  • Fatalite... Frollo wins.

  • @itsellio That made me lol :]

  • it is Frollo who stabs

Like a boss.

  • Comment removed

  • Wait... wtf just happened? How did he just die !? I swear it looks like he got stabbed by his own conscience....

  • @TheCreeperhunter He isn't dead, only wounded and it's not his own conscience : the shadow from before who told him he was his conscience was really Frollo and there again it's Frollo (or one of his men) who stabbed him.

  • @May3lis Ohhhh ok ty.

  • I just find it so hilarious how a tragedy occurred where Phoebus was just killed, then SUDDENLY Bruno randomly appears out of the floor and yells: "FATALITE"

Seemed almost like Mortal Kombat for a second :D

  • in a way when they sang fatalite it kinda sounds like FATALITY~ ... :O

  • Mdr' gros tripe !

  • God I love this musical:X:X And Bruno has an amazing voice!

  • What the hell! Gringoire came out of no where! lol. It looked like he slid out from under the bed (: Pervert

  • @iluvrimmel asd

  • @OakHeart32 if he was, imagine if pheobus hadn't gotten stabbed.......*is feeling sorry for gring in that position*

  • Finish Him! - Fatality

  • Bam, Gringoire out of nowhere.

  • phoebus est mort??:'( :'(

  • @superb4usfan Non, il ne mourira pas.

  • @Ryoukawaii Malheureusement ;p

  • @Astugirl Il merite a mourir.

  • and, of course (listen closely) another freakishly awesome Clopin note at the end. I love that guy!

  • putain j'adore *_*

  • So Phoebus just dropped dead? 0_o

  • @jackskellingtonsora He was stabbed, but it seems they forgot to show that :)

  • @Amy3422 i think the shadow showed it :)

  • can anyone tell me where I can find the rest of the musical? This is only #27, and I don't see #28.

  • @sestragandiyca this is song number 28. the person who uploaded this numbered them a wrong and is off by one number. the next song is in act 2.

  • @imkatherineee thank you very much!!

  • @sestragandiyca after this song, act 2 beging, so it continuous with act 2 song 1

  • @sestragandiyca

May be to late now, but it contiues off with act 2, im pretty sure.

  • Since when is "meagle" a word (outside of slang)....?

  • thank you for posting all of these vids they are great

  • American education system is broken, no wonder so many americans homeschool and go to online schools.

  • cette comedie musicale est magnifique

  • lol i didn't realize what he was saying if your listing for english

  • fatality! finish him!

  • Fatalité, maîtresse de nos destins!

Fatalité, quand tu croises nos chemins!

Fatalité, qu'on soit prince ou moins que rien!

Fatalité, qu'on soit reine ou bien putain!

Fatalité, tu tiens nos vie fans ta main...

    Fatalité, Fatalité, Fa-ta-li-té...!

  • loved it

  • loved trhe Notre Dame musical when do you all think it will come to the United States???? OMG they are great...

  • Never. They tried in Las Vegas and it flopped.

  • How meagle of the United States Of America's peoples. We don't seem to know true art, or care for it. This is why I'm learning french; I'd like to move to France!

  • I don't think it's a question of being phillistine. It's just not adapted to the market.

  • Nor will it ever, the literacy rate in the United States is crumbling, already, as it is. This is a huge detriment that needs to be staved-off but is highly unlikely now.

  • @TheBookArchive Better get a decent grip on English first. I've never seen the word 'meagle' used in that context. ;)

  • Then you probably jus need to see more. My prognosis are always dead on. Have fun venturing the world of the internet in the mean time.

  • povera esmeralda

  • This is hilarious. Phoebus dies, and out of nowhere this guy comes out and yells "Fatalite!"

  • HaHA i know!!

  • i know! i just started cracking up whan i saw this.

phoebus just randomly dies and the guy appears and yells FATALITY. lmao

  • but they kinda missed the FINISH HIM part

  • ahhaha i know, right?

  • Lol, Fatalité means "Fate", not "Faith". Who's the retard now?

(Not that I'm by any means american)

  • Come on. I know there are plenty of idiotic Americans, but I really hate it when people share their belief in the stereotype.

I know fatalité means fate (which is more than Americans should be expected to know) but I still find it hilarious to imagine Bruno yelling FATALITY!

Just...don't call someone a retard for not knowing a language other than their native one.

  • if someone didn't spell one word right it doesn't make him retard.

Not that you don't have a good point, because someone who make a coment like his, deserve a little lesson.

    Servus !

  • @generalcircle Your comment made me LOL like crazy! Thanks for that.

  • hehehe!! You can see Phoebus breathing hard! I loooove this song!

  • im really lovin quasimodo's stance!! lol!! he rocks!!

  • I kinda cheer when Phoebus gets stabbed. He kinda deserves. Love his voice, but the man is ENGAGED. How terrible.

  • Yeah, but the world is not black and white, there's more meaning behind every action we take

  • I sooo agree with you :) ! ^^

  • omg it looks like phoebus's pants are gonna rip

  • i want to cry each time...

  • bravo bruno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes Phoebus finally got Stabbed

HA, HA, HA, HA,! oh wait he lives dammet!

