  • I always thought this song was beautiful

  • haha took a couple times of watching to understand this anime. (doesn't make it any less great) :p still dont' completley understand. But then again it's been a while :D GREAT FUCKING SHOW!

  • @harpymale Sora was saved by Kite in the .hack// games. By defeating Skeith then finding his scythe in another dungeon later on, Sora is released and grants you his weapons for Kite to use.

  • this song is so creppy but in the same time is so sad T.T why did people are so bad to tsukasa...its so anfair!!!

  • "If, you are near, to the dark, I will tell you 'bout the sun. You are here, no escape, from my visions of the world. You will cry, all alone, but it does not mean a thiiiing... to meeee. Knowing the song, I will sing, till the darkness comes to sleep. Come to me, I will tell, about the secret of the sun, it's in you, not in me, but it does not mean a thiiiing... to yooou." ♪

  • isnt aura suppose to be good?

  • who tried to kill tsukasa in the end of the vid?

  • Rx: Att. Seekers (19-45) 2011NY - Ostentatious/ Time Chasers/ Civilians

  • i like this one

  • tsukasa makes me sad...

  • Great song, but why is the video about Tsukasa and not Aura?

  • @Dyno247365 Because Tsukasa ~IS~ Aura. Or rather, her consciousness is linked to the sleeping Aura, and the reason Morgana tried to torment Tsukasa is so that Aura would be a spiteful asshole when she woke up.

  • @MarethRavenlocke Don't think Tsukasa is Aura. But I can't tell the meaning of ~ in your comment if you didn't mean that. Anyway, wasn't it that Tsukasa was the key to unlocking Aura or something like that?

  • @kakorot84 The ~'s are for emphasis. Tsukasa is the key to Aura's awakening ~because~ her consciousness in linked to Aura. So for all practical purposes, Tsukasa is also Aura. If Tsukasa is negative and emo when Aura awakens, so too will Aura be. But if Tsukasa is a normal, happy person when Aura awakens, again, so too shall Aura be. Morgana, the AI in charge of being the PCs' malefactor, wants Aura to awaken spiteful and negative, therefore she abuses Tsukasa by repeatedly killing her.

  • @MarethRavenlocke You are right on most of that info, but wrong on the connection between the two. Tsukasa is key to the awakening of Aura, but the two are separate entities. Morganna (the omniscient AI of The World) realized it would be terminated once Aura awoke. So it sought to delay Aura's awakening by using Tsukasa's negative emotions to keep Aura dormant. I don't completely understand how exactly that worked, but that's the basics of it pretty much.

  • @P4per126 Morganna is not ~the~ omniscient AI of The World, she's ~an~ omniscient AI of The World. Aura is the other. Harald Hoerwick created them both to serve as opposing forces. Morganna is constantly trying to kill the players, while Aura is trying to help them. Each player's level determines the amount of influence Morganna is allowed over that player's circumstances in The World. That's why The World is always the perfect difficulty.

  • @P4per126 Morganna would not be terminated when Aura awakens, rather, they were meant to start up at the same time. Aura, however, was delayed for some unknown reason. Morganna took that opportunity to try to corrupt Aura before her awakening was complete, so that Aura would awaken as a malevolent AI goddess, just like her. Then there would be two omniscient AIs trying to kill the players and none trying to help them. Morganna was only doing what she was programmed to do.

  • @P4per126 However, while Aura was asleep in Harald's black-box folder (that's the area where Aura sleeps on the levitating bed, by the way, inaccessible from the rest of The World except to Tsukasa, who warps on her own power without a Chaos Gate, and to Bear and Mimiru one time only, when they use the red hacked Chaos Gate that appears in Hidden, Forbidden, Holy Ground) Anyway, while Aura was asleep in there, Morganna needed to link her to The World at large in order to....

  • @P4per126 ....access her programming to corrupt it. That's where Tsukasa became necessary. It didn't even have to be Tsukasa. Morganna just chose Tsukasa because she didn't want to return to real life anyway, so it would be easier to pull her consciousness into The World. Tsukasa can hear Aura's thoughts and feel her pain, even though she's asleep. They're linked at such an intrinsic level that they are, for all intents and purposes, the same soul in separate bodies.

