Tracks that stay in one key. More Blues. More metal. More basic rock. Any track with more than one key should have the whole backing chord progression written out with. When I downloaded some tracks it just wasn't fun to play the complicated ones when I didn't know what mode or implied key would pop up where. It was still worth it for the tracks I liked though.
How about something like sounds and/or progressions, motifs, and a couple of using different chord voicings that Larry Carlton uses? His Tunes are mostly great! Thanks!
How about having maptrack packages or a super deal for all the maptracks toggether?I always wanted to buy all of them but it turns out really expensive :P
@musicman972 I meant upload for sale through the site. Then if you are getting enough at the proper level of quality, which is what really sets you apart from all the others, you might be able to take a break every once in awhile.
I think it would be cool to see some prog tracks that have unique timing changes and such. Would also be pretty cool to see some neoclassical shred style backing tracks.
It'd be killer if you add some more backtracks similar to Beautiful Aolean Scale (Loved it!). Essentially, ones that are made for a clean guitar or one on the verge of crunch.
I'd also love to see some more similar to Happy Satch Mood. I ESPECIALLY loved the part in the middle where the rhythm thins out in it. It adds a really nice contrast.
Lastly, I also feel that some odd time ones (in any genre) would really benefit the site.
+1 for progressive metal and rock, master classes studying a whole track, i mean not the way to play it, but the way to understand why a composer used a x scale on triplet and goes for a legato using y scale and 5/4 signature. oh yeah please.
Salut David. What about technical purposes, aside wth maptracks, scales etc ? for ex. sweep picking, considering the way to play it, and above all to build some sweep lick from A dorian to another tonality? useful theme for a masterclass too ! Another idea : add some guitarist tools on your website such as scales calculator, metronome, chords charts etc. This could give GP.com an "all in one" purpose. Sinon Felicitations pour cette nouvelle mouture, et a très bientot en masterclass. A bientôt
I said it before and I!ll say it again: more Rock and Metal Backingtracks!!!!
I find the prices more than reasonable and have bought maptracks and regular backingtracks ... it has helped with my soloing/theory understanding AND they are fun (most important thing) ... I actually like the maptracks more than the regular backingtracks and would be trilled if there were more and maybe even bundles of maptracks ...
Blues (anything really, maybe some odd keys would be nice), Metal (doom, thrash), basic Jazz (II,V,I), Rock (more complicated rhythms with more chords and changes), Funk (anythings always awesome) Thanks :)
My wife bought me your applied theory bundle lessons for Christmas. The videos and charts are very easy to understand and are helping me to 'get' a lot of the theory that has escaped me so far - your teaching style is much easier to grasp than other I have tried. So much to learn, so little time! Strongly recommend this package and the backing tracks are great too -thank you. Really enjoyed the Heart of Fire track (Happy Satch Mood) even if I didn't win. Thanks for the renewed inspiration.
Hey David! I like the fusion stuff too but I agree with Dodo country would be good, it's hard to find any good country backing tracks on the internet (for me anyway) and if you could get some out country jam tracks out there that would be great!
Looks good, very simple and easy to navigate. When clicking on Maptracks or jamtracks without choosing a specific category, it brings you to a search list, I think the categories should be presented in an icon view like the Jamtracks themselves for consistency. The Homepage grid layout should also be the default and the list view should be the alternate for the same reason.
The Freestuff area contains a typo, products is spelled as profucts.
i would love to hear jazz standars but not in a jazzy feel.. more in a funky way, kinda alex hutchings vibe, those tipes of backing tracks are the ones a found more useful, cause it has chord changes and still have groove. :), best of luck david!
I like the fusion backing tracks, never really considered to use it to be honest because the individual backing tracks are a bit expensive (1,50 is a bit much in my opinion)
And i think i would like a bit more metal backing tracks and meaby some country, just to get more of the genres you have allready listed into the mix, and some more maptracks would be nice .
Otherwise, you could try to cover more kinds of genre's like classical/symfonic ones. So people who play other instruments can use it.
This is high quality customer service :D... I guess I can't help, since I'm getting into fusion playing and that's all I need :) Anyway, thanks David.
