I used to think she was so beautiful..... but now that her soul is rotten with LDS dogma, I'm disgusted with her.... so sad. The Celestial Kingdom is a myth, wake up people.

  • @sparky7718 She said she was raised Mormon. Not that she IS Mormon. Big difference.

  • @sparky7718

    Sparky,

How do you know the celestial kingdom is a myth? Its actually straight out of the Bible..

    Peace

    Bob

  • @bomac10000 Can you show us where in the Bible it is?

  • Ummm is she saying that she is also mormon or just that her family is cause i she just mentions her family is mormon doesnt say if she is. Ps i am a christian

  • I'm sorry, I thought this was a video about Eliza Dushku, not an excuse to vent about religion!

Anyways, Eliza's always great in interviews. Very pleasant and energetic. :)

  • TAX THE MORMON CHURCH!!!

  • eitoobmiz.....I'm a mormon and I can tell you right now that we DO NOT worship Lucifer thru masonic rituals. We don't believe in rituals at all. We believe in a God more powerful then any others. We believe that we will some day be with Him again. We don't rub our religion in everyones face. If someone wants to take bad about our religion, they are allowed to, but I will not allow someone to say that we worship Lucifer!

  • @TheGhostgirl91 -- No I don't believe you worship the devil either however...lucifer is an incorrect reference to Satan...Lucifer is a latin word for morning star and is in reference to a 4th century babylonian king...

( Nebuchadnezzar ll ) he had a statue constructed...very shiny ( In Daniel chapter 3 ) Most chistian and others mis-quote this. look up on wikipedia also the word lucifer.

  • MORMONS WORSHIP LUCIFER THRU MASONIC RITUALS.....................

  • @eitoobmiz Haha, dude you made me laugh. I love how people defend Mormonism when it is that religion that stemmed a FUCK load of cults and ruins people's lives! XD

  • I see many people arguing for their faiths on this thread. You`re all arguing over who`s fictional account of history is true. Sorry, folks, the realm of the supernatural does not exist. It is the creation of man, stemming from humanity`s ignorance and need for explanation. There is no god, no prophets, no souls, ghosts, demons, angels, spirits or afterlife. There is only here and now. Don`t waste it believing in fairy tales.

  • "It's kind of like camp" lol

  • I never said it didn't happen, I'm saying the bible doesn't have the Book of Mormon included when it damn well should have in the first place. Thing is Jesus wasn't born in America...bnd there is a possibility he did visit America. I commend Joseph Smith for what he did, but is he really important? he was more of a cult leader as the same terms as Charles Manson almost. What's restoring the truth? Hes a man. Not God. Besides, Prophet Moroni tried to get rid of the plates for a reason.

  • no shes not.. shes albanian....fuckin lier....

  • Thats right only read scriptures from the bible. Joseph Smith was and is the biggest joke of America. So basically Upstate new York was like Jeruselem in biblical times? Nowhere it says in the bible that Jesus swam to America...and who has ever heard about Prophet Moroni burying the fools gold plates until Joseph Smith found them centuries later...and who cares about Gordon Hinckley? A true Christain would not find that important information. It's not prioirty one...Jesus is.

  • @doctorshifty83 Where in the Bible does it say 'If it's not explicitly stated in this collection of books written at different times, it didn't happen,' ? And I would think a 'true Christian' would find the possibility of another prophet of God on the earth to be something very important. Something they'd want to determine the truthfulness of. After all, Joseph Smith claimed Jesus Christ called him to restore truth, that's a pretty important sounding claim.

  • mormons are twats

  • Second hottest Slayer out there!

  • @busterpiggle Yeah, but she lost more brownie points when I found out she was Mormon. *rolls eyes* I prefer blondes anyway.

  • @sherrimule Believing in any version of the God fairytale is a deal breaker with me anyway.

  • Mormons ARE the cleanest church out there when it comes to money. On top of that, I saw one of the very top leaders (an Apostle) at a stop light just after he surprise visited our congregation in SLC one Sunday. He was in a clean Honda Accord about a decade old. Nobody gets money from this. It really IS as simple as that.