  • @MarethRavenlocke And this is your theory based on your observations from the anime and games? Or is this the official explanation that was released?

  • @P4per126 This is just what I got out of the story. That's the best thing about .hack, especially //SIGN. There're so many ways to interpret the imagery used in the show :D

  • Macha

  • I personally believe tsukasa when he sas hes not a girl, even bear believed tsukasa, i wish we could play games like this in real life, that would be amazing...

  • @killervandal666 Tsukasa is a girl. You see her in real life at episode 25. :3

  • @Schylige Yep. She even continues a lesbian relationship with Subaru, who's confined to a wheelchair outside The World. I love how open .hack is. If only the real world were that tolerant.

  • @killervandal666 She was being brainwashed by Morganna as part of an effort to disassociate her from her real memories. It worked as well as it did because she personally didn't want to remember, and wanted to stay in the World forever. She picked a guy character because she didn't want to act like a girl online.

  • The beginning with the police finding the girl in the coma happened after the guardian stabs sliver knight so I thought at first his player was a girl. Did any one else think that the first time they watched it.

  • KEEP IT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPP! :DDDDDDDD

  • Why is this song so damn creepy? : (

Even the evil version doesn't give me the chills...

  • I always thought that maho was a mother figure that morganna created for tsukasa, because I remember tsukasa saying his mother was dead in the first dungeon thingy s/he went on with bear and mimiru

  • The voice somehow reminds me of Emilie Autumn o.O

  • this song in .hack has always made me curious, forboding and ominous and hopeful at the same time. that cat, i wonder what it really is, definitely not tsukasa's mother's spirit

  • @WintersFinalstand The Cat Macha, was one of the AI's inside the world. I know the founder of The World created Aura and Morganna the two main ones. And I believe Macha was Morganna's creation? I could be kind of off on this but the cat was one of the AI of 8 that Kite and BlackRose had to defeat. They recreated the The World games into a Manga you should be able to read and and get more info. I read it so long ago, so I only remember bits and pieces.

  • @hebed633 Maha is indeed a precursor to Macha. At one point, he betrays Morganna and was recreated into the phase of the Temptress. I'm not exactly sure what his original purpose was, but I believe Morganna used him to try and keep Tsukasa from ever wanting to leave The World. He was a reason to stay, essentially, and made it possible for Tsukasa to move about outside of normal pathways and to get back to the "garden".

  • Loved this program and every song when I was younger, I still do it btw xp <3

  • loved this anime. song always gave me the chills lol ^.^

  • nothing to do with the song but maha is so much better then mia even though there the same

  • who sang dis?

  • 2:04, what do those slugs symbolize?

  • " The sun is in your eyes ". Fantastic .

  • at 1:10 i cried my eyes out :'(

  • for anyone who watched it on the cartoon network when it came out... find someone who has the series in a boxset and watch it... It answers SO many questions

  • actually thats not what the doctor said when it was originally released in the us it was in english there was a entire argument the doctor fought against his wish to kill tsukasa

  • thats soo dumb i was hopeing he would save the girl haha.

  • my favorite song in the entire series <3

  • Anyone remembers Sora being knocked into a Coma in the Real World after betraying the Virus thingy..? Then all of a sudden in the final episode he is back and as if nothing happened, I'm curious why they did that... the ending was so confusing, its as if a whole section of .hack//sign was missing :(

  • @harpymale he goes into the coma in the final episode of .hack//sign, he comes back in the video game version (.hack//infection) of the next series but I'm not sure about the tv version.

  • @harpymale .//Hack is probably the the longest video game intro to ever be created. There was a series of games made that continues the .//Hack Sign story, and Sora is saved in one of them. The final episode of .//Hack Sign takes place after the games.

  • @harpymale that last part takes place after the 1st set of games, thats why kite and the other characters from the game are also there

  • @harpymale You cannot complete the puzzle of .hack if you are missing pieces of it. Your question is answered in the first four video games when Kite is hunting a rumored floating staff it turns out to be skeith's staff however Kite had already defeated to Skeith to His surprise the staff dissapears and Sora comes out of it Sora says thank you then he dissapears so to answer your question Kite saved him

  • Comment removed

  • @harpymale you would have to play the .hack games to understand how Sora was saved

  • @harpymale Don't you mean Morgana, Aura's mother? I'm honestly thinking that the Sora that returned was just an Ai or something sorta like how Aura is.

