  • he sounds a little woofy... not as light as other lyrics... is he a lyric?

  • I like his singing style:) But gotta love the conductorXD

  • Too much force at the beginning! This is the Duca di Mantova, not Turridu!!

  • Fabulous voice. If you like Roberto you must see him in Carmen (The Met 2010)on DVD.

  • qui è perfetto.

  • Bravo Roberto

  • Celestial!!!!!! es hermosooo!!!

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

  • The best La donna e mobile for me^^

  • This just makes me fall in love with Roberto all over again <3

  • Bravissímo.....Belo de mais!!!!

  • bravissimo belissimo el mundo encantador ,lindissima voz !!!!!! ,abracos del caminho

  • Eve the cellists are loving it!

  • I love his look at the end its like, "Take it bitches!"

  • Roberto, complimenti che esecuzione!!!!!!!

  • I never heard him, as I do not like lyrics, but he seems a very good singer, not as Pavarotti or Bocelli, but not even to be whistled as they did... I think he has to be followed more by a good teacher, as he has to learn a little more how to obtain the best from his wonderful voice, maybe is a problem of wrong breathing.. But he is also very goodlooking, I think he can make much more and become one of the best in the world, he is still young, he can!!!

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • colora 40 dear canelogno 1. I have not had a head from first day I saw him.

I am totaly headless.I love this man so much and his voice.

  • 60 jaloux!!!

  • wow that man is gonna make my head explode one day

  • Magnifique!

  • ..better than Pavarotti, I think.

  • I respect him since he's largely self taught.

  • his voice reminds me of an angry german shepherd

  • @Masteruny ahahahaha great comment. Not sure I agree but very funny:))

  • I like his voice.

  • Alagna demonstrates how a very angry Duke would sound. Choppy and unattractive, even though the high B is very exciting, ringing and full.

  • an example of the power of voice!

  • j'adore.

  • sharp at High B.

  • Oh, I hate his voice. No technique, awful way of using one note to jump onto another, trouble with landing right on the note. I can't understand how he is so praised, apart from his nice-looking beard, his ex (Gheorghiu) and his ability to pronounce "R" à la française.

  • @LordHettrick To be fair, with 'no technique' he wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of reaching a top B. Not how the tenor voice works. I respect the fact you don't like his voice though - world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things!

  • @tombaker1222 I am absolutely agree tombaker, why some people have to give an opinion so radical.?.we have the right to herd different and saw the wonders, than for other are ordinarities.

  • Quelle voix, super !!

Marco Besso

  • He is the best !

  • @MrWinestyle oh yes, he is one of the best. I had to tear myself away from Pavarotti, Placido and Carrera to hear anyone else.

  • O__O mamma mia che vocione

  • you can actually see how the camera vibrates at 1:49 because of his high note... amazing!

  • he keeps his one ear closed..

  • finale rovinato

  • alagna

  • Amazing!!!!!! Marvelous!

  • Simply Breath taking!!!!!

  • I liked everything but the ending...his fortissimo could use work. It makes it sound cacophonous.

  • This is not "heavy" this is the way this song was meant to be sung, if you could read music , you would see he hit the accents perfectly! This is a recording session, and believe me the conductor would have stopped it otherwise, instead of having so much fun!!!

Abruti!

  • Yeah!!! Roberto alagna very good in this aria but Nicolai Gedda My prefer ^^ check " Salut Demeure chaste et pure" between Gedda And Alagna, Gedda Best High C =)

  • heavy, but not bad

  • he's hottt!!

  • he has so much squillo! It's ridiculous, I can hardly hear the pitch under it at the end

  • He is a bit too impetuous for my taste.

  • It's perfect o__o

  • Its seems like Pavarotti !

  • Superbe! Merci

  • Swe: Akademiskt uttryckt; jävligt bra sjungit.

Eng: In academic terms; damn good singing.

  • Homie Killed It.. Perfect

  • honestly, I think he is the best, at least in this particular song. Even better than pavarotti

  • no one's better than the legend LUCIANO PAVAROTTI..but Roberto is very good..

  • @RamezWezza In your opinion... In my opinion, Nicolai Gedda vastly surpassed him

  • Bloody WONDERFUL WHAT A VOICE.

  • Excelente cantor.

  • Bravo.

  • Quite possibly the "purest" version of this aria ever, recording studios have a habit of bringing out the best in people, and Alagna was at his finest here!!, and the conductor was having way to much fun lol!

  • Bravo

  • Bravo, Roberto!

  • Truly one of the most powerful performances of this piece, by far!!!!!

  • Does anybody know the conductor`s name?

  • @magiemaful if i'm not wrong, that's Sir Richard Armstrong, he's a British Conductor, but there's no much more info of him in the internet. I hope i'd help you =)

  • Wonderful!

  • 1:47 amazing

  • The Best Donna e Mobile!!!!!!!