  • I find it hypocrital for a church to take money from the people to do "God's work" when they use it for elaborate temples. God doesn't need elaborate temples, or money for that matter.

  • @sherrimule Yeah, I guess that is why he didn't have his people build elaborate temples in ancient times. Oh wait..... Your right too, churches should pay their electric bills with fairy dust. Come on. If you wanna attack Mormons, then use a different subject. Mormons are the cleanest church out there when it comes to money. They don't have paid ministry like every other church, so no money goes to anyones pockets.

  • Comment removed

  • @sherrimule because mormons and all other religions want money in this life because the leaders know the religion is bogus which is why they get what they want now.

  • @sherrimule Do you even read the Old Testament? Only the finest of mterials went into building temples. Read the account about Solomon's temple. you should even try reading the Bible...maybe then this would all make sense to you!

  • @MrBubbagumwhat Sure it would moron. A talking snake, the earth being 6000 years old, the sun rotating around the earth ?? Written by morons.

  • @MrJohnnyrace Oh I know can you believe such stories? Also what about stories like people walking on water, raising the dead, feeding 5,000 people with a few loaves of bread and three fish, Moses parting the sea, who would write such stories about things that seem impossible today? OH, I know, PROPHETS OF THE LORD! But they also told us that those who are not spiritually discerned who not be able to discern the ways of God...that's still evident today

  • @MrBubbagumwhat Again, you are wrong. The historians traced ancient maps proving moses crossed through a marshy area. The rest is rediculous. The rediculous claims of all cults later to become religions are hogwash. There hasnt been any proof ever. The first born that were killed were sufficated by iron oxide gas. History also proves this. So many Bi BULL claims and no proof.

  • @MrBubbagumwhat So your saying that God needs worldly possessions? He needs the finest materials?Sounds like an overindulgent God you have there. If God WERE real, and he was this invisible man in the sky that owns the world and all things in it, then why would he need material possessions?Give me ONE good reason why your God NEEDS the finest materials to make him happy?Or is it that the Old Testament was really about what MAN wanted and used God as an excuse to take other peoples money.

  • @sherrimule God needs nothing from us. You're right about that. So why would He ask us to build temples of the finest materials? Because it shows sacrifice on our part! Why would God tell Abraham to kill Issac? God didn't need Issac...well that act wasn't for God. It was to test Abraham that he would be obedient in all things, no matter what God commanded him. This earth life is a test to see if we will be willing to sacrifice and give up our worldly possession for God!

  • @sherrimule I knew people in Brazil who had little to nothing. Yet they would give some of their corn to the church as a way to show that what little they had they owed to God anyway, and it was just worldly possessions. You could learn a lesson from them. They are the most humble and righteous people I know. They would give the shirt off their back to anyone. We do learn great lessons when we learn to sacrifice

  • @sherrimule We do not believe God needs worldly possessions, nor the finest materials. I think you would agree that we do not even need the finest materials to have a good, fulfilling life. I think the reason we use the best materials we can find is to show God how thankful we are for the many blessings we have, to use the best he has given us and build a place of beauty where we can feel close to Him.

  • why not just look at the word and make sure that is what is speaking to you but i tell you the truth that whole congregation most of them are just listening to the preacher like a mormon listens to a bishop oh its the right thing lets just give everything they need because after all everyone is our gods instead of one God.

  • some of these people well even give there houses if this preacher ask it some of these people well give one hundred dollars and some of these people well give nothing at all

  • 100 dollars to day that you feel it is right to tithe that and the lord well bless you and then preacher goes on and says lets raise it up instead of 100 to 500 and lets through in we well offer christian classes to anyone who can do this and that the lord may bless it so these kids can go to school but alls we need lord is five hundred dollars from the congregation. This is praying out openly like the street corners but to the congregation and also asking for money to the congregation.

  • Here is example and happens to people all the time and your going to say no way people do that lol sacracstcally but some of you who go to church actually do this so dont laugh . A PREACHER SAYS ABOUT TITHING AND says God says we must tithe and we well be blessed so one says ok i tithe and then preacher says i am not talking about tithe ten percent but if you have .