  • @harpymale You mean in Unison? Becasue something is missin! The first four games!

  • awesome anime!

  • Love hack sign it a nice game.In the series was lovely, filled with lots of gd char...xd

  • think this song is by see-saw tube it as See-saw - Aura, there are more of their songs and are really good

  • wow this helped me out a lot! i'm surprised it helped others i'd love to find out what this song is called and who did it.

  • hey you know i've finally noticed... maha is a cat... there's a refference to one of tsukasa's memories about the kitty...

  • @dodobirdies - pretty sure the writer just has a thing for cats...cuz theres also Mia, Endrance's cat, phase 6: macha, and tabby

  • @OakleafRanger yea probably but I think that the writer did link maha with tsukasa's childhood memory... maha is her gaurdian in the world and the only memory that she reflected upon when hit by the invincible monster...was when she was feeding the kitty. btw those are not in .hacksign right cause I don't remember all of them... it's been a while but still I'd think I'd remember atleast one of them in .hack sign

  • @OakleafRanger Apparently Mia is macha's reincarnation. :/ i watched i video on it.

  • @LilMidna13 - idk, i didn't get to the part in the game where she transforms into macha (the epitaph) and you have to beat her...

  • anybody thought of this " Tsukasa is a reverse Trap"?

  • If you become creative and really think about it

this would make a good Hip Hop Instrumental

  • @JmansFragments - I agree on that; this would've made a great beat.

  • @SolenmSerpent i will make it into one

  • I don't get the end, did the father pull the plug? didn't the doctor ask him if he wanted to? the doc fought him and put the plug back in so what was that about?

  • @mavrickmav521 he tried to kill her. She was in a coma, but not vegetative state. There was no reason to pull her plug; meaning he was trying to murder her. Unlike if she was in a vegetative or declining state where 'pulling the plug' might be considered merciful. Not to mention that it was highly suggested that her father's abuse was the reason she was in the hospital in the first place. =/

  • @CRdreamer

She went into coma because her conscious was in the game. Though I do admit the father seemed rather abusive.

  • @demonicangel226 I always thought the two were connected maybe I was just looking at it wrong, but it seemed like his abuse drove Tsukasa to the World and his/her lack of connection/want to retreat from the real world let the coma take hold much easier. But I may be connecting things that didn't actually overlay ^^*

Still, he did try to kill her & there is strong evidence that he abused her in the real world. Isn't it b/c of that abuse that Bear (Ryo?) ends up adopting Tsukasa (An?)

  • @CRdreamer yes, that was supposed to be the general idea...all the way through they show clips of her father mistreating her, and bear mentions a girl who is covered in bruises so much that it's surprising she could walk...then her father tried to unplug her and so she would be taken away...Bear offered to adopt her so she would have a place to go once she left "The World"...You actually see her leaving the hospital and meeting the real Tsukasa at the end of the credits in the last episode too.

  • @CRdreamer yea, the wiki says her dad wanted a daughter and blames the mothers death on tsubasa, to the degree he won't let her use feminine hygiene products and such.

Crazy stuff. Adds that extra sharp point of realism that really helped push the presentation and incentive for the whole story.

  • damn gud gothic music

  • poor kitty

  • Poor kitty what happend to him D:

i was like aawwwww :) when he drunk the little bit of milk

  • @TinyToxicTear most likely it's dead.

  • can anyone tell me the full name of the song like the person who sings it please and thank you. btw very beautiful amv....kinda tearing up over here.

  • @zarethachips9

Yuki Kajiura - Aura from .hack//sign ost

  • i heard this song has a hidden message.....anyone willing to tell me what it is?

  • Like many parts of the anime, I found it kind of hard to sit through... but it's still good.

  • The .Hack Sing sound track has always impressed me.

  • This show is fucking amazing, hands down.

  • 21 people are retarded! This anime and song are awesome!

  • I feel sad for him and the cat...

  • Haunting and yet beautiful at the same time!!!!!!!!

  • Mother must be mad at me!!!!!!!!

