After the hype of VIva ! its fun to watch these old videos. Some of these songs, I've never even heard before.

I don't think Coldplay has changed for the worse though. And they haven't deviated THAT much from their roots. They've actually stuck pretty close to their original style.

i think Coldplay is one of the only bands in history to truly stick to their roots and not change their style to conform. Chris Martin can't sing conventionally, his voice is too unique and their style is unlike any other. Coldplay will always be true.

Hahah, aw why do you hate it? I mean...I understand what you're saying I guess. But when bands don't want to be known as the same old stuff...they change it. That's what the Beatles did...And they did pretty fucking well! Hahaha.

I hope that's the case for Coldplay though...I love their old stuff, but their new stuff if just as good I believe.

Pretty sure they're not influenced by Radiohead. Radiohead is very different, especially by sound. And, tot tell you the truth, I don't like Radiohead at all, but that's because it approaches music in a different kind of way. At the end it's all music though, and I can understand why people would think that they sound like each other. (by the way Radiohead and Coldplay have very different influences, which are hard to connect)

Coldplay are TOTALLY influenced by radiohead- at least in their early years. Both takes huge cues from the great Jeff Buckley, especially vocally.