  • the truth is people use these for there own advantage just like you cant listen to preacher expect everthing from his mouth is true because you find him to be your best friend you need to read the word he is reading and the translation he is telling you or you well fail in this area and take out what he is saying in a different matter.

  • the way of the master does this and these are called evangelist but a different trype for there are many tribes of evangelist who come together and they also are church because this is there ministry. How ever i do not let them tell me if i dont do this and this i am going to lose my salvation or i well be taken out of the earth earlier then expected reffering to corinthians chapter 5 .

  • Jesus also taught do not bare false witness in my name. This does not mean to go out and tell others they are going to hell if they dont repent but others take it upon them selves to contradict the word they want that feels right to them because it also says they have there own glory but Jesus said you do not have to do what they do. So there fore there are otther ways to witness in his name then going around streert corners and telling people about the ten commandments.

  • There are many people out there to this day telling people they well go to hell if they do not repent of there sin this is found in the book of John but John said this people are just copying what he quoted but to get it actually right he didnt say repent or your going to hell he said your going to hell if you dont follow these ways and this was before Jesus Christ died on the cross according to the new testament book 43 which is John.

  • there are many people out there that say things like well you need to be dunked to get salvation or they are steps of salvation.

  • You might say buyt its in your belief to judge me so you are judging me but correction people in these books said this i did not say this but this is what i have read but then again can you name how many translations out there to this day soulure there is a lot. I have twenty of the most accurate versions but even those versions are not 100 percent accurate it is what you get out of what your reading that matters.

  • is this the same lady who was in buffy the vampire slayer as the screen name faith?

  • Mormonism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism are all in the same: Myths and Fairy-Tales for grownups.

  • @soulure I can say the same for atheism also fantasy the big bang theory and the monkey connection lol.

  • @InTheseBooks "I can say the same for atheism" Good, don't believe any of them! Only believe things based on evidence. We agree.

  • @soulure no we dont agree i believe in my faith but i do not have to tell you if you dont believei n my faith your going to hell i am not your judge soulure. Alot of people misinterpret the books there reading and there are tons of debates to this day.

  • I want to lick her anus

  • @juegas I think that is gross. Why would someone want to lick the part that poop comes out of?

  • @hellerZauberer Its what I want to do. You do what you want. Also did you know that a clean asshole has less germs than a person's mouth? Yeah its true. Its a fetish I have and this girl deserves such worship.

  • @juegas A "clean" anything has more germs than a person's mouth. Including a CLEAN mouth. That is part of the definition of clean. So saying that is like saying "did you know that a urnal has less germs than a person's mouth." It's a mute point.

  • @hellerZauberer It is a moot point.

  • @StruggleBunnies Thank you for the spelling correction. "Moot" it is. :)

  • @hellerZauberer I apologize for the spelling correction. I don't want to be "one of those people". I just love that word and practically never get the chance to use it. So, thank you for the chance.

  • @StruggleBunnies No worries. Drives me nuts when I see incorrect spelling in other people's comments and let them know. If I can dish it, I'd better be able to take it. :)

  • @hellerZauberer By the way, I looked at your channel, I like the DIY format of your videos. Gotta love learning.

  • @StruggleBunnies Hey, thaks!

  • @juegas Yeah, but it still tastes like shit!

  • Yes we are told to follow the prophet.

  • I think you can download b the moviie @ MOOV ZON . COM Google the above link

  • I wish she would become active in the church again and stop posing naked. Her and Katherine Heigl should start coming again. Aaron Eckhart and Paul Walker should too.

  • don't forget amy adams

  • I agree, I don't quite understand why so many people have thumbed down my comment. It is amazing how in the church the more educated people become more active or stay active, whereas the less educated are more likely to become inactive. I think that says something about how open, wonderful, and actually intellectual the church actually it is. I think the church is a lot more open than it is perceived by outsiders.

  • @JohnRhysMusician

    What a vile comment.

    Truly repugnant.

  • @thesignsoflife7 What is so vile and repugnant?