  • YESSSIRR! This has to be the best I have heard besides Luciano's version WOW, this man has a powerful instrument.

  • Trop fort!!!!

  • God, I just feel like he's YELLING AT ME in different pitches and tones.

  • Hermoso timbre de voz el de Roberto...

  • my ears are bleeding ^^

  • Bravissimo Roberto!

  • Increible....!!!!

  • bravo..

  • maravilloso

    wonderful

  • nice

  • Perfectly!

  • BRAVO !!!

  • FUCKIN BRAVO!

  • sharp on the last note.....such a typical tenor....

  • eli kulağındadır :)

  • -_-"

  • There seems to be plenty of evidence that Alagna has ruined hisvoice. Herehowever in 1994, he was brilliant.

  • DIOS TE BENDIGA MARAVILLOSO

  • Bravo !

  • wow

  • FANTÁSTICO

  • WOW !!! no words...... incredible!

  • niente male ;)

  • Grandioz!!!!!!!!

  • Bravo!

  • I like this a lot! Very nice technique

  • he looks like matt hardy

  • superb

  • sull'ultimo pensier?

non sembra sai? è solo che è potentissimo

  • I have to say not being familiar with opera but having always loved this piece.......It has got to be the best performance of it on youtube. I have watched many and the only other one I would even consider listening to is the live performance of Mario Lanza... Yet Roberto Alagna's is in my ear the most impressive performance.

  • Just impressive!!!!

I can't believe that a voice like this can get out of a human...

    Bravo!

  • Great voice!

  • Un diamante, un genio.

  • Great tenor!

  • very good!!! i like it!! very well!!

  • prefecto maestro !

  • Simply the best performance of "La Donna è mobile"...Incredible voice!

  • Magistral, magnifique

  • good but it is not french even though he is it is ittalin

  • super!!

  • After hearing Caruso, I believe he is the best tenor that ever sang.

  • Are you his mother? :-D the best tenor after Caruso??? but do you have listen other tenors? hahahahah

  • @mariodelmonaco bravo, Mr, Censor( this is to you tube censor)

  • @mariodelmonaco The best tenor of all time is considered to be Placido Domingo, Caruso comes after. By the way I prefer Roberto to many tenors

  • @nfinnnn no Caruso, no party...

  • the conductor looks a little star struck there. maybe he is just happy that it is all coming together.

  • to joelweisberg...Roberto Alagna is now in Seville Spain singing Cyrano. I am singing with him in the choirs and i must to say that he is absolutely amazing as actor and quite impressive as singer but is true that he is not singing at his best. He lost completely his voice in a rehearsal. Nevermind he is very good actor.

  • to spanairbarajas2008: and how did he sing in the performances? The reviews were all very enthusiastic.

  • Truly the most impressive performance of this particular song. Not even Pavarotti's rendition was as stricking!

  • I've heard that Alagna in recent years has lost his voice. I don't know, but I'll say that in this recording of a difficult aria, back in the 90's he was brilliant. This rendition seems as good as any I've ever heard.

  • It's too forward, shouty... the tone is so forceful... this Duke is very angry with women being wayward...but that final B is just so amazingly glorious....

  • Nice B on the end of that!

  • q voz tan maravillosa...

  • damnnnn too awesome..!!!!

I never get enough of it.

    :)

  • i have listened to like 5 times and my boyfriend is going crazy

  • What amazing voice.

    Roberto Alagna is the best.

  • he sounded a lot better before he married gheorgiu and they started doing operas together.... wow

  • questa l'ha cantata bene

  • Once again....he was so fricking amazing. And then he started dating Angela.

  • pavarotti was great

    Alagna is great

    all the above: amazing Tenors!

  • pavarotti is better

  • That's because Pavarotti is the best. ;D

  • yes he was....hands down-

  • he is a lot better then than nowadays...sadly

  • Maybe the best Duca in modern times...

  • flawless!

  • Simply incredible.........

  • Much more mobile, if we expect them to be so...

  • BRAVISIMO

  • bravo!!

  • bravo!!j adooore Roberto!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow i came across this clip randomly and man the singer and the crew is gangsta

  • what is he doing with his hand?

  • so he can better hear actual sound of his voice, becouse with singing normaly and in right way you hear more self resonators and sound that coming back acusticaly from surroundings.

In life perfomance you must trust and hope that everything is ok, but in this case this is recording and everything must be maximaly close to perfect.

  • he was hearing voice

  • @andy84rggr654 listening to himself. try it!

  • sharp at the end.

  • The best I have ever heard, but EL Maestro is still my favorite.

  • lol retard 1:30!

  • rofl so true

  • good but Pavarotti is still better

  • Absolutely brilliant and striking !

  • so rich, much richer than Juan diego....

  • well yeah, Juan Diego is a bel canto singer, and shouldn't even be doing riggoletto in the first place haha.

  • not as good as Pavarotti

  • he is great and cute too

  • love his voice
