Love this game. Unique weapons + great physics = fun ;) I actually turn off the combat music. There is some great atmospheric sounds that you never hear with the rock music blasting through most of the levels. Don't care much for the plot, but it doesn't really detract from the game. Its fun to frag in an opera house, cemetery, train station and orphanage... we don't need the weak story to try and make up reasons. The secrets and card unlockables are also very well done. A+ for an FPS.

@Amped00Voice strange, it runs with >120 FPS on mine (laptop). defrag your hard disk (or maybe your laptop isn't that good and has some lame gfx chipset after all? never buy one with "shared memory", that's just fancy wording for "too cheap for dedicated gfx memory").

Well I have Vista on my laptop and I just put it on it 3 months ago. It worked fine on mine but it might not be Vista it could be your graphic card cause on my old computer it had problems with ATI graphic card I had on it but my new laptop has Nvidia and it works fine.

I was hearing that the new painkiller game sucked. I was looking at the videos on here and they make the game look worse then the origanal and almost every comment was negitive about the game. I know the origanal game had great graphics back when I first got it and even now when I put it on my laptop at 1920x1080 the game looks smooth and detailed enough to be called a new game. I don't think its because you have 64bit windows that its not working for you. Maybe find a patch or something.

no, actually a friend of mine got a cutting edge computer on 2004 to play this and the game ran incredibly smooth, so 4 years after that you can imagine you'll be able to run it, it's a great game, try it by yourself
