  • Thanks wirefly:) how much is it from sprint now??

  • @10starpop I don't know how much the Nexus S is from Sprint... you'll have to check with Sprint on that. On Wirefly, the Sprint version of the Nexus S is at a really, really good price. Think of the best price you can imagine, and that's the price for the Sprint version of the Nexus S on Wirefly. That's the price right now, but they can change at any time.

  • @10starpop it's free now if u start a new contract

  • Is this phone good for texting and playing games on or another phone would be better???

  • @10starpop I think the Nexus S is a good phone for texting and playing games. It has a beautiful display that's also a nice size, and that makes it good for just about anything that requires using the display.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @10starpop been dealing with nexus, not a good product if u use it 24/7,the thing slows down after 2 weeks of heavy use

  • i dont know how apple does it but they just keep raping all these other phones....... Even though theres isnt better, BUT they are so versatile, link in with Anything

  • What's better the nexus s 4g or the samsung epic 4g?

  • @lusternoky The Nexus S 4G has the most current version of Android, but the Epic 4G has the nicest keyboard on any Android phone. Otherwise, they have similar performance. One other big difference: The Epic 4G has a memory expansion slot while the Nexus S does not. That might be important to some people.

  • Waiting for nexus prime :)

  • Evo 3d or Nexus X? What would you recommend Bob?

  • @Benrocks10198 I'd go with the EVO 3D in a heartbeat. It's more powerful, has a higher-resolution display (and a larger display) and it more "fun." The Nexus S is nice and has a pretty AMOLED display, but I prefer the bigger size and higher resolution of the EVO 3D.

  • @wirefly Thanks.

  • but does this phone have a desinated camera key?

  • @juicylovex3ily No, the Nexus S 4G does not have a dedicated camera shutter button.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • IM soo getting this phone :)

  • @juicylovex3ily Wait for the Nexus Prime

  • Im about to switch over to Sprint next mont and I was wonder which would be a better phone between this Nexus S 4g or the HTC Arrive?

  • @tro581 The HTC Arrive runs the Windows Phone 7 operating system and the Samsung Nexus S 4G runs a clean version of Android 2.3. That makes them very different, but both are good phones. I'm more comfortable with Android than I am with WP7, so I would go with the Nexus S 4G. However, this is a highly personal choice and you should try both before you decide.

  • sprint doesn't use a sim card?

  • @maxtherocker6 No, Sprint and Verizon use CDMA technology for 3G, which does not use a SIM card. Sprint's WiMax also does not require a SIM, but Verizon's LTE does use a SIM. (However, Verizon's LTE uses completely different technology from GSM, so GSM SIMs will not work for Verizon's LTE.)

  • Is this phone a HOT spot capable like my Epic 4G?

  • @jdcnorcal5 Yes, the Nexus S 4G can do a WiFi hotspot.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • I'm trying to decide between the nexus and the sprint htc evo. After all is said and done, the price difference is about 30 bucks in favor of the HTC (of course). I realize a lot of it comes down to personal preference, but i'd still like an opinion if i could get one. as far as personal pref goes, i don't know why i would pick one over the other except for the price diff. I really dont know much about either phone. Could you help me out?

  • @bearmanguy Which HTC EVO are you considering? There are at least three.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly My provider is sprint and like the majority of america i only have 3g available, though its 4g compatible. Its not the 3D and its not the phone with a slide out keypad. Other than that im not quite sure what other specifics i can add.

  • @bearmanguy There are three "EVO" phones from HTC: EVO Shift, EVO 4G and EVO 3D. I assume that you are talking about the EVO 4G, which Wirefly is currently offering for free with a new Sprint account. Between the Nexus S 4G and the EVO 4G, I probably lean toward the EVO 4G just a little. I like the sleek shape and size of the Nexus S, and the AMOLED display is excellent. But the EVO has expandable memory and a bigger display, plus I like the Sense UI.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly thankyou!

  • @wirefly would you recommend the nexus s 4g or motorola photon for an upgrade?

