The body is high pressure water line that is over a half inch thick. You are more likely to break an arm, but it only cost about 4 dollars for the stock and 5 minutes to make.
Oh sweet! How did you measure and mark the PVC pipe? I screwed up on one when the arm holes in the back didn't align with the armholes in the back. Any tips?
After a little research and some mathematical computations I came up with a formula that could tell me the spacing required between the arms to fit any size body.
Ok. So I have one of these in my home now. I am completely and absolutely impressed. It functions as a Muk Jong and storage. Its easy to dismantle, and fits right into a 90 degree corner of a room and leaves plenty of space for all 108 movements.
Very nice. Did you fill the back with sand?

I am also very interested in how you built it and would consider building one as a project amongst my friends. I will send you my email.

how is the strength of the pipe? wouldn't punching it and putting pressure on the arms and legs break the plastic?

The pipe alone weights about 85 lb. Its not the PVC you get at Lowes or Home Depot. In total the body, arms, leg and base come in around 170 lb.