  • @JohnRhysMusician

Did Jesus call the intellectuals? The wealthy? The beautiful?

Mormonism is the antithesis of all that the Lord Jesus promoted.

  • @thesignsoflife7 I don't know what you mean by "call." However, I believe that Jesus Christ would like all to come unto him regardless of their wealth, beauty, intelligence, or past sins. God's gift to man is his intelligence.

  • @JohnRhysMusician

Jesus called Peter, he called John. He called people to follow him when he was here in person and still does today.

  • @thesignsoflife7 OK and this has to do with my comment expressing disappointment that she stopped being active in The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints?

  • @JohnRhysMusician

Are you told to "follow the prophet"?

  • @thesignsoflife7 Yes. President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.

  • @thesignsoflife7 I haven't been told that verbatim; but do I believe that President Monson is a prophet? Yes, I do and I believe that everyone can benefit from listening to him and try to become more like Christ by following his words.

  • @JohnRhysMusician

    Sorry, 7 months late!

It was very Mormon of you to avoid answering a simple straightforward question.

Basically, Mormons become more like Christ by following a self-proclaimed prophet instead of Christ himself.

THAT, my friend is an excellent Mormon answer.

  • @thesignsoflife7 You're cute.

  • ...lol and Aaron Eckhart got his start in an LDS seminary film entitled, "Godly Sorrow." ... I guess there are more famous Mormon's than I thought there was out there... except who knows just how active or not any of them are. I've not heard anyone bring activity in the church up to any of these guys, including Amy Adams, in any sort of interview. It must be a non-factor...

  • Eckhart is inactive. Dushku is inactive. Heigl married a non-member and is inactive, while her family is very active and close with Glenn Beck and his family. Walker is inactive as well.

  • Yes, we don't hear much from them. They're not quite the ambassadors for the church like a "Steve Young" turned out to be... or a Jon Heder, who isn't afraid to be a covenant member of the church and still be famous... (I think... unless you tell me otherwise...)

  • Steve Young and Jon Heder are very active. Heder is living the quintessential LDS life. Something about Hollywood messes up Mormons, yet LA County has one of the highest LDS populations. I just don't understand how people like Dushku, Eckhart, etc. can just give up. All of them were raised in the church througout their childhoods, and of course Eckhart even went to BYU and on a mission!

  • @JohnRhysMusician I know the Mother of one of Eckhart's companions. It's so sad when someone falls away.

  • Rock on Eliza Dushku you are awesome and so is your family! :) Happy holidays may we all remember to keep Christ in our hearts by loving all others and following his example throughout the year!

  • Their is a lot of bad things you can find about every religion if you look on the internet. My advice is if you want to know about something go to the source and ask! I've been to many churches and have read anti mormon literature and pro mormon stuff. It's really your own personal opinion. Everyone also doesn't know mormonism is growing. Does everyone really think that their aren't educated people in a religion?

  • The book of mormon is just as valid as the bible.

    0 credibility.

  • eliza is so pretty

  • You people are so dead set on proving our church is wrong but tell me something how do you know your religion deserves to be the center of the universe?

  • You people are so dead set on proving that our church is wrong but explain to me how you know your religions is true?

  • Who says we have a religion? It's up to you, the person making the claims, to prove your claims. Otherwise, why should we believe?

First prove your God exists, and then prove that Joseph Smith isn't a liar and a fraud.

Jesus, are all of you Mormons retarded? Haven't you ever heard someone pick apart the flaws in your cult? You would be wise to listen to your critiques. The majority of the world isn't Mormon for a very good reason.

  • I am not condemning anyones beliefs. Just because we don't do what other people do doesn't mean we are a cult. Do you know what cult mean?

Cult: a particular system of religious worship.

Therefore any religion could be called a cult. Also in most cases, people tend to give the label cult to any group they don't understand. I don't have to prove my beliefs.

  • If you want me to sit here and tell you what you should believe then I would be brainwashing you and I would form my own cult. However, if you want to find out for yourself what is true then please be my guest and go to the source to find out more information. You can find negative and positive things about anything you have an opinion about. It's up to you to be openminded and search for yourself.

