Not sure... I just do what works for me. As they say, there's no right way to knit!

Isn't combined knitting about knitting in the back loop and purling in the front loop of the stitches ?

For both knit and purl stitches, I use the back leg if the stitch below is a knit stitch, and the front leg if the stitch below is a purl stitch. If you have other questions, just let me know.

I fix the twist when I purl - or knit for that matter. Whatever stitch I come to, I automatically untwist it if it is twisted.