  • 21 people are stuck in The World

  • @ORCHIONE make that 23

  • @ORCHIONE yeah lol I guess seeing as they are forced to hear the song repeat every 10 minutes inbetween replays of the other songs lol they must get mad

  • @ORCHIONE i would kill almost anyone to be stuck in [THE WORLD]

  • @DechuDesir1 Not if that was your sanctuary to escape to during the day. Similar to how people go and do sports and etc to escape having to deal with things.

  • @DechuDesir1 Me too. Though I'd prefer V2-dat steampunk, but V1 would still be fucking amazing.

  • I love this anime and what a depressing song. This was a great video Kudos to you HeldOnyx.

  • wow i cant believe i said that fuck its been a while since ive seen the anime SO taking back my last comment THIS VID IS PERFECT (what through me off was this is the scene where Evil aura plays)

  • Great vid theres just one thing... this isent aura its evil aura other than the name mixup its a fantastic vid

  • What's the name of the song?

  • @PhoenixArceus15 it says in the title.Aura

  • 20 people dont have taste in good music

  • Aww, the poor kitty got dragged off. It really is unfair how adults are so mean, huh.

  • Me encanta el ritmo y la letra de esa canción *¬*

    es hipnotizador :D

  • beautiful song

  • 2:33

The secwet of the sun lol

  • creepy music O_O but i love it

  • Out of all the .Hack series Sign is the best in my opinion.

  • i know this is off topic ona song but if u did not know in 2005 japan made an MMORPG JUST LIKE The World, it had dungeons and everything even the data drain....but sadly after a year they closed the servers and it never reached the states. it was called .hack//Fragment and it sounded relle awesome....we need to rise and .hack fans and demand a game just like that to be made!

  • @ChickenNggetMan It was supposed to simulate the beta version of The World, which was called Fragment, where you had to input individual letters for dungeons instead of words like in The World. The problem with it was that the offline mode was basically the original 4 .hack games w/o any of the story, and the online mode, there weren't they many dungeons as users were supposed to create them on their own or something like that. (To be continued)

  • @ChickenNggetMan With that said, there are MMOs today that use instanced dungeons to create random dungeons for every time an individual user goes in, so that should mean that servers today are powerful enough to support something like Fragment/The World properly. If not, maybe in the near future.

  • this is just goin off on a limb but the cat person would that resemble the cat she(tsukasa) was taking care of as a child? or r they 2 complete different things?

  • There is no question... ii need this in ma fav list

  • U r here, No escape! From my visions of the world...

  • The evil one is creepy and purely dark, the normal version is depressing and seems to signify worthlessness more, and the awakening version is peace and freedom. .Hack is by far my favorite anime series...besides twilight bracelet which in my opinion sucked

  • @ExileOfSand you should listen to this song reversed its really creepy just look up aura reversed on youtube

  • really really good for your first amv i have to say!

  • jnkjn

  • The evil aura version is way creepier.. but this one is so beatifull it makes you forget its so sad.. love it.

  • I can't believe I didn't know tsukasa was a girl *Facepalm* she was wearing a skirt for crying out loud! Also, I feel so sorry for her.

  • @tmanbao Tsukasa's avatar is a male, so it's understandable. (The 'skirt' is a traditional Japanese Video Game tradition where female spellcasters wear skirts and male spellcasters wear 'man-robes.')

  • @tmanbao Don't feel bad, it's not revealed until like. 3/4s of the way through the series that she's a girl. The voice is very gender ambiguous, and her avatar is male.

  • Macha looks so scary!

  • This show was the shit, very eery and surreal

  • Brings back fond memories, this series and its soundtrack do.

  • soo...depressing song...

  • emo song much?

  • oh, my bad.

  • Super amv...:D

  • "

The sun is in your eyes

The sun is in your ears

I hope you see the sun

    Someday in the darkness"

This song is just too awesome... :]

  • I can't believe the father wanted to kill his own daughter.

  • @shadowgirl9891 its actually her step-father i think

  • act the part 2:35 or so the green words says want to pull the plug and then the father says yes if u guy want to know

  • too bad i dont cry alone i cry in groups haha

  • TO THE SEVENTEEN PEOPLE WHO HATE THIS! go f*ck yourselves, this is great

  • That was mean.

