The other good reason to click the ad once or twice is that if you never click ads, GooTube almost always shows you the same one over and over again, which gets annoying. Normally when you click a particular ad, it'll show you a new one next time you watch an advert-enabled vid.

In the USA the same word has clear implications of criminal behaviour, such as breaking curfew, unauthorised snowball fights, OK just kidding :)

The term "gang" supposedly originated in the U.K. as meaning a group of workmen!
