@lweezy2040 i personally think it shouldn't be set in the present era. think about it. the whole point of the game (from the storyline producer), was to set the player in a usually unvisited era of time. it for sure won't be in the world wars, because they use guns. the present era also uses guns. the reason why they went to those early times was because they didn't have guns... (apart from ezio's gun).

and i agree with you. japan won't be that good of a game...

actually "altair" is not the hawk. in arabic it is pronounced as al-taayer meaning "the one who flies". his full name in the game is altair ibn la- ahad. "ibn la- ahad" means "son of no one". ezio auditore da firenze, on the other hand, is a literal translation of : Ezio hearing officer from Florence(courtesy of google translate so i'm not sure if i'm right or wrong)... hope you enjoyed that little bit of info ;)

you and dantess are both slightly incorrect...Ezio is italian for Eagle, and Altair is arabic for Eagle...

as for Altair Ibn La-Ahad...it translates to " Flying Eagle and Son of none"...now for Ezio...when you factor in the fact that Ezio is separate from the rest of the name, it means something else...I hope this helps...Courtesy of someone that studies languages with a passion... ;)
