i have one ferret and every thanksgiving we TRY to give him the liver and the heart of a chicken i am not sure wich one but, is it true that they will become agressive if they eat raw meat?
@hiphoplover24 The "aggressive" behaviour is more like a way for them to tell you that "this is mine", if you give raw meat, treats or regular food (from a store etc.), there's no point of trying to take it back. Give the right amount of food/treats to the animal and let it go.
@iceking123kitty Ferrets were designed to consume raw meat, bones and organs. To this day, ferrets in the UK and Europe are commonly fed raw diets (mostly consisting of rabbit). They have no issues digesting bones or any other raw meats. In fact, chicken bones are the easiest to digest and I feed them often.
@ilovenms It takes a lot of patience and persuasion. Older ferrets usually don't recognize meat as a food source after eating only kibbled foods since they were babies. Both my ferrets were fed only meat and mice as babies and therefore recognize them as food. My ferrets eat just about anything I give them because I varied their diet so much when they were babies.
@thomasdevinett Their fur is very soft on a full raw diet. I've recently had to switch back to 1/2 raw and 1/2 kibble and I've noticed their coats have become gross and scraggly. When I fed all raw, I'd feed them chicken/turkey necks, wings, legs, feet, backs, hearts and livers, beef heart, chunks, liver, kidney, goat tongue, pork chunks, heart, spleen, liver, whole rats, mice, rabbits and quail. It all sounds expensive but the asian food market is your best friend as a raw feeder.
@thomasdevinett Ferrets imprint on their food at a young age and after imprinting many ferrets are reluctant to try new foods. Your ferret doesn't recognize that meat is food. A raw diet should consist of 80% meat, 10% raw bone, 5% liver, and 5% other organs. This emulates the proportions found in whole prey like mice, rats, chicks, quail, and rabbit which can also be fed to ferrets. @hiphoplover24 No, there's no truth to this myth. A ferret (or cat, dog, tiger, lion, etc) will NOT become more aggressive when they taste raw meat.

Raw chicken doesn't make them sick? And are chicken bones okay for them to digest?