Claude you can't even stab someone properly you can only manage to wound them not kill them

  • LOL XD Haha, if he wanted to win Esmeralde by stabbing the person she's in love with, he should at least have done it RIGHT! Are you a man or not, Claude!? XD

  • A man??? How can you define a man a person who only wants to f*** a little girl like Esmaralda? And when he thinks that she will be his in prison... Esmeralda has never kissed him... Phebus tries to kiss her in the brothel (not the Val d'Amour, which a Plamondon's invention, but the house where an old woman called "La Faroudel" lives), but he only achieves to kiss her shoulder... Frollo only gives her a sort of kiss when she is in a faint...

  • well don't forget this is abolut the age that girls got married back then. so it's perfectly understandable

  • what about the kiss???? Is no production ever going to show the kiss??? I mean the one in the book, between frolo and esme right after the stabbing...

  • frollo and esmeralda kiss! hehe...they should have showed it, lol

  • Fate, just like karma, can be a b****

  • this is a brilliant way to end the first act!

short and sweet with lots of power! :D

  • the beleife that our lives are already is predestined is FATAL

  • How could I find this book so that I can understand the whole story? Would it be at an American bookstore?

  • I think so... It's one of the most famous French novels. "The Hunckback of the Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo.

  • Thanks! I will be sure to add it to my Christmas list! ;)

  • The Book is pretty hard to understand too,its in old english.I had to read it in french for school.I Like so much i read it in english. Its kinda long, its like 569 pgs or something like that. You can get abreveations that are pretty good. But its definalty worth reading the real thing! Its an AMAZING story!i love it!!!I don't know if it would be on the shelves. You might have to order it.Thats what i had to do.

  • that was badly tracelated shame on the DVD subtitles for being so wrong. "queen or prostitute" is "it is your fault you whore" fatalite means fatailty. At least its not as bad as the actul english lyrics. That was teh tranclation from hell "destiny"... what the hell!

  • Uhm....no....fatailte DOES mean fat in this instance. it can mean fatality as well but here is DOES refer to fate. they aren't just going DEATH A DEATH THAT GUY OVER THERE GOT STABBED!

and "Qu'on soit reine ou bien putain"

means "Whether one is queen or whore" not "it's your fault you whore"

Where exactly are you getting YOUR translations?

  • From someone who has to talk french because of his work who has a french employer. I am currently working closely with him as is my singing teacher to rewrite the musical score to notredame so as we can do an in concert preformance. (we are trying to not to mess around with the words too much) It has also been confirmed by his old boss pascal that the words n the english subs are wrong. Key example "beau comme le soliel" trac-beauty like teh sun dvd trac- "bright as the sun" it.

  • Actual french-born person here, and in this case fatalite did mean fate, more specifically cruel fate; not anything related to actual death. As for the other translation I can't figure out which one you meant was the DVD one so I can't help.

  • I shall take your word on this one as Im getting all my information second hand. Is it true this is Canadian french (old french) rather than french as in that of which is spoken now? Just something I heard (I will admit now i dont know enough french to get fully involved in this arguement lol)

  • A lot of people consider Canadian French "old French", but there are really two levels of it. "Old French" if you will is the commonly speech and "joual" is even older French, spoken in some regions. But that in France has a lot more of Anglicism. So who's to say what the right form of French is?

I've lived on both sides :)

  • There's more than two kinds of Canadian French. There's Quebec French and joual, yes, but there's also Acadian French, and they probably have their own dialect in Manitoba, as well.

And joual isn't an old dialect. It's just slang.

  • ^^ great, I'm totaly agree with you.

  • doesnt Gringoire kill him in the book? or was it Frollo

  • in the book Frollo obtains information about Esmeralda from an unsuspecting Gringoire.with the help of his brother, Frollo makes a deal with Phoebus that allows him to hide and watch Phoebus and Esmeralda.he spies on their encounter as agreed upon until he is no longer able to control himself-he emerges and stabs Phoebus.esmeralda is arrested for 'attempted murder'cuz phoebus doesn't die,yet he does nothin to save her.he and gringoire are the two survivors if i remember correctly.

  • thz Capelaio, way different than the Disney version!

  • in the book the mysterious black clothed man gives phoebus enough money for the motel he will see esmeralda. he gives the money with one condition, that he should watch. then, he gets all jealous, sweaty, angry and all, he stabs p. and jumps into the river and flees.

  • if you watch the whole movie, in the scene before this one you can see gringoire stab pheobus. Watch the lower right hand corner

  • Its not Gringoire that stabbs Pheobus,Claude Frollo stabbs Pheobus.

  • Isn't fatalite death?

  • its fate.

  • Do you guys get who killed him and why? I don't know who but it's because gypsies where like a thing of the devil and so is cheating, so phoebus cheated and died

  • Double karma hit. Score 1 for karma. XP

  • In the book, I think the priest followed them, caught them in bed and stabbed Phoebus out of jealousy. It's been a while since I read it though, so... ^^;

  • Yeah, I haven't read the book. We just watched the movie at school for a project. It's a good movie!

  • It's Frollo according to the script in the 2-CD set

  • Frollo follows Phœbus to his rendez-vous with Esmeralda, where he stabs Phoebus with Esmeralda's knife(due to jealousy and unfulfilled lust), leaving him dead, and her to be accused of the crime. Phœbus, meanwhile, returns to his jealous fiancée Fleur-de-Lys without a backward glance, and esmaralda is once more prone to frollo's horny advances...this time in prison

  • FATALITE ♥

  • he got what he deserved

  • This part made me cry ><

  • YES now there is all of act 1! Thank you! :D
