Almost the first band I ever saw. My brother said do you want to see the Sisters of Mercy I said why not. Was about 15 had never heard of them but they were good live and the songs were good enough to like them first time round. Remember hats and dry ice and the singer (forget his name at the moment) had a patch on his eye. Someone shouted "you one eyed bastard" he replied "for those who are interested the bandages come off on Wednesday" or words to that effect..
@anarchylife4me That reflect my idea to I'm also from'68 and grew up with this kind of music awsome time off my life !!! and that stil keeps the dreams from back then alive......

Alex.my ole friend introduced this music to me as a psychological examination of what i am,he was right.
I am stealth, hidden anger and revenge against a formidible foe,my stepdad.
He tortured me as i was a child and this particular tune remind`s me of a small part of what was once intellectual and emotional about my age and time before destruction and fear destroyed most of my soul, but only a part of my still reason`s and exist`s,for some particular reason
This song, this CD, this band, was an important part of my live 15 years ago. I'm so thankfull that they where there to express my feelings I had back then. There will always be a special place in my hard for the Sisters of mercy.
soaring celtic guitars written by Gary Marx. Even though he and Hussey wrote in different styles (Side 1 vs. Side 2 of F&L&A), it worked so frickin well...they weaved like a persian rug together...That album changed the course of my life forever...for the better..Thank you Andrew, Wayne, Gary, Craig and Benjamin (the originators)

A young co-worker turned me on to SOM and "goth" music in 1999. I was hooked. And I was a hard core blues music nut.