  • @Hermetiqa

Actually in philosophical debate the burden of evidence lays upon the one trying to disprove the philosophy or thought, or belief.

But as for proof, I add my voice to the 2000 pages of written eyewitness evidence (and millions of others) as proof. I've got more eyewitnesses for God, who have literally seen Him, conversed with him, and touched Him, then you do for dark matter, quarks, and sub-atomic molecules. And we've heard it all before. You are nothing new, just weak.

  • Who are you guys to judge the lds Mormons? And FYI we are not a cult. Go ahead and judge me but I believe in their truths and I know you guys have no idea what your talking about. Who are you to tell us what we believe in! You have no right!

  • Fact: over the last few thousand years, modern-day Jews and modern-day Native Americans do not share common ancestors. If they did, then genetic markers would be found in Natives identical to those in the descendants of ancient Hebrews.

DNA proves that Joseph Smith was a liar and that Mormonism is a religion of lies.

  • Exactly..you cannot compare the DNA of modern day Jews to the remains of people found in the Americas. The people in the Book of Mormon, the ancestors of some Native Americans, weren't of the tribe of Judah..they were descendants of Mannasah(sp). Its a totally different line..but still part of one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

So the DNA tests aren't testing the right people.

You cant debunk Mormonism based on this claim.

  • You completely disregard history, science and modern knowledge.

You are saying that Amerindians are Israelites, yet, there is NO genetic link between East Asians and modern day Jewry. That means they DID NOT COME FROM THE SAME RACIAL LINE. That means they are not from the same father.

Also, if you expect anyone to believe that Amerindians are Israelites then by logic you must accept that the Japanese, Chinese and Koreans are too. They are all mongoloids.

DNA proves Mormonism is a fraud.

  • I said they WONT compare to modern day Jews. They are spawned from an ancient tribe, one that lived hundreds of years before Christ.

And i did not say that all American Indians are Isralite.

There are blends of the three genetically significant races: mongoloid, negroid, and caucasoid.

Are you saying Jews are all 100% caucasiod? Why couldn't there be mongoloid or negroid in their DNA? People do migrate.

  • That's why you're wrong. 100% of American Indians are Mongoloid in racial origins. That means they have NO SEMITIC DNA markers, nor do thy have any Caucasoid or Negroid DNA. Either all or none are Israelites, DNA proves this much. IF East Asians are NOT Israelites than you're wrong.

Just accept the fact and educate yourself on why everyone else doesn't believe in your tyrant in the sky, specifically the one Joseph Smith lied about.

Let me guess, you're probably a young female from Utah?

  • HAHA, you closed your account because you proved that you're an idiot.

  • @Hermetiqa ... how do you explain black jews? Or that Jews and Levites have different genes? Perhaps you do not understand that a majority of the Jews are from the tribe of Judah. Perhaps you forgot that 10 tribes were carried away from Judah? Perhaps you do not believe people can migrate from the americas to the middle east and vice versa? PS I am a lamanite and know the history of my people. The Book of Mormon is a history of my people...

  • Actually their is a youtube video that talks on this and states that the genetics is so diluted that that's why no geneticts can pick up on the Israelite gene. Every story has a side.

  • @Hermetiqa

First, the Church doesn't say that the only ancestor of modern day "Indians" were the descendants of Lehi, just one of the principle groups. Two, if you took a modern Jew and compared them to ancient Jews they'd be just as much dis-similarity b/c modern Jews are all a mixture of white, Caucasian, polish, Slavic, Anglo, Saxon, Spanish, African, and middle eastern bloodlines. They are none of them true pure Hebrew.

  • @Hermetiqa

Thirdly Lehi WAS NOT A JEW! He was an Ephraim-ite, and the other family that journeyed with him were of Manasseh. The only simlarity they would have shared with Judah, and therefore the Jews, would have been through Jacob, they're father, by way of Joseph along with they're Egyptian grandmother. That would have been some 400yrs BEFORE they left. Of course they would have unmatching DNA with even an ancient Jew.

