When I play my video it stops for a few seconds and the counter is set to 5 second in front. And when the video starts to play, the video could be on 1 second through but it says 5.
I could use my 'awesome' maths skills and the audio is right but this is a problem that will keep coming back :/
@siousie26 I honestly have no idea what you're talking about here at all. lol Are you saying that when you try to play the video it will be choppy or something for a few seconds? I'm confused.
ehm kannst du vllt ein vid für dummis wie (mir) reinstellen wo du vllt ein anime vid das mit englischen untertitel ist wie man dan iwie den untertitel ins deutsche schreibt kannst du das vllt machen ? ^^
@twilightawakening You mean copying lines from one .ass file into another .ass file? If that's what you mean, just click on the first line you want to copy over, hold shift and select the last line you want to copy over. This will select all the lines inbetween the two as well. Now press CTRL + C (copy) Open up the new .ass and CTRL + V (Paste). That should do it.
@that1guytim You know how you used shift to make all the lines 0? I somehow managed to copy an entire row of times into another row, time for time. But I don't know how I did this....
@twilightawakening If you want to take one lines time and make it the same time for other lines, just click on the line that has the time you want the others to have and then hold shift and click on the lines below it or above it so you have them all selected. Now, click in the start time box and hit enter, then do the same for the end time and all the lines will have the same start and end times. I explain and show this in one of the parts of the tutorial. I'm not sure which though.
@twilightawakening So I guess you figured it out then. lol If you changed the times and committed the changes, then saved and closed the program, there's not much I can do for ya. You'll have to re-time the lines you messed up on. If you didn't save and close the program, you can just go up to edit and undo what you did.
@that1guytim Well, I was fooling around, and but it actually worked out for the better, since I was doing karaoke, but I don't remember what I did lol. I'll let you know if I find out though.
Megui is the program I use to encode into XviD avi's and h264 mkv's. I usually first run my filters through a lossless pass in V-dub, except for adding the hardsubs, that way it's easier to compress into XviD and h264.
Download and install avisynth, and megui. Then google "using textsub in avisynth." You'll use megui to encode the script you made in aegisub to the video you want it hardsubbed on.
Thanks for the comment, but in my experience, it's better to have the translator focused solely on translating. Now, if he knows how to time and is a timer as well, then doing them separately is no big deal and will have better results for you, IMO.
Although I know my fair share of Japanese, I don't know enough to do a proper TL. Sorry, but I can't help.
As for the topic we're discussing, I know a lot of TL's who HATE HATE HATE doing what you suggest. That's why 99% of fansub groups have a separate timer that's not their TLer.
Oh, Okay then just in my experience them. I ve have work with eclipse and Db and a reason why their staff i short ( eclipse) is because everyone knows how to everything. What i saying is, Quality people are always better than quantity
I can see a TL doing it, but I just know that most of them don't want to and won't do it. I know DB and Eclipse and as far as I've seen over the years, they've used a separate timer for their episodes. They may have had their TL do it occasionally due to some odd reason, but they don't do it on a norm.
I've worked with Rumbel, sMi, INP, Vegapunk, Tomodachi, and some others who I worked with secretely.
is this program free?

I have a few questions to ask.
1. Does this software work with anime?
2. Does the subs have to come from the script or do I wright the subs with my own freedom?
3. How does the raws of the anime I want to sub get onto the program?
therox94 1 year ago
@therox94 1. yes it does. If you watch this tutorial you'll see I'm timing a script for an anime...
2. No they don't have to come from a script. You can add lines in there yourself
3. You open it up in the program. If you watch the video you'll see.

Hey, thanks for the tutor. It`s really helpful.
But I always get the same problem, and it`s kinda frustrating already.
So when I open the avi video file, it opens but the picture of the video won`t show up.
And when it comes to the audio, it won`t even come out.
And.... yeah, I guess there`s more but those 2 are the problems that keeps holding me back.

how do you hardsub mk?
seigansama 2 years ago
mkv
seigansama 2 years ago
extract the ssa. srt. or ass. file then use virtual dub to hardsub it.
the file will be huge so then encode it and make it smaller with virtual dub
if you need help pm me.
MrStefan94 2 years ago
Thnx but i solved my mkv/mp4/hd prob.
i used megui

Download and install avisynth, and megui. Then google "using textsub in avisynth." You'll use megui to encode the script you made in aegisub to the video you want it hardsubbed on.

Or you can use AviRecomp. I use it with widows 7 flawless. :)

I have a question do you have a translator program for videos?
darkhero009 2 years ago
no, Aegisub does have a translating checker.
Bluffeddood 2 years ago
another great tip that will both save TIME and effort is
Teach you translator how to SUB using this program. Dont let em get too cocky
Have them watch the video. Listen Translate and do it
then they can send you the ASS files or ttext or what ever format your subs are.
then just add subs using their scrits SAVES a lot of time
Ps Make a Font for your translator too.....
Great Video Brw!
