Very pretty. It has a real nice "churchy" sound in Open A. Your version does not have the strong melody line of my version. You are playing around different parts of the correct chords. It would be interesting to hear it with the vocals and/or the melody line played on top. Maybe violin. I would strongly suggest from a study perspective, to not stop here, but experiment more. Thanks for sharing and posting this response. I really appreciate your practice.
I appreciate your feedback, Keni. In truth, a bluegrassy, kinda "churchy" sound what what I was going for. I'm definitely gonna keep working on this and other ones. I agree that the accompaniment of either violin or even harmonica would be interesting as a possible overdub.
This is a lifelong journey that I have only just recently embarked upon. I look forward to decades of growth, frustrations and those magical and ultimately fleeting 'Aha!' moments that go along with it.
you made that look so easy it inspired me to pick up my old guitar and open tune it.
small hands + arthritus + poor circulation = sucks
im a harpist myself, ex-piano
nice job, i was wondering how pleasing this would sound at a higher tempo
