@TheForgottenFlesh Why even as a demon would you not be able to defend youre self if a hoodlum was taking you out to kill you at the behest of a gun??????????/ bull
@mrbamajama Simple, the sun didn't affect him yet. It's no different than a werewolf or Hyde type monster. It happens when it happens, it's not an automatic thing when he's in danger.
Same music was used for "Night Of The Living Dead".This movie was A.K.A. "Lassie vs. The Horny Toad Man".What Joan Rivers would look like without cosmetic surgery. The Demon will battle Snake Pliskin in the 2011 movie release of "Escape From LA Terrarium".
@Fintinobrien - THANKYOU! I feel the same way- I've decided that I just won't return to Channels that do that. Most don't -hopefully we can keep it that way.
The movie utilized the old stock cue library of its credited "composer", John Seely, who'd distribute cues by an immense multitude of composrs out of Capitol Records, the same ones heard in so many popular productions, right down to cartooons and TV science fiction and comedy shows, of the era..The trailer seen elsewhere's narrated by the one and only Paul Frees [doesn't taske much to recognize that voice!].
Great classic sci-fi fun here! Some great lines..."Gil's always careful when he handles isotopes"..."whiskey and soda mix, not whiskey and science"!!!
So...the story is about a man exposed to radiation and the sun turns him into a horney lizard. . .riiiight. Not as bad as "The Incredible Melting Man" but still bad, still no acting but at least this has a poor story. I guess that's better compared to none. I take it this was made when Breast Implants started becoming popular...AHEM. Is that music from The Wolfman I hear around the thirty-six minute mark?
Arguably one of the greatest one-star films ever made. Robert Clarke's acting abilities are exceeded ONLY by the Immortral William Shatner, and the supporting cast was the best since the characters in "The Wizard of Oz". Kudos! A masterpiece from the the vault of Pacific International Pictures, Inc.

i saw this on saturday nights on chiller theatre on wpix ch 11 in the 60s i was fascinated by the demon then, but now, damn trudy is hot, funny how you miss those things at 7 or 8 !!
Gotta love these cheesy old B-movies. Made a spoof of them myself years ago. How come every time he turned into the monster, he looked like he soiled himself. LOL
Notice at the end, when the police car is driving off, it's going to drive into a fence.
The Hideous Sun Demon is a Classic SciFi and the mouse is quite a little funny byt they made reference to it when they played on a Halloween television marathon this past Halloween. No mice were hurt in the Movie when the Sun Demon picked up and squeezed just some type of special effect I wonder if that mouse is still around LOL.
I remember seeing the late great actor Robert Clarke as a regular on a syndicated show called "Faith for Today" (produced by the 7th Day Adventist Church, though I don't think Robert was a 7th Day Adventist). It played on a local indepdendent TV station in the 70's & 80's. Robert portrayed a doctor at the fictional "Westbrook Hospital". And he put out an interesting autobiography before he died..."To B or Not to B" (as in B movie...which most of his films were). Thanks for posting this!
Solid old B movie!** B to A- rating (see if, you never saw it before)** I can see why this is a cult classic, great monster makeup for the time period! Could've been one of the classic monster greats, if better executed. I could see a good battle royal between the "Demon" and the "Creature from the Black lagoon" or the "Wolf-man." Too bad, "the demon" faded into obscurity. Maybe, someone will make a modern day remake..hmmm
solid old B movie...great monster make-up for the period. The science lesson at the start was great.. I was waiting for J.R. Bob Dobbs to step in and save the day, LOL. I can see why its a cult classic..I love the sun change concept, if was a little more believable and not so fast. Too bad "the demon" never got any more popular, could you imagine him against the "creature from the black lagoon" or the wolf man? Could've been one of the greats if was a little better executed. just an opinion, A-

And why did you kill that poor rat if you didnt intend to eat it?
And where is Sergeant Joe Friday when the LAPD really needs him?

Really good! And, the actresses are hot (especially Trudy/Nan Peterson). With updated special effects, this would even be worth re-making, as the themes and pathos are the stuff of classic Sci Fi.
