  • @TexasWhitetails1 never knew that. thanks for the tip

  • @TexasWhitetails1 It doesn't have to be dark outside to see a Lumenok. What happens with the Lazer Eye when you hit an immovable hard object? Lights out forever. The Lumenok's battery retention system allows the battery to be flung forward without damage to the Lumenok or the battery under such conditions. You only have to reinstall the battery to put it back into service. It is a good idea to install a foam rubber earplug in the shaft. Enjoy the lighted nocks though. Heck of a concept.

  • @TexasWhitetails1 Lazy Eyes? There are treatments for that! Really, Homade lighted nocks or Lazer Eyes both suffer the same fate. They fail prematurely. The switch in them is very fragile. It was designed for use in fishing bobbers. The Lumenok is many times brighter than either of the bobber light offerings. The real Lumenok has no switch. It relies on the conductive carbon in an arrow to complete the circuit It has a battery with twice the capacity that can be easily changed.

  • look at my homemade lumenoks... ;)

  • @Gulaschtorte Make no mistake, those are not Lumenoks. Maybe homade Laser Eyes or Nockturnals, but not Lumenoks.

  • @5Ivan7 oh.. thaks I am unfortunately not a native speaker and I've only heard the expression "Lumenoks" for this kind of arrows..

Which would be a better fitting expression for my video?

  • @Gulaschtorte That is because the Lumenok is the al lighted nock that is most recognized as the best and brightest. Lumenok is the name that we at the Burt Coyote Co. copyrighted for use as the name of our product. Congrats on building your own, but if you ever want a lighted nock that is incrediblt bright and easy to use, try a Lumenok.

  • Call the folks at The Block. They will hook you up.

  • one day im gonna open a bow range/shop, would i have to contact block to get those large targets??thanks

  • wow thats really loud inside.

  • Im No Expert Either but if I was Loosing Light And about to track my kill I would Want LUMENOK! all DAY!

  • I was like damn when I saw you shoot the Lumenok. I am glad I bought some for myself!!!

  • how much do lumenoks usually cost?

  • @SuperBlueflag Lumenoks are $9.99 each, but some stores sell a package of 3 for around $24.99.

  • lumenok shows a big difference you can use lumenok i imagine to find arrows judge the wind and see if your target will be taking a long walk.

  • wow, i never knew there was that much of a difference

  • Even if they don't help u to find a downed animal, if you do miss it's nice to have the light to help find that big money arrow! Yes?

  • im no expert, but the lumenok is brighter

  • i have shot both the lumenok and the tracers and dont overly care for eather.. but.. i have had more problems with the tracers. they are set off by a magnent when shot wich then turns the light on. problem # 1- the magnent has fallen off on me. #2 rain and blood are not good on the tracers. all of mine quit working after getting moisture in them. #3 some tracers are brighter than the others. idk why. they just are. but damn it is alot of fun to shoot 70 or 80 yrds in the dark and watch them fly

  • I do believe the lumenok is a little brighter. Plus the other brands just tried to copy lumenok so that puts them lower IMO.

  • lumenok is far superior i shot a tracer and my friend shot a lumenok side by side his was 20x brighter i am switching

  • Hey, it's all just YouTube.

Looks to me like the Lumenok performed better but I won't use either one. They look pretty in the videos but unless they can light the way to a down animal they're just window dressing.

That's just me, anyone else might see a good use for them. If it improves the experience it's worth the expense.

  • @mal54mac ...seeing the quality of your delivery and recovering your arrow give it a little validity though, right?

  • Better 'grammer'? LOL!

    How's it's spelling?

    (That should be, 'grammar', BTW.)

  • You got me on the Grammar.

LuckyDrew7 is calling me out. The test was not Bogus. That was filmed with a new Tracer right out of the package the first year they introduced it. They may have improved it prior to getting them in his hands, but the fact remains. They are a Chinese copy of a Lumenok, which is still made in the USA.

  • Nonsense. I shoot both. They are equally bright when their batteries are new. This test is bogus.

  • I didn't even know about such things. I am going to go buy some next weekend. I would ask a bunch of questions as far as battery life and all that stuff, but I will just do that research now and figure it out way quicker :-)

  • wow ...im sold can i get em canada?....

  • ya, u can get them here in canada, but u can makje them for about $5 instead if u have the time, there is even a video of it here somewhere on how to make them

  • I shot an 8-point michigan buck last year with a lumenok. It was cool to see exactly where my arrow went. LUMENOK RULES

  • The Lumenok works very well. It is more expensive, but it comes with better grammer.

  • iv made crossbow lighted nocks there easy to make u can make 3 for what it costs for 1 in the store and there work very good

  • Thanks, I appreciate that floks are paying attention. Made in America... Means something

  • ur damn right!

  • great video i believe you helped my decision between these two

  • lumenoks are way better.i bought a cheap recurve bow and some lumenoks and shot a squirrel in my backyard from about 10 yards aways and it went right through the squirrel and stuck in theshingles on top of my neighbors garadge. i had to get it lol

  • sounds like your really sticking to saftey rules

  • yep lol

  • LoL.

Indeed. Then a month later when it rained the neighbor probably wondered why his roof was leaking :p

  • Lumenok

  • I think tracer is not as good as it should be, even the home made lighted noks are brighter then these noks. Not to mention they are 1/3 the prices of lumenok or tracer.

Simplest way is to use 2 standard noks, super glue and a "Nite Brite - less then $4.00" push button bobber light. Look up a video on "Home made lighted noks" If you are any kind of bow user you have plenty of old noks around.

So there you have it. lumenok or homemade noks give off more light.

  • Also since i ran out of characters to finish my comment. Tracer uses magnets and does not light up if your magnet is not positioned correctly.

Ever shot one that did not light?

  • Arrowhead your not making your comment on first hand knowledge there. Lumenok is way brighter then tracers. I have tried both and lumenok is way brighter. Now in defense of tracer, the battery will last longer because of it flashing and it as well can be seen in low light conditions just as easy. But the point of this video is what nok is brighter. And clearly by personal usage. Lumenok is brighter hands down. I suggest you try comparing yourself before making such comments next time.

  • lumenock all the way

  • Sir, You take it for what you like. Both products depicted in this video were new out of the package. I have tried several Tracers, and the lumenok measures on average 10 times brighter than its. competitor the Tracer bt Easton.

Those measurewments were taken using a digital light meter Model LX801

  • hey this is an idea, take it how ever you want, but your should try lumenok's and the G5's to see which is better

  • lumenok is better