  • @goombagoon84 The Nexus S 4G has a great display and sleek shape/size. It is not nearly as "powerful" as we expect the Motorola Photon to be, but I've not actually seen the Photon yet. You might want to also consider the HTC EVO 3D, which is an excellent phone. And the older HTC EVO 4G is about as powerful as the Nexus S, but is now at a much lower cost.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wireflt thanks for the reply Im leaning toward the nexus s and I just got the htc evo view its great. Do u know anything about google tv?

  • @wwefan8908 No, sorry... I don't really know anything yet about Google TV.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • Im looking at the evo shift or the nexus s for an upgrade from my lg optimus s I love htc sense but nexus seems very fast but I wish it had at least touch wiz. Which phone should I choose.

  • @wwefan8908 You should look at the Samsung Epic 4G. I like it a little better than the EVO Shift and it has the same nice AMOLED display on the Nexus S. The Epic 4G also has TouchWiz and a nice keyboard.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • I would really love to see a review of the Nexus S 4G vs. the Sprint Evo SHIFT.

  • I almost got this, but the external speaker seems too quiet and seems outspec'd. Evo 3D it is

  • Did you notice any of the signal issues that many NS4G users are complaining about?

  • @lafd313 The Samsung Nexus S 4G has gotten a lot of use around the Wirefly office and there have been not complaints about signal issues. As far as I can tell, it is a solid phone.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • I haven't seen the Motorola Photon yet but it sounds intriguing. As for the rest, I prefer the EVO 3D. I've used it and know it's a terrific phone.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly or would you take the evo 3d over evo 4g, nexus s 4g, and motorola photon?

  • @goombagoon84 I haven't seen the Motorola Photon 4G yet, but the information so far looks pretty good. I'll reserve judgment until I see it. Of the rest, I'll take the EVO 3D if I must choose.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • This or Evo 3D?

  • @balgra13g definetly evo 3D! im gettin it

  • I really don't understand the decision to put the headphone jack at the bottom, or to not have a microSD slot, but o well...

  • Hi Bob!

  • would you recommend this or the Epic 4g?

  • @OfficialJCM My preference is for the Epic 4G but the Nexus S 4G is a little friendlier in your pocket. (In other words, it's lighter and thinner.) However, the Epic 4G is one of my all-time faves at the moment.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • was there a clear screen protector already on it when it came out of the box? or do you have to buy one yourself?

    thanks!

  • @hXcDINORAWR The phone comes with a temporary screen protector, which is really only for protecting the screen during shipping. It is not intended to be a functional screen protector.

However, Wirefly sells screen protectors, so check for the price on Wirefly before you buy.

  • How does the GPS work while walking around a city? Does it pick up enough satellites to be pretty accurate? And how are the accessibility features (such as screen readers like TalkBack, etc.)?

  • @GirlwtheDog I have not specifically used the GPS in the Nexus S 4G while walking, but it works perfectly in a car. I have walked with other Android cell phones and had no problems at all in cities. In fact, it's a fantastic feature.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • Your reviews are really good man. Also I got an EVO 4G and the Netflix app is also now available on these phones as well. I really like the Google Voice integration. Everytime I dial out I get the option to do it with my Google Voice number or cell phone number.

  • i just started working with BestBuyMobile. I love your videos. How can i get a job doing what you do?

  • @cljohns19 Practice, practice, practice. I've written 800 reviews on sites like Epinions and Viewpoints, and have shot and posted more than 100 YouTube videos. Then I got hired by Wirefly.

Get a camera and start reviewing products on video. Post them on YouTube and listen to what people say. You'll get better with each review.

  • when u going to do a reveiw for iphone4s or 5

  • @LEGOCAMARO Wirefly doesn't sell the iPhone, so we will probably never have a review of an iPhone by itself. We will probably do Schmackdowns with the latest iPhone whenever it becomes available. And no one (except Apple) knows when the next iPhone will become available.

    Bob at Wirefly

  • @wirefly cool thanks Bob

  • Nice review

  • Was the mistake the fact that it does not do 720p recording, an it actually does 480p?

  • @TacTicsPro2 Yes. There was no easy way to fix that while the video was on YouTube, so I had to take it down to fix it. Sorry for screwing it up!

    Bob at Wirefly

  • where was the mistake?

  • A Mistake?
