Oo! um, letsee: Eragon (and that series), The book of three was a good series, The Chronicles of Narnia is really good! Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams is really good but not an easy read (4 800 page books), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Sci-fi but so funny!). Those are all good and I'm sure there are more that I'm not thinking of.