  • @Hermetiqa

And fourthly, YOU need to check your sources. Anthropological studies have determined that they only "Indians" that are "100% mongoloid" are the Northern Inuit tribes. The farther south you go the more and more genetic influences come into play. They have found more evidence for Polynesian blood in the Indians of the American Southwest than that of northern Asia. The large genetic markers there are mostly of Polynesia, the Philippines, and African, not NW Asian Mongoloid.

  • i also want to encourage mormons who believe they are the true church to try wine for a Jesus had wine but you say he didnt i like how you mormons say from your prophets that you do not go by our jesus then do me a favor stop reading from the bible the kjv should not even be in your hand but then again even the devil knows the bible.

  • Jesus did had what they called wine back in his day. Wine back in his day is nothing more than grape juice today. Do more research.

I expose evil cults like mormonism for free

  • Have you ever been to a mormon church? I'm just curious.

  • Well, GRACEALONERS...

If what you say is true, it's completely irrelevant because Grace is free--I don't have to 'do' anything. Be at peace--everyone is going to heaven with your doctrines!

  • That's awesome I agree I went to Park City for the first time one year before this interview and the Sundance Channel interviewed me as well and it was aired. I too have family in Utah and love the vibe there in PC and much of Utah I really don't understand some people's obsession as the comments below with putting down group of people they obviously do not understand. Because of my family I know what is actually taught and it is based completely upon the actual teachings of Jesus Christ.

  • LDS doctrine promotes >

1- Behavior control - garments, secrets.

    2- Information control - FAIR

3- Thought control - Follow the prophet

4- Emotion control - Testimony meeting, families forever.

    A Biblical definition of Mormonism.

1- A group of people polarized around someone's interpretation of the Bible and characterized by major deviations from orthodox Christianity relative to the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith.

Teaching "ANYTHING" outside of the Bible would be a CULT>

  • I would encourage you to look up what the root word of "Bible" is. It is Latin and means "books". The Bible was not one solid book for thousands of years that was the only book that was taught from. The Bible is a collection of "journals" from Prophets throughout history. Effectively, what you are saying, by denying the Book of Mormon, is that we can only read from Isaiah or Amos, because anything else isn't God's word. You need to grasp the bigger picture of revealed word.

  • I boast that no man ever did such a work as I,the

followers of Jesus ran away from him,but the latter-

day saints never ran away from me yet, when they can

so shall it be with us,joseph smith or the sword

joseph smith, history of the church vol 3:167

joseph smith was a false prophet

  • there are contradictions in the bom

the bom says Jesus Christ was born in jerusalem, alma

    7:10

the holy bible says Jesus Christ was born in bethlehem matthew 2:1

the bom says zedekiah had a son named mulek who lived

    heleman 8:21

there is no mention of a son of zedekiah named mulek in the bible, and it says that his sons were slain, but the bom contradicts and say that his son mulek lived

lds is a cult,so buyers beware

  • Books can be added. Do they agree with the previous books? Can it be included in the Bible? Do the stories and words agree with previous writers of the Bible?

Let's take a step back to the word "FAITH". A biblical definition of faith is "something that is HOPED for, with the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

If you start with the Book of Mormon as being another testament of Jesus, you better have evidence to back up that claim.

For 179 years historians have been trying to prove the BofM and failed

  • awol- The LDS religion is all about mind control. If they can control what you think, they can control you.

  • I've questioned many things in the LDS religion and they have all been answered. If you have any questions why not call the closest missionary or go to a church service and find the answers?

  • Cause they will only tell you what they want you to know, not what you need to know, before joining Mormonism.

  • @a1beachbug Mostly because their views are either going to be 1 dimensional or biased.

  • What do they want me to know?

  • All you non-thinking sheeple arguing over Mormonism vs Christianity are nuts. If U cant see that all the religious crap U argue over is all based on bullshit, Ur blind. There are 34,000 subsects of christianity...so who is right? All of it is based on bronze aged superstitious beliefs from a time when science didnt even exist! " I Contend that we are all atheist, I just take it one god further, When U understand why you dismiss ALL other possible gods...you will understand why I dismiss yours."