  • What did Tsukasa's dad do with the kitten?

  • @shadowgirl9891 he killed it

  • @shadowgirl9891 I don't think we want to know...D:

  • This song used to freak me out but it's alluringly amazing. <3

  • Aura definiatly is not a nice goddess. xD

She is pretty damn cold, actually. In the first games, you help her because she can help you, win/win situation. In GU, the only thing she says to you is basicially: I don't want to help, so fuck off.

  • @RacheengelKratos Legend of the twilight she helps them just fine though 0_o or is that non-cannon/wrong goddess.

  • @BottledFairie the anime is non-canon, while the manga is. And well, in the manga, she helps them since they help her 'daughter'... Aura isn't easy to understand. Well, she's not supposed to be understood.

  • @RacheengelKratos I suppose >.>

  • all i got to say is that without the music in the anime i would have never remembered it

who ever sings these songs has a beautiful voice

  • The World would be a perfect escape from the real world.

  • @BooDoo1Say2Say You're kidding, right?

  • loved this song~~ o.o

  • i love this anime. People say anime like Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain are the best anime ever made. I admit those are great anime but I think that .Hack//SIgn is the best.

  • There's an "evil" version of "Aura" but I find this version far more sinister. Still a beautiful song though.

  • I love this song. Surprisingly it helped me out of depression. o.O

  • @ElvenShalafi Oh man me too. Like deeeeeeep depression. or maybe it prolonged it. Either way kept me from killing myself. long time ago...

  • @koberask Haha, yeah, I guess it helped me out i'm not sure. =) but it kept me alive.

  • @ElvenShalafi Amazingly, it helped me out of my depression, too. O_o

  • Spoiler: Tsukasa is a girl.

  • Omg.....you guys need to watch the anime and not look deeper.......*WARNING*...Posts that say Spoiler aren't Spoilers...

  • I love this song I could listen to the hours I land the video is great i love the series daswegen really nice video

  • where is this spoiler???!?!??!?......never saw anything about a spoiler...and if you meant the guy ( who is a girl) you learn that in like the 5 epis...so it's not a spoiler...

  • @crystal4616 SPOILER they dont confirm it in the 5th ep, they theorize it, there is no proof by then of tsukasa being a girl or a boy, it is only confirmed around the 22nd episode when tsukasa thinks what he/she realy is, its confirmed in the 3rd to last ep when you see him/her.

  • I would be scared if i got trapped in a video game. Woah just woah!

  • @Thedeadmatrix i wouldnt, Cause i'd be able to PK everybody i saw... but i do that already :D

  • the part with the kitten just kills me.

i work with 2 different cat rescues and have saved many cats and even though its animated it tugs at me.

  • i like this song and the anime hack//sign is a really good and sad anime.the girl i'm feeling so sorry for her. All that what she went throw was hard and sad but the end was really good^^ thx for uploading

  • This was my fav song for a very long time. I had the cd and I scratched it up just from listening to this play over and over.

It is such a cold song. It doesn't offer any comfort, only that you should find your own way out of your darkness. It was very enchanting and I still love this song to death now.

  • i like this song and the show

  • this song is perfect for me

  • This is a pretty cold song. "you will die alone but it doesn't mean a thing to me." depressing

  • Yes it is a cold song *giggles* but it says cry instead of die! But though cold and depressing ... but me love it still!♥

By the way thank you all for watching and rating!

  • @HeldOnyx I think it's appropriate for the .//hack series songs, to be cold and depressing. Funnily enough, The World can be a sad, and cruel place, it's really, just like the real world. Only a fool would attempt to use that game to escape their real life.

  • @HeldOnyx lmfao, i thought the same thing tho 0.o

  • it's cry not die but ya it is a depressing song

  • dude... tats like a major spoiler!

  • @xSakijix The being trapped in a video game isn't a spoiler, however the fact that you spoiled an extremely huge plot twist in the anime IS a spoiler. I have no idea how you can't even see how it isn't a spoiler.

  • @LanHikari7 well the plot itself is the biggest spoiler.

  • @xSakijix SPOILER ALERT

  • @xSakijix you suck balls
