@jfsa380 No, it really is a -300. Pause at 0:53 and look at the third-to-last window from the left. See the little bump below the window? That's the ditching dam that all the -300's have. Also note the rear galley door back there as well.
@War292004 well i'll be danged, so it is, looked up registration and comes back as DHC-8-311. why does Wells Fargo own the plane and how many do they own?
@ecuber11 The Dash 8 -100 is several rows shorter than this aircraft, which is a -300. I fly the 757 for US Airways , and I am based at KCLT , so I think I know the difference between a -100, and a -300
@8931alex Ok Alex I have a question, since your a pilot i thought i could ask you this, why do dash 8's always have the elevator, (back tail) down when they taxi or are parked?
Its taking off from runway 18R.

These were so much more comfortable to fly in than the CRJs have replaced most of them.

this is most definitely a -300, the -100 is much smaller than this
bladeere14 11 months ago
@bladeere14 absolutely a -100, as the cabin barely passes the rear of the engine nacelle. on the -300, the cabin is longer.

Possibly, I don't really know enough about them to know. I checked the tail number and listed the model it came back as.

@8931alex you may be right, but maybe its the video or something, it looks alot smaller
ecuber11 1 year ago
@ecuber11 The windows on the -100 are spaced differently than on the -300, that and the length are the easiest way to tell the difference
8931alex 1 year ago
@8931alex yeah, i can usually tell the difference between a 100 and 300, but this video makes it look like a 100
ecuber11 1 year ago
@ecuber11 Did you not capture the video yourself ?
8931alex 1 year ago
@8931alex its not my video, lol
ecuber11 1 year ago
@ecuber11 yeah it looks shorter from the video , but if you had done the video you could tell the difference.

@8931alex yeah, if i see a 300 in real life ill know it and same with the 100, lol but anyway thanks for clearing it up