  • how do you know that we arent all spiritually connected as brothers and sisters? Grace is the factor we all need especially after we have done all we can, otherwise a death bed confession is all you need, forget good works, Christian living, forget kind deeds trying to live like our saviour to bless the lives of others im sorry i think that when luther invented the idea of salvation by grace it was becuase he felt guilty and an instant confession appeased his conscience...

  • No,,, this is something you have been taught and it is NOT Biblical or the gospel of Jesus Christ. You need to read the New Testament again. Who were the apostles talking too and in what context? We are NOT saved after all we can do. We are NOT spirit brothers and sisters of Jesus and Satan.

As far a judgement goes, I am worried about all Mormons. Do you know what the Bible says about following a different god made up by a man?

So,,, go straight to the Savior and ask him to open your eyes.

  • Something you should consider. The Savior Himself said "not everyone that says 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Clearly the Savior expects us to do SOMETHING and just just sit there calling out His name.

  • the biblical Jesus Christ also said if you truly belonged to him,you would obey him,you mormons are of the devil, and that is why you mormons worship joseph smith and why you mormons teach that the bom is more correct, than the holy bible, your bom and d&c is the doctrines of demons, you mormons got a different gospel and a different jesus,if we are an angel from heaven, come to you preaching another gospel other than the good news, let them be a curse or doomed 1 gal 8:9 paul warned us about smith

  • We do obey Him. What was different than what is being taught? Faith, repentance, baptism, gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and enduring to the end. It seems to me that if you do not believe that, then you have been taught another gospel (one of convenience) and are therefore accursed

  • Calling Lord, Lord has absolutley nothing to do with works. Jesus is talking about those who have distorted his gospel.

The Saviors yoke light and there is liberty and freedom in him. You will never find these explained in Mormon doctrine. The grace of God has been replaced with laws and ordinances that exhalt men.

  • I'm not sure I understand that last sentence. However, the rest I understand perfectly. You confuse grace with love. The Savior said "If you love me, keep my commandments". And yet, you and others like you seem to be vague on what those commandments are. I'm sorry, but with the 30,000+ "Christian" churches in North America alone, the error lies with them and the creeds they hold dear. Like I said, God doesn't expect us to just sit around. He expects us to do something.

  • we christians are saved by grace, grace is a gift,it is by grace in which we christians are saved by and not by works,so that no man shall boast, joseph smith also taught blood atonement, and joseph smith also taught that, the biblical Jesus Christ shed blood and sacrifice is not enough to forgive certain sins, smith said that certain sins must be atoned for by the shedding of that person blood. I hope you mormons are enjoying your meat doctrines of demons eat mormons eat.

  • when joseph smith made the LDS religion and when he made the LDS book, he had plenty of wives!! that fact alone already tells us that LDS is a false religion..well actually no religion can save us..only Jesus Christ can..

  • Comment removed

  • Before you start condemning the LDS faith do more research into it.

2 Nephi 25:23 states that "... it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do."

The Bible does testify of the Book of Mormon.

    Ezek. 37: 15-19

    Stick of Judah = Bible

Stick of Joseph = Book of Mormon

    You do the logic...

  • contradictions in the bom

bom alma 7:10 and behold he shall be born of mary,at jerusalem, which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin

first Jesus was born in bethlehem, not jerusalem, second in none of the bible predictions is a name given, why then is mary name given in the bom

matt 2:1 now when Jesus was born in bethlehem of judea

the bom mentions a son of zedekiah named mulek in heleman 8:21

there is no mention of a son of zedekiah named mulek in the bible.

  • Think about it for a second...you're from a town called Everett, WA. And yet no one in Southern CA know where that's at. Unless you are from there, you're going to say Seattle. People in the Book of Mormon didn't know about Bethlehem, but they knew Jerusalem. Also, take note that Alma said "the land of Jerusalem", not the city, just to drive the point home.

  • Also, Zedikiah was blinded before his sons were killed. But there is a lot that is missing from the Bible. Who's to say that Mulek didn't escape and it was recorded in one of those lost books?
